Would absolutely recommend the Ffokes - this has become our favourite breakfast stop off on our way to the Coast. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is well-presented, with lots of choice.

we would recommend the Ffolkes hotel. Our room was lovely, but rather close to a fairly
busy main road. I would prefer not to eat on a Sunday evening as there is a substancially
reduced menu.We were told before booking.

The on-line booking system is a bit impersonal, but easy to navigate and quick.
Friendly, welcoming staff showed us into a clean, pleasant dining area. The food was well presented, nicely cooked, and tasted good. The unlimited servings of deserts was a bit too tempting! We were left to relax in the seated area after our meal, which added to the ambience of the overall experience.

The Ffolkes Saturday brunch was excellent. A great selection of foods and really helpful friendly staff. They accommodated a change in booking on the morning going from 4 to 7 people and they were really welcoming with our dog as well. Overall as great experience. Thank you.

We went to The Ffolkes for a Saturday brunch & were very impressed. We loved the atmosphere in the restaurant, the staff were all friendly & helpful & the food was perfect! I particularly loved the waffle station & the croissants but my husband enjoyed the bacon & sausages. Well done, we will definitely be returning.

We ate here because we were staying overnight. The menu is rather uninspiring compared to the surroundings and the accommodation so we chose a 'safe bet' - a steak. The steak itself was very good but the accompaniments: peas etc were over cooked and dried out. The service was appalling. We waited ages to be served, then at the end of the main course we were asked if we would like to see the dessert menu which never materialised at all! We were served by several staff and I think this created some confusion about what had been done, what stage we were at in our meal etc. The pub might like to think about allocating tables to their staff so that each one is responsible for a small group of customers and follows them through from beginning to end. That said, the pub has a great atmosphere and the staff are all lovely.

Great country restaurant and hotel with a big function room, beautiful beer garden with wooden play tree house for the kids.
The food is all home cooked and fantastic. Curry feast Friday and Sunday pie carvery are really great!
The hotel rooms are well decorated in a country theme and extremely comfortable. The AC was a god send this summer!
Great place and can't wait to go back again!

The Ffolkes has been completely refurbished since we last called in there, but the quality of the food is still excellent, and the staff all very efficient, pleasant and welcoming.
Our party of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our lunches, the experience of it all, and will be back.
A ‘must call’, when in Norfolk, for a meal or just liquid refreshment!

The place is fantastic, great for kids, good service. Unfortunately the food didn’t match the venue. The pies look amazing, but are a bit too dry, and everything is quite salty. The Sunday menu was around £19 per person, but the pies disappointing- if you have a limited menu, specialising in pies you have to get them right- small pies will dry quickly, and keeping them hot on hot plates/under lights probably dries them further.

Enjoyed a very pleasant meal at the Ffolkes restaurant. Was staying the night at hotel, and was joined by 2 colleagues who were accomodated by the staff, even though they were very busy.
The food was excellant quality, and piping hot.
The Norfolk Passport is accepted here, so a very gratefull 10% knocked of the bill.

Positive points - the restaurant was very spacious and airy. It was very quiet and was nicely decorated, unlimited soft drink was a great option, the cinder toffee on the lemon meringue was lovely. Fantastic play area.

Negative points - the menu was bland with not a lot of choice, the ribs required a steak knife to get through them, the chips had an odd taste to them, the service was slow (2 and a half hours for 3 courses. The restaurant was fairly empty!), the chicken escalope was swimming in oil/butter, the fish wasn’t cooked, the ice cream machine was frozen (!) so we couldn’t make our own desserts, and the lemon meringue wasn’t cooked enough (the meringue wasn’t crispy)

I’m hoping that this was just a very bad day, as we’d not been since the restaurant had been taken over, but I wouldn’t rush to go back.

Great place to eat, drink and relax while the children enjoyed the Little Ffolkes Play Area. Our first visit happened to fall on Curry Night (Fridays), which was a bargain as you can eat as much as you like...before the all you can eat dessert option.

This was a good meal on Wed. Our second visit not so good. The desserts which are pricey, were sent back as the Meringue was sloppy. We were told it was Italian Meringue and made differently. We googled this, but we found it should still have been a stiffer consistency. It definitely looked uncooked, not worth risking the digestive system. However, the waitress was very helpful. We weren't charged for these. Maybe the chef was having a bad day, we definitely wouldn't recommend them.

We booked a table as we were staying in the hotel overnight. We had the pie carvery, which had a good selection of pies, and vegetables to help yourself to, unlimited within the price. Dessert was also included, with a self serve ice cream machine, chocolate brownies, cheesecake and other desserts to choose from. Overall if you make the most of it it would be reasonable value for money.
