We'll be taking down barriers and letting in the light to create a comfortable open space with nooks and crannies to suit even the most discerning of travellers.
You'll be able to enjoy a bite to eat prepared to order in our refitted kitchen, sit back and relax with a coffee and slice of Ffolkes made cake in our lounge or a drink from the bar and enjoy time in our new games room.
Returned for breakfast with my family. Something for everyone. Great value, lovely food, lots of choice.
We have eaten at the Ffolkes quite a few times since the refurbishment and from a bit of a poor start it is now excellent. In the last few months we have had breakfast, lunch & dinner with friends or family & all have enjoyed the experience & want to return. Last vist 11th Oct for lunch. Lovely happy servers & all four meals excellent. Well done the folks at Ffolkes
great value good menu reasonable prices
exeunt service good selection of food and reasonably priced drinks overall excellent
Amazing meal today. Great to try the new menu.
Very disappointing, I managed to persuade my husband to give it a whirl (we are local).
Our food choices were out of stock, the food was slow arriving and stodgy. Drinks didn’t arrive until after starters. Kids chicken was over cooked and inedible.
Very disappointing as we would have been regulars.
We live locally, but without a doubt it is our favourite place for Sunday lunch, especially if we are entertaining guests.
It never fails to impress.
Knew that The Ffolkes had been taken over with major funding in recent times and having looked at their menu online, we wanted to visit.
We are holders of the Norfolk Passport which entitled us to a discount.
My partner had the Smoked Pork Belly and I had the Half Rack of Ribs. Both were delicious.
Service from Emma was of a high standard. She was knowledgable and chatty and appeared to enjoy her job.
For dessert, I had the 'build it yourself' Ice Cream Sundae and my partner the Pear and Frangipane thingy.
Very reasonably priced, particularly with out Norfolk Passport discount.
We will be visiting again.
We also received a phone call from The Ffolkes when we arrived home. Apparently, a ring had been found near put table and they were keen to reunite it with the owner. Unfortunately, it was not ours.....but a sign of good service goingabove and beyond.
The couple's at adjacent tables were clearly regulars. Always a good sign 😊
A weekend overnight stay close to an event at Sandringham we were attending. We were shown to a table in the Garden Room for dinner after having checked in. Unfortunately there was a wedding in their function room, so lots of small children continually using the Garden Room as the only entrance to the outside play area, it felt like we were sitting in a corridor. There was no ambience, food basic pub grub, staff were attentive but overstretched.
Great all you can eat breakfast. Kids loved waffle maker
Enjoyed a delicious Sunday Lunch...what more could my husband ask for...a pie-carvery!!! Two of his favourite meals on one plate!!! Heaven!
Staff extremely courteous during a
very busy lunchtime. Have already
recommended the Ffolkes to family and friends and we will be returning very soon.
Well done to all management and staff...excellent!
Good pub food , very good service, and staff very efficient and friendly.
This was the first time we had been to the Ffolkes. Found it a very friendly place with good food and drinks. We hope to come back someday.
Excellent room and very good evening meal during our one night stay passing through Norfolk.
We felt the service overall was very poor it took a long time for our orders to be taken approx 15/20 minutes from having a look at the dessert menu. The waiter/waitresses shirts were not tucked in and the door remained open in regards to people smoking right outside the door. I unfortunately wouldn’t return as a customer and wouldn’t recommend to anyone wishing to go on a date or romantic meal. We were never asked how our meal was throughout which is of normal standard for any restaurant.
Stayed here two nights and ate there both nights. Beef brisket and chicken bacon pies excellent. Good variety of seasonal veg. Fish and chips good too. Excellent breakfasts with wide choice, as much as you want. Good, friendly but unobtrusive service, nothing too much trouble. Especially liked the fact that staff pointed out deals and better value options. Extra good value with Norfolk Passport. Felt thoroughly relaxed here. Modern vintage decor, liked everything.
The staff where very lovely & friendy & helpful. 😁
The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. The meal came quickly. It was well presented and delicious. A faultless evening.
Could not fault the restaurant/bar. The food was delicious, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend 😊
Friendly atmosphere, really good food, everything piping hot, good choices of food reasonable prices, had very enjoyable time with my wife
Went just to have a meal out with family, and the food was excellent. All the food was really fresh and hot. The portions were generous and great value for money.
The restaurant was spacious and beautifully decorated with a mixture of table sizes that would suit most groups. A brilliant looking play area outside.
The server was very helpful when I couldn't decide what to eat, and the service was quick and efficient.
