I never usually leave reviews but everything about the Ferry House Inn was fantastic... It's the first time I've been to a restaurant since lockdown and I felt so at ease... Everywhere was so clean and the service was excellent :)

Very nice food and good location, slightly over priced but happy to pay as the food was of a good quality. Only things I did not like was that the waiting staff kept disappearing and it took a while for someone to take the order (nearly 20 mins) and that is only because we asked. Also the menu is trying to be stylish but nobody knows that it means, I heard two different people asking what such and such on the menu actually was, just put it in English please. All in all I would return, nice location, staff treated us well, good food.

Couldn’t fault the place! All aspects were outstanding. The food combinations were innovative and tasted out of this world. It’s not a cheap Sunday lunch but you get what you pay for and the whole experience makes the extra few pounds more than worth it.

This review is so easy for me to write as we had a fantastic experience. The staff at the Ferry House Inn were great and that really made a difference to our night. Food was fabulous, the venue was beautiful.

I want to give a massive shoutout to the male member of staff who helped me set the seen for my proposal, which I’m glad to say went well and she said yes.

Honestly people, if your a new customer and debating about booking a table. Do it, honestly it’s a lovely place to visit :)

Seasonal food, skilfully cooked and beautifully presented. A great location with views across the water, the outside tables are perfect for dining al fresco. There's a cosy bar for drinks - try one of the locally distilled gins.

Only downside was sitting in the marquee rather than the pub,few families so expect a little noise. Food fantastic staff very friendly and efficient, we’ve booked a room for our next visit looking forward to it 👍😊

Took my mum for Sunday Lunch here yesterday - was our first visit (recommended by a work colleague). Once we found it (its a bit out of the way) we were impressed - lovely place with great views across the Swale. Staff were very polite and courteous and the food was gorgeous. Highly Recommend.

Waited 10 minutes for a drink in the bar pre dinner. Waited another ten minutes after being showed to our table. After a gentle complaint we couldn’t fault the service. The “tent” was cold and unwelcoming. Food was good value. Thank you

The main course was really nice. Made from local produce. Cooked to perfection. The desserts were a little fancy for our tastes. Would have preferred some traditional choices. Due to Covid practices it was quiet and well spaced out.

Dissapointed. Fish and chips were not up to standard as the chips were over done and soft. The fish was also over done and mostly batter. One of the meals was steak and the chips whlch were also soft and overdone. Some peas with this meal would have been good. Will not be rushing back.

Fantastic Gluten Free Vegan choices. The pasta dish with kale was amazing! Had run out of the Panna Cotta though we were heart broken to not try it. A great quiet getaway location with lovely views and surrounding wildlife. Loved it!

We came down on our should have been wedding date to celebrate with a meal together at our wedding venue.

The food was top class as always, staff were friendly and attentive, the table was set up outside for us with a few extra added touches (that we didn’t even ask for!) that made things that bit more special.

Overall an amazing experience, but then again, we have never had a bad experience at the Ferry House in all the times we’ve visited / dined there.

Would 100% recommend you try it!

This was our first visit. The setting is enticing. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, but the service was rather slow. The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy.
I have heard wonderful reviews about this place, hence our visit as a celebration. I hate being ‘one of those’ customers, but am on a rather strict diet and asked if I could have two starter options instead of a main - as I was (wrongly) assuming there may be salad options on the menu. This is my fault I know. I was told yes that’s fine but the charge would be the same. I was ok with this. The fish starter was lovely, perfect starter size and super tasty. I had the tomato dish as a main, but it was really just a bowl of tomatoes. I didn’t want to make any fuss as this is what was on the menu and all the other food was amazing. I just felt that maybe it would have been nice to have offered me an accompanying salad (leaves, cucumber - anything really) as I was paying full price for two courses. It’s not a complaint - more a suggestion that as a customer I would have really appreciated. Like I say the food was yummy and if I return I would definitely NOT go whilst on a diet! 10% charge is also added to the bill.
