   My first time with my family here and we came from long ways to enjoy a great lunch! But unfortunately we didn’t have a great experience. The waitress take us to our table and left us without asking us if we want any drinks and kids menu for my children! Also we waiting for 30 mins and still no one else has been with us. We was looking to the waitress to see if they came to us but their phone or smartwatch was more important. After waiting 30 to 40 mins we decided to leave and I spoke with Bar Manager to let them aware he’s feedback was sorry about that!😤🫥😡

   Service very attentive and friendly. Great wine list. We like to try Portuguese wines and had a fantastic Vìnho Verde. Food from the specials board always great. We'll be back.

    We went for a Mothering Sunday Brunch and the staff were so incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food was superb and all with perfect timing, not too slow or rushed. The decor and ambience were lovely, we’ll definitely be going again soon.

    The experience was excellent, the menu selection is great I would recommend the soup and dessert. They also have a great and reasonably price wine list Their is great amount of open spaces do must be a great venue when there is some heat in the day. We will be back

    I was looking forward to a Sunday roast and ordered the lamb as did my stepdaughter. Unfortunately the lamb was extremely fatty and inedible, my stepdaughters was the same. The vegetables were good and my husband and stepson enjoyed their meals pie and monkfish) but I was very disappointed with the lamb.

    Food was sad and cheap. Amount of food was minimal. Price was rediculas for the food provided. I will never frequent this again.

    Visited Sunday 12th December. We were really looking forward to lunch given that the pub "are serious about Sunday roasts..." The Duke of Wellington is a lovely pub. We were welcomed and seated. The service was great throughout. Generally, the food was good. Two of us ordered roast beef, one vegetarian Wellington and one roast pork, plus three side dishes to share. The beef and veggie Wellington were very nice. Unfortunately, the pork and crackling was not good. I think it was loin, a bit dry and flavourless. The crackling an afterthought, separate from the pork. We prefer something with more flavour with the crackling part of the meat, such as shoulder. I would have asked to change the pork, but my wife was full, so we didn't make a fuss. All accompaniments were nice, except the roast potatoes. The potatoes looked good but were not crispy or fluffy inside. Yorkshires were huge, which was a plus. Cauliflower cheese, Brussel sprouts and stuffing all excellent. This is not meant to be a harsh review but based on The Duke of Wellington being a gastro pub and charging more than average, I think the comments are fair. Roast potatoes are always a challenge to serve crispy and most kitchens won’t get them spot on. We wouldn’t order the pork again if it’s the same cut. Overall, we had a lovely lunch and will visit again in the New Year.

    All lovely but prefer rare beef for Sunday roast. Not sure if beef pre packed. Would like to know my beef is cooked fully on site and locally sourced. Veg portions could be bigger. Lovely place and staff

    Hadn't been for a long while and very pleased that food was still as good, if not better. Had Beef Wellington and Veggie Wellington - both of which were absolutely delicious. Best meal we'd had in ages. Will definitely be returning to try more on the menu.

    Best roast I have eaten out for a long time. I had the steak and ale pie which was delicious, they even gave it to me as a roast dish so I got all the vegetables and trimmings. Very happy and can’t wait to visit again.

    The table with a bottle of champagne in an ice bucket, which I had requested, was ready when we arrived. The service was attentive and very friendly. Specials slightly limited which a bit strange for a 6.00pm booking, but not really a problem. Overall very, very enjoyable evening.
