Food, wine, service, everything perfect. The 7 course tasting menu was fantastic as well as the amuse bouche. Attentive and discreet service. Excellent cellar. The dining room is charming yet simple but too noisy and it’s very difficult to talk and enjoy in full such excellent culinary experience. Anyway highly recommended.
Brilliant as always from the attentive staff to the fantastic food and the great wine list.
One of our most enjoyable meals out. Small restaurant, fab decor and best of all was the food - totally amazing! Service just how I like it, someone nearby if needed but not over the top where staff hang so close to your table. Loved the wine tasting adventure to go with the various courses on offer - highly recommended. All adds up but well worth it and I will definitely return again.
I have been a restaurant reviewer in Bergen Norway for 16 years (2000-2016), and otherwise spend much time and money on visiting michelin star restaurants. Over 80 with a star and numerous others. The Five Fields is perhaps the best restaurant I have ever dined when considering food. Everything is extremely tasty and refined. It's much better and more exciting than Ducasse, Pierre White, Ramsay etc. The only place I can remember as being so mind-blowing was the 12 course menu at Bagatelle in Oslo and a 30 course meal at Ronca in Madrid.
However when we dined at The Five Fields for lunch there was only three tables which were occupied. Wake up Londoners, you will probably never have tasted food so good as this.

Great! Lovely experience!
Excellent food, was really surprised!
Personally think this restaurant is a two Michelin stars level.
Love the food, the service and the room. Second time dining here with a 4 year gap between times. I hope it isn’t as long until we return! Definitely in my top 5 restaurants in London.
Superb food, excellent service and a fantastic ambiance. Expensive, but well worth it.
Friendly knowledgeable and passionate service. Delicious food.
Amazing from start to finish
Excellent meal to a very high standard, worthy of 2 stars now I believe
Good food and wine and nice ambience with great service.
Location is also good!
I found the timing to serve dishes perfect too
Service was amazing. Food is three stars! Thank you for a memorable evening!
We all enjoyed the service and our food. The wine choices were excellent.
My complaints - I found the presentation of some of the food somewhat pretentious - designed to impress more than designed to be wonderful food. For example an appetizer with four different presentations of the main ingredient - each on a separate plate or bowl. Awkward to eat and, for me, emphasis on trying to impress, not on trying to prepare excellent food. I am there to eat delicious food, not wanting to be entertained. I also am not a fan of having each dish delivered to the table explained in great detail.
This was our second time at Five Fields and my wife and I really enjoyed our dinner a lot. We went for the tasting menu as we wanted to enjoy a broader range of dishes and we were not disappointed. The food was outstanding. Exciting, but not too technical, full of flavours and just the right size to be satisfied. The wine paring was fantastic just as well as the two glasses of wine my wife had with her food. On the wine paring: this was particularly pleasing as the wines were meant to work with the food and they did. Some wines were ok on their own, but together with the food just fantastic. The sommelier explained the wines and why he chose them for the meal, which was helpful, as I had not come across any of them before. Overall a fantastic dining experience and we'll be back soon.
Superb food and services
Superb food and service
Definitely our favourite London restaurant
Wonderful experience and meal.
Absolutely one of the most stunning meals I’ve had in a long time, the presentation was exquisite and flavours and ideas were fabulous. Our waiter was extremely attentive and we loved the pace of the serving of the meal was just right. Will definitely return soon
This really is by far the best restaurant in London
An amazing evening with beautifully presented and delicious food - each dish a complete work of art but also a brilliant fusion of flavours. My only negative is that I cannot endorse restaurants serving foie gras (and it was rather more expensive than we expected). Otherwise, highly recommended
An outstanding dining experience . Attentive , friendly staff who were able to explain the menu expertly and give extra information about the produce and cooking methods used . The attention to detail in each dish of the tasting menu is exceptional with a variety of techniques and eating experiences. The unique crockery just adds to the meal.
Five Fields was the last night of our vacation in Europe and it was the best of all the meals we had, and when we travel I do my homework on restaurants.
The restaurant has a prix fixe menu for 80 pounds and a tasting menu for 95. The tasting menu looked great but we opted for the prix fixe since we had a late lunch.
The service is impeccable. Always being there to attend to you.
The food is equally great. We had foie gras and red mullet as our appetizers.
