The food was good, not mind blowing and the service was good (but we did need to complain once as had wine pairing and the glasses weren’t being filled equally). Probably one of the most expensive 1 star Michelin places we’ve been to.
Such a treat for a special anniversary dinner. Worth the price tag!
Lovely Chelsea restaurant certainly not inexpensive but the quality of the food the service and the ambience justified this. Due to current circumstances there was only the tasting menu on offer. Always a risk that some dishes are more to ones taste than others as was the case here. However the overall experience was excellent. Highly recommended for any special occasion.
Second visit to Five Fields. It was enjoyable as our first visit & can’t fault anything, it was a lovely evening with fantastic food & service throughout. Will be going back again soon.
Extremely friendly but professional service
Amazing food , should have at least two Michelin stars , way ahead of the many 1 star restaurants we have eaten that.
The room is beautiful and unlike most restaurants there isn’t a bad table in the room.
It is without doubt one of London’s finest eateries
If there’s a better restaurant in Uk am yet to find it!
5 Fields is our local restaurant for special occasions. The food is sublime and the service is very attentive without being OTT. It is a restaurant for people who really enjoy their food most of which is grown or comes from their own garden/farm. We have been going since they opened and have never been disappointed.
Good food. Pretty flawless. Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful dinner and were very well looked after by all the staff. Will definitely be back
Great service, amazing food.
This is our favourite special occasion restaurant. The occasion being lockdown freedom. While it comes, at a premium price, the value is astonishing. Probably the best vegetarian tasting menu you could ask for and the carnivore is equally well looked after. Personal unfussy service and a sommelier who helps without being overbearing. The menu is allegedly 6 courses but add a few extra and the £100+ price tag looks remarkable value. Highlights for me were a dehydrated turnip dish that was simply mouthwatering (not something you could often say!) . The scallop, cod, roe deer and oyster all hit the spot. The 2 stickies just decadent. This is superb top of the range cooking in one of the prettiest London dining rooms! Oh and the soda bread so good we took some home!!
Food was outstanding. Fresh flavours - lightly but exquisitely handled. Although only a tasting menu offered, food quantity not too overwhelming. Would make this my regular if I lived locally
This was an incredibly special evening. The food was some of the best we have ever had. The staff were very knowledgeable and warm and friendly. We will definitely recommend!
Excellent culinary experience alongside an amazing service.
Disappointing to see some diners not wearing masks, noting its very difficult for the restaurant to manage
Great tasting menu . Loved seeing the humble turnip being elevated into something special with the scallop . The brill was delicious and venison , home grown , was superb . Honey from their farm as well was also very good . Paired with wines as well which were well matched . As a couple of users below say it certainly isn't cheap but you get what you pay for . Staff were very attentive .
I have been lucky enough over the years, to have eaten in some of the best restaurants in London, and it would be fair to say that most of them probably are better known the Five Fields. What I can say with absolute certainty though, is that the food and service at Five Fields is so much better than I have had before though. The place is simply superb and it is very difficult to describe the food by saying anything other than magnificent! The service also is beautiful. Well done Five Fields!!!! If I could give more then 10 out of 10 I would.
We have been to many similar restaurants, yet this one kept surprising us with every dish and every canapé. Every dish kept us guessing as to how things were cooked and what ingredients were used. If you are looking for an unusual fusion of flavours you can’t go wrong here.
I wouldn’t ordinarily pay this much for an evening out but this was not in any way an ordinary evening. It was a memory making occasion of outstanding quality. Thank you to the whole team at Five Fields.
Each course was so special, a beautiful experience to share with a close friend. ❤️
Fabulous food and attentive service. We had the tasting menu with paired wines and it was simply wonderful. Sommelier was informative about the wine choices which were also a delight and extremely well chosen.
Can’t recommend this place enough and the food quality goes well above the one star the restaurant has currently!
It was our 3rd time at the five fields and as always, it was an amazing experience. The food is incredible and the atmosphere and service is perfect.
We really enjoyed the experience at Fiirefields. The food was tasty and beautifully presented.
The meal and personal attention of the staff were superb. This was a wonderful birthday celebration in a very special restaurant.
Four of us had an absolutely delicious lunch on Saturday and the service was first class. We really appreciated the fact that there was no piped music. It was our second visit and we all decided this is where we all want to spend our birthdays from now on.
The Five Fields is a stunning all round dining experience. The attention to detail in both the preparation of the food and the way it is served is without equal in my experience - above even the very high standards set by other London Michelin starred restaurants.
All this comes at a cost, but I still think it is good value for what you get - which is a lot. Top marks from me.
The venison was astonishing, as was the plum tart desert. How is that custard(?) filling possible.
New additions to the autumn menu are fantastic. The venison is a most have.
Friendly service from the front of house team who made us feel extremely welcome. The dining room is unfussy and has simple elegance. Beautifully presented and divine tasting food, with unusual and surprising flavour combinations. Delicious negronis!
All in all, a fabulous experience and one that we're very keen to repeat.
The challenge is balance. With a restaurant such as Five Fields you always run the risk of turning up on a night when the menu doesn't run in your favour, and unfortunately that happened on this occasion. In the minds eye it would seem simple to be able to balance out a nine course meal whereby not every serving was a gastronomic tour de f*rce, but alas.
The food was prepared and presented beautifully; it just didn’t hit the g-spot. Grouse or Brill and then Deer for main, it’s a little like being between a rock and a hard plaice (forgive the pun). Beetroot served two ways oh the sadness of having beetroot presented at all.
Still, the service was excellent, the company amazing and the foie gras amuse bouche was terrific.
The wine was okay.
What can I say! Flawless in every way. A spectacular memory for the taste buds and the mind. Loved it!
Excellent restaurant , great service and superb food. However, quite expensive
Everything was awesome, but I loved their customer service the most!! So beautiful!!
Second visit to The Five Fields for dinner after being very impressed the first time. The only option is a tasting menu, which turned out to be too long in my view, perhaps to justify the £110 price tag. A couple of the courses were not really to my taste, although there were others that were outstanding. The canapés set the bar very high. I would have liked to have had an option for a 6-course menu for, say, £90 rather than having to work through all eight courses.
Amazing food, very attentive staff, a lovely dinner from start to finish. Definitely recommending Five Fields to lots of people, and will be going back myself.
The Five Fields as ever produces the finest food in the finest ambience with the finest service. An absolute gem!
A very special place. Service is always excellent and the food exquisite. Dress is casual for guests and we always feel very welcome indeed. As you'd expect special diets are carefully catered for. Highly recommended
interesting food but not extraordinary. cosy room with a noisy group of men spoilt the ambience of an otherwise romantic setting
Every morsel was delicious. The service was top notch. Highly recommend.
