Thank you for amazing food , great service and wonderful time.
We visited this place to cerebrate for my mom's birthday from Japan.
This trip became a fantastic memories , thanks to you.
Amazing food. Incredibly creative and tasted sublime. Wait staff was exceptional - professional and yet warm and inviting. I cannot believe I did not discover sooner!
A beautiful and intimate room, tables nicely spaced for privacy whilst still feeling part of the overall environment. Very friendly and welcoming front of house. Food all presented delightfully and tasting delicious with deep flavouring. Lovely canapés, first cod mousse in a light crisp wafer tube, then ham hock and piccalilli dumplings with a drop of dill mayonnaise, were perfect alongside our aperitif, a delicate and elegant Nyetimber rosé. We were then also served a clever and tasty amuse-bouche of a cheese custard topped with iirc a little carrot and a duck jus. Starters were complex with contrasting flavour combinations. I took the "Sea and Earth", five small dishes with interesting pairings such as an oyster accompanied by a couple of tiny (wild?) strawberries, new season asparagus with razor clam, and finely cut squid with truffle (the stand-out flavour pairing afaic). My companion had the Morel, the mushrooms cooked beautifully three ways, with celeriac, with monk's beard and with offal (amazing). Alongside these, a 2017 Condrieu Les Terrasses du Palat from the Northern Rhone was crisp, clean and dry with characteristic viognier aroma, although possibly a couple of years too young to show at its best. We went down the meat route for mains with mutton for me and roe deer for my companion. Both were prepared perfectly, pink and tender, with unusual accompanying elements that delivered on both complementary flavours and contrasting textures. A 2005 Viña Tondonia Reserve from Rioja was rich and silky and I highly recommend it as exceptional value by the glass. For dessert, I chose the spiced pear with ginger and hazelnut, topped with a spiced apple foam, which was joyously indulgent, and my companion had the apple with strawberry and fennel, which looked fabulous and which she declared tasted fabulous as well. A glass of the honeyed 2014 Renaissance Vendanges Tardives from Gaillac set these desserts off a treat. Overall, a memorable meal in a lovely restaurant.
Service from the front of house to the sommelier was very good but the quality of the food has let it down unfortunately. At that price point, you can definitely get better food and just as good a service at other fine establishments.
Utterly faultless: service, food, ambience and the beautiful wine list. Intimate venue that manages to strike the balance between cosy yet fine dining. Sea and Earth starter is a stroke of genius, always love trying its various forms. Ingenious menu, excellent yet unobtrusive service. A firm favourite. Thank you!
Excellent food, superb service, good wine selection, what else one can ask for in a restaurant? Would definitely go back.
Degustation menu offered exquisite food, beautifully presented in a gorgeous room, served by a staff who really understand the offering
This continues to be exceptional from the moment of arrival-brilliant staff completely focussed on customers, excellent knowledge of food, wine and choices. The setting is intimate with great space between the tables and with the number of covers that allows for conversation without being drowned out by others or overheard.
Food on this occasion was again exceptional-Sea and Earth a complete delight and the new addition for the evening ( I was the first to order) of Brill with the most fantastic green leaves of spring including sea kale.
In my humble opinion, this is in the top 5 Restaurants in London-and a regular for my and our fruends
This was an absolutely outstanding find. Booked on a last minute whim, we had a first rate dining experience from start to finish. The attention to detail (including plate placement, use of crockery and constituent ingredients) was second to none. The food was creative, exciting and full of innovative flavour combinations that really worked. We had an unexpectedly special and memorable evening. Thank you so so much to all the staff, the army of chefs who made everything so perfect - including the immensely aromatic irish soda bread!
Amaxing food beautifully presented. A gastronomic experirnce.
Wonderful food and service, just the right pace on the tasting menu and very helpful sommelier. Thanks for a great evening!
We really enjoyed the excellent food and perfect services. We will definitely come back again.
Simply one of the finest restaurants in London. Delicious, beautifully presented food with attentive, knowledge staff.
Amazing food and wine. Had the tasting menu plus wine selection. Easily as good as two and three Michelin star restaurants we’ve been lucky enough to visit previously.
