The Empty Glass
The Empty Glass is an award- winning restaurant and bar situated on Sarsfield Street, in the heart of Limerick city centre. We offer great food and amazing value. Where possible we use ingredients from The Milk Market and local artisan producers to make up our menu which has a wide range of fish, salads, meat, game and sandwiches, in addition to coeliac and vegetarian dishes and a healthy kids menu.
The Empty Glass was also the empty restaurant. Food was adequate but not great. Other half enjoyed his chicken wing starter but burger was slightly over cooked. Chips were fab. Soup slightly peppery but ok. Fish of the day was poor. Good service and convenient location but hesitate to recommend.
Everything was outstanding there was a party going on so little bit to load when having a meal but you would get over it the manager over empty glass cant say enough about him hes a pleasure to speak to and very very helpful just a nice person cant wait to go back again
DISGRACE,A JOKE, Un professional. Twats, under construction for the last week, was never told, booking confirmed via email and text, drove 40k, spoiled the night ..it was a 50th dinner, only for the recaptioned in the hotel very polite and nice....Manager could be bothered to inform us on the night ,fuming on the night at what happened. Receptionist did not even know that there was renovation going on. No communication
Should b called The Empty Plate
Food was fantastic and staff were lovely very friendly.
After a draining week we decided last minute to go for dinner so we booked the empty glass.
We arrived and we're met by a lovely waiter.
Food was lovely even the stir fry as recommended by the waiter there was only a hand full of people there so we could sit down relax and hear eachother speak just what we needed.
It was a lovely experience, the waiter was so friendly and the food was exquisite!
Food great best night ever would make it a weekend thing
Went and restraunt which we booked was all booked out for party they could have let us know on reservation. diners moved beside bar with loud music so bad we had to leave staff were lovely and apologised just wish they had let us know restraunt was not a available instead of letting us reserve a table that wasn't there disappointing experience looked a lovely place menu and prices looked good . Again staff were very nice and understood us leaving
The person that was serving us was top class - very personal and polite.
I will definitely return.
Highly recommend this restaurant, the staff here are fabulous and they went over and beyond to assist us, extremely pleasant and friendly. The food was lovely, excellent value for money, lovely atmosphere, I can’t find fault at all, I will definitely be back.
Had a table by the window, large area with no one close, staff very friendly, portions large, very enjoyable evening, thanks
There was a very loud function in the next room in the hotel, and the staff forgot my pint, but the food and atmosphere were top-class!
Lovely restaurant great food fantastic service great ambiance..highly recommend this gem
I would be a person who would normally partake of a main course only so I would like to know if that is an option
Great place and amazing food friendly staff and the wine was flowing
Excellent food great value for money, staff very nice and attentive, overall great place for a meal out
Very nice restaurant, we were lucky to have lovely quite table well away from a couple of Hen Parties. Food was excellent and service good generally, only one small criticism would be that waitress removed plates from table whilst one of the two people were still eating, training should be that table should only be cleared when all have finished, but did not take from a lovely dinner experience. House Red wine was very good too!
Great service, we were running a bit late and they had no problem putting back our time to suit us, meal was great value and very tasty, treated us to free glasses of prosecco because it was a birthday meal, will definitely be back soon
