Lovely staff, food was delicious and a great ambience for a drinks/meal get together with a friend I hadn’t seen for a while.
First time in that restaurant and it’s a very good surprise! The “small” portion to share were very good with a lot of different and very good tastes !
The service was very effective and very nice !
Service and food were perfect. Highly recommended !
A fairly brief menu, but all done very well. Service was also very friendly. The only criticism - and they are not alone in this - is that piped music was set at a volume that stifled conversation.
Been here for brunches before and it's great! Sadly dinner disappointed, mainly due to the service. They did have a decent selection on the menu, the ingredients were well balanced and very tasty. But beware the small portions!! They're meant to be sharing plates but they're more small starters and not worth the price. I will say that the gnocchi, weirdly shaped as a triangle of goop rather than individual gnocchi, was divine. So so tasty and I wish I had more of it! Their £5 cocktail menu is also an attractive part of dining here, I recommend Ginger.
For the service, I'm torn between saying it was the individual server who brought it down or the establishment itself. When shown to our table the whole row except one corner table was occupied. I asked if we could move to the other corner table but the first excuse was: "it's reserved at the same time as your table", to which I asked if we could just switch if they're reserved at the same time, which then came the second excuse "oh but they specifically asked for a corner table". Fair enough, I'm not rude enough to rob someone of a table they specifically asked for! However, not 10 minutes after another couple gets seated, by the same server, between our table and the "reserved corner table" and just hopped to the corner table without any faff. Now this is a wild discrimination by the server as he had no qualms with them taking the corner table, I don't care about getting that table as much as I care about being lied to! Rushed us away from our table at the end as well while we were still eating since our table and the rest were being put together for a big celebration, ANOTHER Lie - a new couple who walked in the door just got sat down the table next to ours.
I love farmer J for their food and decor, but that server ruined our entire experience. I hope he learns from his mistakes/farmer J trains their servers on communication, or that we won't be served by him next time we visit.
Really lovely tasty food. The beef short ribs were melt in your mouth and unctuous. Will be a regular and return here .
Love this place, good food, nice but small selection of drinks. Great espresso martinis and cocktails in general but it is the service that makes this place as good as it is. The staff are fabulous. Just a shame its shuts so early.
Shuli is the best
Lovely ambience and atmosphere. I took a friend here to show him that it wasn’t only a place for quick-service breakfast and lunch.
Attentive, friendly and knowledgeable wait staff (Meytar and Mikayla).
The Chicken Shawarma was full of flavour and the laffa, warm and maleable. Just lovely.
The fig and rose water dessert I found was quite cream heavy and bland, however the Banoffee pie was lovely.
The food was absolutely delicious and service was great. Definitely be back!
The hubby and I went last night to celebrate our anniversary at a place called The Fancy Fork because we've enjoyed chef Shuli Wimer's food before and were quite sold on it, but we can genuinely tell you the food is nothing short of spectacular. We ordered eight different dishes. Three starters, a salad, three mains and a dessert. The presentation is simple but Shuli's focus has always been more about the food and it is absolutely fantastic! Do yourselves a favor and check the place out, you will thank me later!
I love the Fancy Fork, and Farmer J in general. Good honest food that tastes delicious. So easy as a vegan to eat there with meat eating chums.
Thanks so much Ruth! Looking forward to having you back!
The Fancy Fork London Bridge If you love your food. This is a must.
Thanks so much!!! Cant wait to have you back!
Food and service excellent as ever but strongly dislike the new menu- plus it’s gone from being excellent value for money to terrible value for money overnight. £11 for a few mouthfuls of chicken- delicious but still wouldn’t go back for dinner. They will definitely lose customers for dinner.
Lunch remains amazing
Food and wine was delicious :) I visited with my vegan friend and shared food - but still managed to have very tasty food. I wsa very impressed :) thank you
Thanks so much Joanna! Looking forward to having you back!
Natalie our waitress was amazing. She was kind and attentive. I loved her energy and enthusiasm especially when it came to her knowledge of the delicious dishes we ate.
Thanks so much James! That is so great to hear! Looking forward to having you back :)
Excellent service. Food and pricing is overrated
We went on opening night and found everything to be great - the menu had a really nice mix of meat and veg dishes - though we all thought the layout/classification of dishes was a bit weird and could have used a more "to share/small plates" and "just for you" sections to make it clearer. The vibe and decor were great, service was pretty on point too - a few teething issues on a couple of things we suspected but by no means made the evening less enjoyable. Would highly recommend it.
