The food was incredible and presented beautifully. The matching wines complimented the dishes perfectly. The service was excellent, attentive and relaxed. Would highly recommend and we will be back.

We visited for a celebratory lunch. We were well looked after by the staff and there was a lovely atmosphere. The food was stunning! We opted for the set menu and all courses were faultless and really interesting choices.
It was a gorgeous piece of luxury and we will definitely be back!

The quality of Simon Hulston’s is always outstanding. The contrasts between tastes and textures of the different ingredients is exciting and the portions, never large, are more than enough. Excellent, unobtrusive service adds to the experience.

Second time we have been in a few months, both times sampling the tasting menu with matching wine flight, and on both occasions the food and service was exemplary. I cant recommend this restaurant highly enough, if you can get a booking, then go, you wont be disappointed

My wife and I enjoyed a first class lunch at The Elephant to celebrate my birthday. We were given a lovely, friendly welcome and a birthday card was waiting for me at our table by the window. This set the exemplary standard for the whole occasion. Food was outstanding, full of taste and presented immaculately. The team were amazing and couldn’t make us feel more comfortable and happy. This was our first visit to The Elephant and we will definitely be making this a regular event. Thank you to everyone.

Excellent venue. Cannot fault anything. Fantastic welcome and made to feel special upon arrival, attentive. It was my husband’s birthday; this was noted and addressed in a subtle and tasteful manner unlike some brash restaurants. Food superb. Enjoyed everything.

A nice calming ambiance. We both went for the fish as the starters. For the main, I stuck with the fish and the side-kick went with the duck. All the dishes were both thought-provoking and delicious. Most memorable was the monkfish with Kerala curry dressing. Mmmm. More please. We’re not pudding folk but adored our dessert.

We’ve decided to be regulars. Enjoy.

Ate from set lunch menu and it was amazing. The highlight for me was the lemon tart.

Reason for food not being perfect 5 is too thick pasty on frangipani pudding and poached apricots lacked ‘wow’
Service was generally good but we had to ask twice for extra water and the wrong ice cream was served with pudding.
While our table was good some of the other tables were too close for comfort and certainly not COVID safe