We had mutton which was amazing, and I had Brill, which was cooked perfectly.
The offer a cheese course, but its extra. We did not know that at the time, so paid the extra 15 pounds, some table knew it was extra and passed on it.
Our dessert was the cherry with chocolate.
It comes on 3 or 4 small plates to combine the experience.
We had dined at many nice 1-2 stars, but never a three star. At 80 pounds for dinner for one of the best in London, it seemed like a great deal, which it was.
London can be an expensive city, but compared to our last trip, Tokyo, it was reasonable
Reservations are taken 6 weeks prior to booking. If you are planning a trip there it is a great choice.
First time at Five Fields and was taken on a wonderful journey from start to finish. The Saturday prix fixe menu hints at only 3 courses but this couldn’t be further from the truth! After a sequence of delicious snacks our starters came in 4 selected components, each more amazing than the last. The cooking is thoughtful, perfectly executed and makes the most of British seasonality. Deserts were luxurious yet not overwhelming. Will be back again very soon...!
Always delivers on great service, beautifully presented and delightful food
Yet another truly outstanding evening from start to finish.Superlative service, food as art and delicious combinations-foils gras outstanding, brill amongst the best ever and desserts were divine.Great sommelier and brilliant front of house style.Truly one of the best and most intimate dining experiences in London.
Wonderful service and exquisite food
Fresh ingredients prepared and presented in new ways - this restaurant was recommended by a friend and I was sold on the first amuse bouche. The rest of the courses continued to delight my palate. Wait staff was attentive and professional.
We had an amazing dinner at The Five Fields. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff & the food was outstanding (not to mention a visual delight). It thoroughly deserves its reputation. You get so many nibbles, amuse bouches etc so I feel the set menu price of £80 pp is actually excellent value. I can not recommend it highly enough.
Tasting menu with matched wines. Very creative presentations, and playful use of flavor profiles. Many of the items had quite bold flavors, but quite acceptable in bite size portions. One of the best Foie Gras courses we have had among a number of high end restaurants. The eel was perfect and paired well with a pleasant Sake. The sommelier here is extremely knowledgable and seems to have an intuitive understanding of some of the very unique wine matching. The Canary Islands wine a pleasant surprise. Overall, a highly recommended gourmand experience.
I had the tasting menu. All dishes are salty for me.
Treat yourself to an outstanding meal at this amazing restaurant. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left over three hours later, everything was sublime. It's not cheap, but it is worth every penny. Well done everyone at The Five Fields for making such delicious food and a truly memorable experience.
Great service and great food! The staff was very attentive and the dishes were innovative, skillfully prepared, and tasty.
Overall dishes are good but don’t give you a “wow” strong impression dishes & tasty memory. Love the presentation of foie gras, the sauces for short ribs & cod were slightly salty. Chocolate & whisky dessert was good, the raspberry & yogurt needs to be improved especially the raspberry cake was so so.
This is a lovely place to meet and eat . The food is beautiful and innovative. The staff attentive and very helpful. My favourite classy restaurant anywhere!
I have been a few times to this restaurant and always love some of it but not all. The service is good and the amuse bouches mostly good but I didn’t like the cheese/carrot soup combo. The foi gras starter was unbelievable to start with the lovely pickled veg but my main was a bit disappointing. It was for deer with black truffle and TBH I wasn’t impressed with the black truffle shavings, they just didn’t seem pungent enough. The jus was also very salty which is never good. I tasted a couple of my fellow diners deserts and they were ok. We had a great value tortontes to start then a good Priorat so wine was good. Overall I’m not rushing back and with so many ‘special occasion’ restaurants now in London, I’m not sure whether five fields lives up to the mark?
Has to be one of my favourite cities in London. Excellent service, delicious menu and wonderful, intimate atmosphere. Definitely recommend the tasting menu!
Amazing in-house Irish Soda Bread and Sourdough bread at the beginning promised a great meal to come. However, to my taste, half of the food was over seasoned and the other half was unmemorable. Hopefully, this was just a night off.
Food is great, service and ambience very good but bill was wrong because wine was wrongly charged. Very annoying and felt like a scam.
Always our top pick whenever we want a decent dinner ! Never let us down. Unlike most fine dining, in addition to just presentation, you can feel each dish was prepared with heart, the taste and texture were just superb !