Such a gem in Central London! Unique menu, delicious food and wonderful service. If you can, make sure you sit in 'The Magician's" section. He literally made our night and I will definitely be returning in the near future. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful dinner, tasty, fresh and high quality ingredients. Good. Real pleasure.
Blown away by the new menu !
The food was well presented, excellent flavours and very enjoyable.
The atmosphere was good with great ambience created by candles on the tables and friendly good humoured team . Value for money was excellent.
We will be back !!!
Welcoming, friendly staff. Tasty, well presented food. Room to sit and relax with no pressure to eat up and get out. The cocktails were a bonus! A great place to eat with family and friends any time of day. Quiet enough to chat and light enough to see what you are eating, another bonus!
Great as always but Friday is of course a little louder than usual. Food was excellent and the drinks were made well. Will be back!
Fantastic food, excellent cocktails (241 between 5-6pm) and amazing staff. Lots of veggie options!
The concept is good and so is the interior. Easy to order but some portions were on the small side. Sausages undercooked. I’ve got good eyesight but menu hard to read and staff struggled to tell me if a dish contained nuts. Staff attentive but a bit spaced out. Not great value for money unfortunately.
Excellent all round experience, recommend to anyone.
Lovely food, lovely service, portions are quite small but really filling
Great food and great value for money especially in the city .
Our waiter , nicknamed Magic, was fantastic ; very chatty and relaxed and made us all smile and very attentive.
Left feeling very happy and will definitely return
Cannot recommend this place more for incredible cocktails, delicious food and super friendly staff. I've been to Farmer J's a number of times now and it's never let me down. It's great for a much-needed coffee in the morning, a hearty meal at lunch and evening drinks post-work to unwind.
Very nice and mellow place to dine on a weekday evening. The ambiance is just right for winding down with a good friend to catch up on life. The food is very good, everything tasted healthy but by all means, very flavorsome. We had their Seabass main and the roasted Cauliflower (a must) but the price will set you back for approx £25-30 including a drink. Not the cheapest and the portion is very light and small; meaning that value for money is not great as I was not full after starter and mains. I will recommend to try at least once, but it will be pricey as an occasional go-to.
Arrived and taken to a table for 2 people, when I had booked and confirmed for 3 people. Was then given a booth table which was not big enough for 3 people. There were no other larger tables in the remaining booths,so ended up on communal table. Not all food came at once. Menu description did not provide enough information,so we did not get what we thought we were going to get. We did ask questions, but it is difficult to ask about every item on the menu. We felt we were not given enough attention during the meal. Water, tea and coffee we had to keep asking for,and generally it was forgotten. After all this we were then charged a service charge and for the bottomless coffee. Which were subsequently removed from the bill. One of the party summed it up nicely,it felt like we were a hindrance.
First time for brunch. I love the lunch offering here and the dinner service is pretty good too. I’d say the brunch is overpriced. I don’t like the way all items are the same price when clearly some are much more generous in portion and also more expensive ingredients. That said, everything was tasty - except for the “loaded banana bread” which was stale and tasteless. Also took off a star for the 50p surcharge per cup for decaf coffee. Have never seen that before and it’s not clearly shown in the menu.
The waiter was fantastic. He was fabulous and was the most memorable thing about the evening. The food was good and the cocktails were great.
Amazing brunch, small portions for the price of the food, but would still definitely go again. Friendly staff, beautiful decor, plenty of space so not sitting on top of the people beside you, and really tasty food and coffee.
A regular haunt for me now, the combination of service, quality and ambiance are stunning. Great location for Monument tube and the City, Farmer J is a really positive step away from the more anonymous chain restaurants in the area.
Food, cocktails and staff were fantastic. Great spot for a bottomless brunch and not too 'packed' either despite the location
always love Farmer J. the flank steak was just spot on all the time. slight down side is it's not cheap.
Great food, really nice venue! The 12.5% service charge is a little steep considering it is only brunch food but overall it is great!
I keep coming back to this place because the food and service are great! Would thoroughly recommend the ‘build your brunch’ menu... the food was incredible.
The best brunch place in London! All the food is so delicious and fresh, it tastes so good! I’ve been here a few times now, both for brunch and dinner and every time it’s been impeccable. I think it’s very reasonably priced too.
