Food wasn’t as good as usual. Risotto was very stodgy but tasty.
Lovely meal and such a wonderful garden to relax in the sunshine.
Fabulous service, really friendly environment nothing was to much trouble, lovely play area for the children to play in and the food was amazing as always.
The farmer is a great spot for food, especially on a Sunday with the music. Kids love the play area too and service is usually great.
Great burger and chips sat out in the sunshine with good service
Not great service unfortunately took Forever and we didn’t even get to order desert it was so long a wait we had to go.
Very friendly staff, lovely food and excellent play area - perfect for families.
Had a lovely meal in beautiful gardens, very relaxed yummy food great place for kids to play.
We had a table in the garden on Sunday 6th of June 2021. Clear signs when coming in to the pub to know where to go and the staff were polite when asking us to check in using the test and trace app.
All table service and they immediately took our drinks order (sounds simple but not all places seem to do this). My daughters played in the reasonable sized play area while we ordered food. Starters came within a reasonable timeframe and staff seemed keen to ensure we had everything we wanted. The starters were very good (one rabbit rilletts and one crab tart). Mains came shortly after and my family all enjoyed it (I’d have preferred my burger medium rare but didn’t ask for it so won’t knock them for that). We ordered ice creams for pudding which, unsurprisingly, went down well on a hot afternoon.
Requested the bill which came quickly but with no pressure to leave. Cost just over £100 with service which I thought was good value for money and would recommend. Staff were well organised and pleasant to deal with which really made a difference.
Sat outside lovely comfy chairs luckily nice weather, great food, lots staff , quick service
Poor and slow service. Had to ask for drinks menu. Was given it and told that it was out of date and we would need to tell the waitress the “sort of drink” we wanted. Waitress knew no information about the drinks. Only one toilet. Then charged a service charge. Absolutely appalling. Won’t be returning!
Good and service was lovely, will go there again!
We both had the delicious lasagne in the restaurant.
We had a lovely welcome & were able to sit where we wanted (within reason as it was really busy!) but they looked after us & the dog so well! Got Isla a bowl of water & some fog biscuits!
Toilets weren’t working, staff just weren’t on it...it was a busy bank holiday weekend but they should have been on it. Great kids play area though! Food was average (sadly)
Excellent area at the rear of pub with decking and comfortable chairs and table for eating.
Normal pub food but very tasty.
3 out of 4 meals were lovely but a bit disappointed with one of them. Lovely staff, great atmosphere-fab to be back enjoying a meal out!
We enjoyed the food . Generous portions.
Chose steak pie with mash and veg. The Pie was excellent. The setting was really pleasant. We sat on the raised decking under the awning. Service outstanding during a busy time. A very enjoyable evening.
My lasagne was heated up and the topping was so hard I was unable to eat it or even cut it up
I had high expectations of this pub so I was bitterly dissatisfied
We had a nice and friendly greeting on entry. The food took 50 minutes to arrive at the table. It appeared that the whole restaurant was served at the same time. At least it was served in order of arrival. The food was a little on the expensive side but very nice. The cheesy chips could have been done with some more flavoursome cheese. If the portions were slightly smaller perhaps the price could be reduced? The only disappointing thing was that a tip was automatically included in the bill without being advised.
We went to the Farmers for lunch and booked a table for inside as the weather was going to bad.
Excellent meal and service. I enjoyed the food, we had a wrap and a ciabatta plus some sides. The price was reasonable. The only thing I would recommend to change is that the menu was not very extensive. Some more lighter choices and salads would have been nice.
This was our second visit and would definitely go again.
Only problem the room was so cold.
For ok service excellent but room temperature COLD.
Nice food as always
Great outdoor playground for kids to play
We visited the farmers for Sunday lunch which was really very good. Lots of lovely vegetables and very filling! Will definitely be back again!
Excellent meal , food was lovely , service was excellent , will return
Really enjoyable evening - very friendly and efficient Staff - made to feel v welcome
It was ok, we were excited to eat on the first day back inside but it was so cold we may as well have been outside - we all had to eat with our coats on which is not great. Our meals were ok, kids pasta was not nice and went entirely uneaten as did the other table's child's pasta I noticed - literally pasta with tomato paste. Also don't opt for the 'meal deal' of ice cream and main for £10 - it's a huge amount of icecream for children and again went uneaten so wasn't a 'deal' at all. Just felt it was all a bit too much money for standard pub food in a freezing room. Summer in the garden with the play area would probably be better.
Lovely food and great service with a smile. The play garden is great for kids and luckily the weather held off long enough for us to eat. The marquee wasn't there when we went so if the weather had been worse may have been a bit wet. Overall was good and would come back!
Excellent place, well set up for dining outside, great, no fantastic food. Superb service and what a lovely venue. Really enjoyed my wife’s birthday dinner there. Highly recommended
Service was great garden was nice will come again
brilliant great staff and kids love it there
Food amazing. would have been better experience if the gazebo roofs were on as it rained a bit.
We had an enjoyable Sunday lunch in the garden with friends and our three year old twins. The garden and play area were lovely, the service friendly and the roast beef outstanding. There was quiet piano playing which was nice. The staff kindly found and kept safe our son’s triceratops which we lost.
Met for Birthday Drinks and Meal with friends. Saturday night was dry and not too cold so outside worked - could have done with table candles or something as it got dark though! Great service from staff, friendly and nothing too much to ask.
Very nice pub, big outdoor area, was chilly but there was some cover and heaters. We were there at 4pm so service was quick, will definitely go back
Great food as always and friendly staff, looking forward to going again for their Sunday roast dinner, pet friendly. Thank you 😊
First trip to a pub for a very long time. Picked The Farmers as it has a garden and a playpark for our three year old. Food was fantastic for all three of us. We were sat outside, which was fine; and all of the tables were well-spaced. Just need the British Summer to arrive now!
Service was friendly and efficient, food was good. Downside was the weather!!!!
Great food and seating outside was as good as it could be. Service was excellent.
Great service and food. Play area is ideal for kids.
