The food was outstanding. We had the chicken liver and mackerel pate to start and both were flavoursome and well presented. The balsamic vinegar drizzled over the garnish added a lovely sweetness to the strong liver and pate flavours. As it was a Sunday, we both chose a traditional lunch which consisted of a beef daube, root vegetables, roast potatoes, tender stem broccoli and gravy. The beef was divine and just melted in our mouths and we were impressed with the dish as a whole. The only tiny let down, purely from my perspective, was that the root ends of the carrots were not cut off and, as I didn’t want to eat them, had to cut all the ends off. Pudding was a blueberry frangipane tart with cream and a Belgian waffle with ice cream. The waffle was standard shop bought, but I was told that the tart was very nice indeed. All in all, a very pleasant couple of hours and the serving staff were very accommodating and helpful. Would certainly not hesitate to recommend the Ferry Inn for a delicious tasting plate of food. Views are great, overlooking the River Teifi and seating is available both indoors and out. I would recommend booking in advance to ensure you are not disappointed.
