We'll be taking down barriers and letting in the light to create a comfortable open space with nooks and crannies to suit even the most discerning of travellers.
You'll be able to enjoy a bite to eat prepared to order in our refitted kitchen, sit back and relax with a coffee and slice of Ffolkes made cake in our lounge or a drink from the bar and enjoy time in our new games room.
The most amazing place. Remarkable value for money, excellent quality local food, staff are so friendly and helpful. Will go back and take friends and family.
Really lovely breakfast, so much choice ,lovely service and lovely atmosphere
We really enjoyed our meal, great service and food. We will be back!
Good food and friendly service, clean and reasonably priced.
Really Good food in the pie feast. Will be coming back again another time.
great night as ever consistent to other trips and food always high quality
This is one of our favourite places. The friendliness of the staff is wonderful and the service exceptional. All the food we have had is delicious and real value for money.
Enjoyed the new curry arrangements
Liked the starters first
Better curry selection
The ffolks is turning into a great family place to eat. We took our children for Friday night curry, we got there at 5.30 which meant they could eat free which is fantastic. One child had the imlimted curry and the other had off the children’s menu (both free inbetween 5-6pm). They love the outdoor play area so the adults can eat, drink and chat in peace. The curry night is relatively new and they are still ironing out the creases but it was great value for money and we would go again for sure.
As always had a wonderful meal and enjoyed our evening out.Emma av lovely waitress .
I booked in to have the curry night . The food was outstanding good value and service was excellent . Lovely atmosphere will be returning .
Had a great evening and the food was great. The kids all enjoyed it and the staff were fantastic and so helpful. Deffo be back.
This was our first visit to The Ffolkes and I have got to say I was really impressed, a friendly comfortable place with amazing children entertainment facilities which is hard to come by when wanting to enjoy a meal out, this is somewhere we will be booking into again and somewhere we have already been telling our friends about.
Great fresh food
Lovely thoroughly enjoyable breakfast as usual. Only disappointment was the failed ice cream machine ! One or two of us would have enjoyed ice cream with waffles and fruit, but it had run out of ice cream by 10.30 and then we were told a short time later that it was out of order. Hopefully this can be rectified as we will most definitely visit again. Thank you.
We went for breakfast lots to chose from, spoilt for choice.
If we came away hungry then that was down to us not eating enough whilst we had the opportunity to have anything we wanted.
Everything very good, 4 adults who all had 3 courses plus wine and other drinks followed by 4 coffees all for less than £130 , amazing value. Good access off A148 and plenty of hard surface parking . We will be returning to the Ffolkes again .
We had an enjoyable meal and although the restaurant was very busy on Saturday night it was still fairly quiet. It would have been good to have the same waiting staff but we had three who served our table. Food was excellent.
I always enjoy coming to the Ffolkes wether it be for breakfast with my friends or an evening meal with family. The food and service are always outstanding. Always good value for money which makes it enjoyable for families to dine out. Keep up the fab work
Our anniversary meal left a lot to be desired. Disappointed with food one of us had fish which was not cooked quite raw in soggy batter. Sat again on top of chips which were then inedible! Staff very sorry and took that item off the bill. Husband's steak was fine. I had lemon roly poly as dessert which again was disappointing strong taste of suet. Had to ask for water instead of being offered it. Little things maybe but one starts to look for faults. We felt somewhat let down the ambience in there is too basic for our taste sorry.
delicious food excellent and friendly service. Definitely telling all my friends to pay you a visit
Presentation not the best. Chips hidden beneath meat or fish did not do either justice. The whitebait just in narrow bowl no plate beneath and usually a slice of bread and hit salad is served but not this time..
The atmosphere was good and staff were wonderful, so cheerful and very helpful.
There was 4 of us and 3 of the party were very happy with there food, beef pie, game pie and the salmon. I had the fish pie but found it very lacking in fish!! This was very disappointing as it was mostly just potato, the veg were ok. Did tell the waitress and she said she would pass it on but never heard back anything. Such a shame as lovely place to go.
Lovely environment, friendly and welcoming staff and excellent food most definitely a new favourite
Amazing breakfast and great staff great for kids as well a verry nice big play area out back
I was welcomed and shown the layout of the breakfast service promptly. Although I was waiting for my friend to join me I was invited to help myself to tea or coffee. Plates were removed when we had finished each part of the meal and staff were helpful and available if there were any queries.
There is a happy, relaxed atmosphere to the breakfast dining room.
Our 2nd time back, first visit was so nice we needed to go back. Beds are super comfy, we had room 6 this time. It is up two flights of steep stairs but worth it. Food is very good, large portions (we left some) and so is desert. A good selection of alcohol for the small bar. Staff are always really welcoming and not in your face. Great location too, you can see lots of sights within an hours drive and lots of parking. Also child friendly play area.
Food was truly excellent. Good portions. Speedy delivery. Friendly service. Reasonable prices.
Was amazed with the look and decor loved it. The staff were amazing and really enjoyed the night. Was my husbands birthday and they couldn’t have been nicer, even bringing out the cake. Was so impressed with the place especially the young boy who served us very attentive but not overly. Thank you for a very enjoyable evening.
clean tidy organised. all staff agreeable and helpful making a large contribution to an enjoyable stay. a very good menu. it catered for all ages which was a must, car -park was ample. Room was comfortable and well laid out, slept very well relaxing un rushed a all round delightful place.
Great place to take the children for a family meal. Great selection of pies and other bits. Kids loved the outdoor play area which kept them very busy.
Highly recommend the Ffolkes great breakfast excellent staff nothing is to much trouble for them with all the food to choose from it really is value for money and hubby went home very happy and with a full tummy happy faces all round
Great meal with superb service from very friendly staff.
Welcoming greeting from staff, all very friendly.service was first class.
Lovely set out place, plenty of room.
Food was good with plenty of choice on menu. Service friendly. Great play area for children.
Already rebooked..a usual haunt now for friends/family meals
My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful meal here. The food was outstanding. The only down side for me was at the table next to me they had a dog with them. I don't like dogs in restaurants. I don't think they should be allowed. It put me off a little. Other wise I couldn't fault it.
I enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant but my food was cold when they delivered it, once they heated it up it was much better but it spilled my overall experience as l had to eat at a different time to my friends as they had almost completed before my good came back.
The staff were pleasant and attentive. We we had a main course and a dessert. Two of us had the fish pie which was excellent. One had the chicken snitzel ?my spelling, which was very good. The desserts were a different story. I had a lemon roly poly, which was extremely tough, obviously frozen, defrosted and micro waved. One had the baked Alaska which was very dry. One had the pear and almond tart which was not too bad.
Had the game pie - very tasty. Good vfm. Service slow noticeably when the restaurant starts to fill, book an early slot if you want a quick bite.