Would definitely go again and this time would try the hog roast which looked delicious.
Great food. Treat for the kids and lovely food for us.
Regular visitors to the ffolkes but disappointed on this occasion to be seated in the breakfast room for evening meal. Asked to be reseated but told a spare table in the main eating area was for 3 people. Wld be better if the breakfast hot plate/self service area cld be screened off in the evening.
Lovely food, very good value
Great evening out with family, friendly quick service & good menu choice
The play area alone is enough to make you come back but the food is outstanding. The hog roast was a big hit !
My first time visit since the refurbishment and found it very good. It was busy with lots of diners and the car park pretty full, but the service was fairly swift and the waiting staff attentive and pleasant. The food choice was varied and should suit most tastes and portion size ample offering good value. Would definitely go again.
Booked an evening meal on our way to Norfolk for holidays. It was a very good choice. Used Norfolk Passport to get extra benefits.
Service was prompt, polite and friendly.
Very good start to our holiday.
We had an absolutely wonderful evening meal at The Ffolkes on Thursday. My wife and I were celebrating our 10th Wedding Anniversary. We were made to feel very special as they had laid on some really cool and romantic candles on our table. We choose a sharing ‘Grazing’ Starter with 3 dishes. It was served on a really cool long platter. The Cromer Crab and homemade Scotch Eggs were particularly delicious. The service was brilliant, the waitress and waiter and a great sense of humour. Our Mains were delicious as well. The puddings were out of this world! We have already recommended the Ffolkes to our Family and Friends. We even enjoyed a really fun game of Shuffle Board, Pool and Table Football after dinner. Excellent.
Very welcoming and friendly staff. Quick and efficient service at the table. Table easily booked online. Varied menu.
Hotel excellent, breakfast menu first class, staff very good the only criticism was the evening menu.it is a great pity that souch a first rate hotel cannot provde a more comprehensive evening meal selection
Food was okay but not outstanding. We were sat on table next to kitchen and was there were a number of children in that area. Felt this spoilt the experience.
Excellent quality breakfast
Really good value
Fantastic meal, staff were so welcoming and felt very well looked after.
Can’t wait to return again!
Holiday stay. Great find with super food and a great selection.
We enjoyed the meal but felt it was slightly expensive for what was on offer. (£70 for a family of 4 which included a child's meal) the service was excellent however and its a great venue. Flies were a big issue. It was an extremely hot evening but there were flies everywhere in the pub. We stayed in the hotel which was lovely, very clean and comfortable room. Would come again but probably for a drink rather than a meal.
Restaurant overun with fly's, which made for very poor experience, management could have done more to mitigate, e.g blue light type fly traps as they have in deli etc, or how about fly spary
Thought we try thr restaurant at the ffolkes since they had done it all up, we had previously been just for a drink. Disappointed with the welcoming as table wasn't ready even though we had booked.
Given menus but had to ask for a drinks menu then that didn't have all availability on it. Ordered food and drink. Starter arrived but had to ask where our drinks were. Main course arrived nothing special other than plates were hot which was good. Unfortunately flies were a big issue on most tables as people were trying to get rid of them! Maybe candles might have helped and I know it's summer so expect one or two not lots of them. We didn't bother with a sweet as the flies had put us off. Some staff need to master their customer service skills and focus on the customer they are dealing with at the time. Might go again later in the year to see if they have improved.
Booking on Open table fab! Food was tasty.Kitchen and service very very slow! Flies everywhere and no means of controlling them!on your food your body the cutlery absolutely everywhere! It made eating uncomfortable. And yes this was inside! I asked for a candle for the table to keep flies away and they said they haven't got any! A venue that tries to promote romantic breaks, meals and weddings and they don't have a candle.? I suggested buying some at the garage next door and I was laughed at! We have been twice in a week so it wasn't just a bad night! We needed to see if it's a regular occurrence and it is!
They have a great play area for children there, so for anyone with children you can relax knowing that this is a child friendly place. The food and service were excellent. We will certainly be back
I’ve visited a few times and Food was very tasty. Sadly low gluten menu has changed since I first visited and it’s not got as much choice now. Service was ok apart from waiter didn’t know what the meals and puddings were when brought over “I don’t know what they are do you? “ was what he asked us, I also had to get cutlery myself as puddings brought out but no cutlery given. Also plates cleared away and was asked do u want puddings when one member of our group was still eating! This is the first time Iv had any issues like this though. Usually when I visit during the week it’s a great service and experience.
