Wonderfull ambience , elegant yet homely feel. Lovely food.
Everything was lovely. Not cheap but very special so worth it
Went for the Persian Sunday brunch and it was amazing. Can strongly recommend!
Beautifully presented, well paced. Food that surprises. Relaxed and special.
Really special gem of a restaurant. Superb food and service. The head chef was also serving us which was a special treat. Great wine pairing and all around great value.
food was excellent, casual setting. good for friends or date
service can be improved a little but overall, i would go back and recommend friends
Lovely cosy place, absolutely fantastic tasting menu, at a reasonably price. Would definitely be going back again.
Incredible Valentines tasting menu and wine pairing. Highly recommended.
Easily one of my favourite restaurants in London. The menu is elegant, simple & creative and the service great.
Great lunch here and definitely worth a visit. Thank you to the staff for a great valentines lunch. Will definitely return for the feast
We had a great evening. Wine and food was fantastic, nice atmosphere, and the price all together where fair,
I don’t really write reviews but this was genuinely one of the best meals I’ve had in London. I wouldn’t want to spoil it by telling you why but from start to finish, the attention to detail, the stories and general warmth of the place was only surpassed by the food. Decided to come back again before we’d even finished the meal.
Enjoyed our welcome and the warm service...the room has a lovely relaxed vibe...and the evening went very well...we had to get to another event afterwards and the owner and staff made sure we got through the tasting menu without us feeling rushed...the food was excellent...my one comment would be that the music (excellent playlist) should be delivered with a bit more subtlety ...otherwise an excellent meal!
Great food and lovely place felt like having a dinner at home
Hands down fantastic! Had the surprise 5-course menu. Every item was carefully thought-out and presented, not to mention absolutely delicious. Had the best lamb I've ever had here!
Great and vibrant place with refined and balanced cuisine, as well as a great wine choice. Stunning influences in each dish, served in a modern and comfortable setting. Outstanding service and welcoming staff.
Great place with an amazing vibe. The food and flavours so were well thought through and we absolutely loved the surprise element.
Go with an open mind.
Some dishes were a little bit too small, not sure I would have left very full. For example, one dish was only one oyster, another, one scallop.
Lovely relaxed space with Fab food and wine. Great spot.
Great dining experience from the most knowledgeable and friendly chef/FOH I’ve met in a long time.
Fantastic Sunday evening at the Drunken Butler where we enjoyed the Persian Feast
The service was attentive and the food well prepared
Had a really nice lunch at the Drunken Butler, very friendly staff, well priced and good selection of food. Open kitchen made for a nice atmosphere, will definitely be going back soon.
Truly tough to beat - the Drunken Buttler has it all - Food, Ambience and Outstanding Service. Couldn’t have asked for a more enjoyable experience
Went to the New Years Eve special event - 7 courses with matching wine over five hours leading up to midnight. As usual, fantastic night out at this great restaurant. Really good creative cooking on show, fantastic wine and my glass was never empty, good stuff and a great way to spend the night.
Delicious, authentic, and great service. The best Iranian food I've every eaten at a restaurant. Bravo to the chef!
loved the Persian Sunday Feast. my second time coming to Drunken Butler & already can't wait for my next trip.
Amazing! Each dish was fabulous. We had the 5 course set menu and each dish was better than the last. Service impeccable. Can’t wait to go back!
Fabulous French cuisine with Persian influences that uses unusual combination of elements but married well in every dish. Highly recommended to experience reinvented homecook Persian recipes with a modern touch of French techniques.
Indulge in a cosy ambience with excellent service, fantastic multi-course dining with a wide range of wines to accompany it.
An intimate dining experience with a very small kitchen which opens right into the restaurant. We had the 5 course tasting menu with wine parings and it was all simply delicious.
A friendly, warm and cosy setting that made for an amazing end of project dinner and getting to know my teammates more personally. The food was a constant topic of conversation and we had playful fights over which dish was the winner. We concluded that every dish in our 5 course meal was a win in our hearts. Our utmost compliments to the chef and team
Beautiful evening, very intimate dining- sharing food from yesteryear with a cheffy twist.
A little overpriced for the ingredients used and the wine was very expensive.
Looking forward to go back and have told numerous friends about the place.
Truly exceptional food and experience. I am looking forward to returning
I love this restaurant! Yuma has created a relaxed yet sophisticated restaurant with expertly prepared foods and well selected wines. I’ve been twice for the Persian Sunday menu and absolutely loved it both times. I can’t wait to go back for the French menu! Thank you!
Went for “Persian Sunday”. Just what I expected - very good “homely” cooking's. Quite expensive.
Very interesting wine list - small producers, organic/biodynamic, some very “natural” wine styles.
Will certainly go back to try their normal menu, and to sample some of the more unusual wines.
What a gem of a restaurant! The food, service and atmosphere were all wonderful. FIve stars all around!
The whole experience was great. The team at the drunken butler were welcoming, invited us into the kitchen. Were attentive, explained the menu, the suppliers and cooking methods. The atmosphere was relaxed and were not rushed. I would definitely recommend this restaurant
An absolute gem of a restaurant. The head chef scours through local markets in the morning to find best and the freshest produce and then packages this into a 5 or 7 course tasting menu for the evening. He himself also attends to the tables, which is certainly a breath of fresh air and creates an atmosphere that is at the same time familiar, intimate and unique. Just like visiting an old friend that you have not seen for a long time. Package this with great food and Voila! - you have a superb restaurant experience.
Great food, nice experience, very quiet and elegant.
Blown away by the food. Please go to see this innovative take on French food in London. Just excellence on a plate. Nice spacious tables. A little walk away from humming Exmouth Market. Possibly that is why it is quiet lunch time.
If you want very high quality , limited menu experience then go now. For me this is a keeper and they deserve a following.
Go and judge for yourselves.
A simply delightful evening. The menu was perfect and even willing to swap out dishes if you have allergies or preferences. The atmosphere was casual and so comfortable. Will absolutely return
