The interior of the main coaching inn has been lovingly refitted and restructured. Think Poldark, think pewter, copper, hessian, leather, soft velvet, and rustic wood.

We'll be taking down barriers and letting in the light to create a comfortable open space with nooks and crannies to suit even the most discerning of travellers.

You'll be able to enjoy a bite to eat prepared to order in our refitted kitchen, sit back and relax with a coffee and slice of Ffolkes made cake in our lounge or a drink from the bar and enjoy time in our new games room.

Where we sat there was about 4 children charging around and shouting, we asked to be moved and it came across by the staff as a real effort to have to do this, but they did eventually. The rest of the service was good, we had the pie carvery, very good value but the pies were average.

Initially our pre booked table was next to the play room which was extremely noisy.. Our waitress moved us to a quieter table nearer the carvery. The meal was hot, fresh and well presented. The children enjoyed the outside play area. All in all, a very pleasant experience. Thank you

Smallest pie, except for a mince pie that is. Yes I know they are hand-crafted, but you'd get bigger better elsewhere local. Chose ask to be moved as too bright and on the toilet run. Place is clean and well presented. Think these new spring-up fashionable places should have an option of large (well normal) size. Veg was very good though

We had a lovely meal in the restaurant during our weekend stay. The menu was creative and the food was really well-cooked and tasty. The staff were very helpful and friendly, although the waitress couldn’t talk about any of the wines on the menu. We also had breakfast the next day which again was well-cooked and plentiful. Our only complaint/niggle is that the downstairs restaurant and bar area is very open, with hard surfaces. Therefore it was quite noisy when busy, and the restaurant seems to be very popular with young families - fine if you are also a young family, but not so great if you are after a quiet, romantic meal for two! We would definitely recommend a stay, however. Our room was lovely and in spite of being in the main, older part of the inn, was very quiet.

Our guests had not visited the Ffolkes for many years and definitely well before the refurb. They were very pleased and impressed and expressed a wish to join us there again in the future.
They were also impressed with the menu and enjoyed food from the "Pie Carvery".

Unfortunately the steak meal was poor quality & did not justify the price. It was no way 8oz & had far too much fat on it, so there really was hardly any meat to eat. The meals took quite a long time to come out, even though we ordered before others came in for main dinner service. When we raised this as a concern, all we got in reply was “it was 8oz before it was cooked” no apology or compensation offer. If your paying for a steak at near London prices, then you expect a good piece of meat, also especially considering its in the country surrounded by fresh produce.

We stayed for one night and we had a great meal, the menu was excellent with a good choices. The service was also excellent with a good knowledge of both the food and wine list. Without a doubt we will return, we have stayed in many hotels with restaurants and this one was up there with the best

Had a very pleasant visit to The Ffolkes last weekend. Service was excellent - the staff were
all extremely attentive - even though they were very busy!
The food was very good indeed.
The restaurant was very busy and there were lots of families there and noise levels were a little
on the high side.

Food was poor, very dry and small portion sizes. The kids meal came with salt on the chips. It took 1hr to get our starter and then another 45minute wait for a disappointing main meal.

Throughout our stay at the Ffolkes and our meal, i have to say everything was exceptional. Staff were very friendly and accommodated all your needs, food was delicious ( home made proper food and cooked just like it says on the menu ) I had the 1/2 rack of ribs and the meat just fell off the bone it was gorgeous. Quick efficient service and all round great cozy atmosphere. We stayed there overnight as well and loved our room. Bed was very comfy and the bathroom was amazing! very clean place throughout and loved the design. Would definitely stay here again.

Our first visit to The Ffolkes was a lunch time treat during Norfolk Restaurant week.... so glad we tried this place! The staff were so friendly and made us feel very welcome. The food is typical pub fayre, but we both had pies and commented on how tasty and full they were, good value.
We will definitely return soon. Great outdoor space for children so we will be back with family and grandchildren in the warmer weather too.

Food was okay. Nothing wrong with it just not really anything ‘special’ on the menu. No specials board, I don’t think which would have made some variation to the standard pub grub on the mains menu.

In the last few months we have had breakfast, lunch & dinner with friends or family & all have enjoyed the experience & want to return. Last vist 11th Oct for lunch. Lovely happy servers & all four meals excellent. Well done the folks at Ffolkes

Very disappointing, I managed to persuade my husband to give it a whirl (we are local).
Our food choices were out of stock, the food was slow arriving and stodgy. Drinks didn’t arrive until after starters. Kids chicken was over cooked and inedible.
Very disappointing as we would have been regulars.

We live locally, but without a doubt it is our favourite place for Sunday lunch, especially if we are entertaining guests.
