Lovely pub, nice décor and a brilliant menu. It is refreshing to see some decent vegan options available! Thank you!
Portion sizes were good and there was a children's menu that was great.
I'd recommend this place for anyone in the area!
If booking, request to sit by the fire - it looked lovely!
Lovely food in a really lovely environment. The staff were very friendly and the pub was really nice inside. Would definitely visit again!
Good adherence to Covid restrictions, social distancing and face coverings. Food was very good - had Mediterranean wrap. Staff friendly. It was a bit chilly in eating area
First time back since the lockdown and part of my group required wheelchair access, very accessible and staff as always gave the best customer service and gave that personal welcome.
The food was freshly cooked, outstanding and delicious! Thank you again Farmers. Look forward to our next visit. 👍
Great for tge grandkids , roasts could have been warmet but appreciated tge hard work the staff to doing to keep thi gs smooth
Really warm welcome . Well organised and friendly.
My wife and I had lasagne which was home made , fresh and delicious.
Great food, and nice garden with play area for our little one to play in.
Food was amazing would pay full price but we went on help out to eat our day.
Drinks I think are very pricey.
Very nice place overall
Good food, great service, nice atmosphere. Friendly service
This was a gamble as we had to pick a pub for lunch in an unfamiliar area. It was Friday and so not many diners and we were a bit lonely in a huge room. The waiter was charming, friendly and helpful. Food quite prompt and mostly good. Three of us were very happy with their lunch but my pork schnitzel was unfortunately overmarinated and overcooked and made me feel a bit queasy. Would go there again if in the area but order something reliable. We didn't enjoy the loop of Marvin Gaye songs playing from a speaker eight next to our table!
It was exactly what I wanted for the evening. Good food, good service.
Fantastic service. Very friendly and accommodating for our group that included a baby and two dogs
The food was exceptional. We had Sunday roast and desserts.
Very easy to park and all covid regulations followed so felt very safe
Food was excellent with very good service, it was a shame there weren’t more people in the restaurant to give a better atmosphere but it didn’t spoil our evening.
Great value for money and attentive friendly service. Slightly chilly sitting outside and possibly would have been nice to have been forewarned but overall a lovely evening and would definitely visit again
Staff are really nice and helpful. Food was delicious again.
The food was good and enjoyable. There was not a problem with social distance.
We had fun
We were welcomed into the pub and shown where to sit (offered the outside area too as it was a nice day),which we chose. The food was excellent, the service was very good (Charles was our server),very polite and friendly although at times he was very busy so we did have to wait a short time to get the rest of our order.
This wouldn’t put us off coming again as the pub has a lovely atmosphere and staff were very friendly and helpful when you could get their attention.
The service was outstanding especially as they were very busy too. The food was delicious
The service and presentation of the food was good. The menu was not very imaginative and rather basic. There was no wine list, you just got a bottle of red or white.
There were quite a few tables crammed in to the dining area, the noise level at times was awful. My pork schnitzel was deep fried and was rather dark, the pork was tough.
Didn't really notice at time but none of the staff wore face coverings, bit unusual. Also rib eye steak was quite chewy. Peppercorn sauce was a bit strong for my liking. Good service generally although staff seemed unaware drinks already ordered. Husband ordered alcohol free beer which was room temperature. Was given a cold glass but would have been nice if it was chilled beer. Would not have been happy to pay £21 for a steak so it was just as well we got the eat out help out discount
The Farmers was so busy because of the “eat out to help out” scheme but the staff did so well under the pressure! Thank you :-)
Family friendly, kids play area, excellent service
Fantastic food and service. It was our first time back at the Farmers since lockdown and we had a lovely family meal which everyone enjoyed.
Been here a few times and every time I come the food and service has been amazing. It’s a great all round pub whether you have kids, go for lunch with a friend or for a special occasion it works for everyone. The waiting staff go above and beyond to make sure you have all you need and everyone who works there are very approachable. Highly recommended.
Hi, value was great as we received 50% discount ! Would have been pretty good anyway. Food excellent. Service great, had to wait a little longer than perhaps we should for drinks, but probably busy. Easy parking, garden. Great
As always friendly staff & great food at a great prices.
The Farmers has a lovely large garden and lots of parking. 😀
Great food and really friendly staff! We have had both Sunday roast and mid week meals and cannot fault either.
Had a lovely meal, eating out in the lovely garden.
Service was very slow, it took 20 mins for them to come back after ordering to tell us there was no butternut squash for the butternut squash salad !! Salad was then served in a scorching hot bowl. My son ordered ice cream, which never turned up.
Service was painfully slow. I appreciate that everyone is taking advantage of the 'Eat out to help out' scheme but the pub must have know how many bookings had been made. The bar was hardly manned and the kitchen was having a meltdown. Another typical British example of a business being a victim of its own success. After an hour's wait, the food was very average. If it was full price, I would have complained. A shame.
Food great, took a while to get it though.
I had a table booked at 8 and arrived on time. We were seated then had to wait 30 minutes to get and drink. We then we looking at the menu. Then when the waiter came to see if we were okay as we went to order he told us the kitchen was closed. This was 9pm after being there an hour. Not happy. Then only saving grace was the manager gave us our drinks on the house.
Waited 2 hours for food. There was that many people the poor staff couldn’t cope and spent their whole time apologising to the customers!
Food was standard with little presentation- won’t be rushing back anytime soon.
Great for families.. plenty of room in the garden. Good ambience and friendly staff.
The Farmers has such a lovely garden and ambiance, but the food and service were terrible.
Well worth a visit
A place was crowded at that time but service, food and atmosphere remained top notch 👍
Took my two children, social distancing was in place and worked well. Great service, great food as always. Food took a while but it was understandable due to how busy they were. Great day!
We had a fantastic meal at The Farmers, delicious food and we will definitely book again.