Truly fantastic! The service is impeccable and definitely will visit again and again!
Impeccable service, really great food, throughly enjoyed it
Another outstanding experience at the five fields. The quality of the food, service, sommelier general ambience is top drawer. We eat out a lot in London and,to be honest, a lot of “reputation” restaurants deliver an average experience. The whole team at the five fields consistently deliver excellence that they all can be proud of. Keep up the super work guys and we’ll keep coming back for more!
The food was absolutely amazing. We have been to several Michelin restaurants before but the dishes at Five Fields were absolutely delicious and beautiful. The service was also brilliant -the staff made sure that all our needs were fulfilled and also did not bother us too much. The room decoration was beautiful although it can get a little bit loud. Overall, an amazing experience! We definitely would come again
Excellent service by very attentive staff.
Food not only tastes great but is visually stunning. Foie Gras to die for
Not our first time there and is not going to be our last.
The best and very worthy ! Highly recommend! !
Intriguing food. Rock solid service. Surprisingly informal.
It was a fabulous meal great service ambiance was lacking but it was a Monday night
I’ve left a glowing review on Trip Advisor already and that review was written almost immediately after dining here. I cannot fault The Five Fields. The cuisine is exciting, creative, innovative and intensely pleasing. Food is not just extremely well-cooked, but beautifully presented - a veritable feast for the eyes. The chef is daring and not afraid to experiment with bold flavours and textures, all of which work marvellously. Canapes, amuses bouches, pre-desserts and petit fours enhanced our dinner. The wine list is impressive
The staff are delightful-efficient, knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Exactly the correct space was given between courses.
The dining room is charming, relaxing and our whole experience was excellent.
This was a great experience and, as I have already said, I cannot fault it. It is a truly wonderful place to dine.
Service was really good. Tasting and starter did impress me. The white truffle is seasonal dish and give a good combination of flavors. Short rib is excellent.
Excellent. Delicious tasting menu - creative and well balanced flavours, combined with outstanding service.
As always a great place to come and eat and try there new menu items. We come back every year.
Outstanding experience, and one of my favourite meals in London over the past two years. Eclectic but on point menu, with great service to match. HIGHLY recommend.
It was unfortunately very quiet when we went but the Tasting Menu was great and the service first class. It wasn’t cheap but I would go again.
The food was quite simply brilliant, my partner and I are vegetarian and I don't eat nuts, this was processed without a problem and everything was as seamless as one would expect.
Great for special occasions or just an opportunity to treat yourself to a quite brilliant experience.
My first time to this establishment and it did not disappoint. The entire dining experience was delicious, authentic warm staff and very good wines by the glass.
The service was so on point
Fantastic staff, brilliant menu, sublime settings. Absolutely perfect for a birthday, and really appreciated the distance the staff went to for my partner’s birthday.
Impeccable service, creative, decadent food, an exquisite mix of texture and flavor. Beautifully presented without taking anything away from the food.
The white truffle starter was a perfect beginning. The suggested wine pairings did not disappoint. I’m not a fan of desert but this was actually excellent, a banana soufflé with cardamom ice cream. An 88 Gewurztraminer Vendanges Tardives was a nice finish.
Some of the best food I’ve had. Outstanding in that no weak link bought the average down. I found the optional extras bumped up the price considerably but the overall experience was superb. The service was also first class and they all operated as a coordinated unit.
Big smiles from my wife too.
I’ve dined at Five Fields multiple times and it’s my favorite London restaurant. Michelin star is well deserved with more stars to come. Was there this time for the first Friday lunch. Menu, always inventive, changes frequently around locally sourced ingredients, including the restaurant’s Sussex garden. Portions are generous. Quiet, elegant, setting allows for easy conversation. Service is impeccable. Excellent wine choices
A sensational meal with superb wines and fabulous service. Loved it.
Lovely dinner. Service was a bit slow and haphazard but they made up for it. Food was superb. Would definitely go back, but only on special occasions.
What a treat this was. Every morsel was imaginative and fascinating. I’d be hard pressed to pick my favourite course but it’s maybe the aubergine starter. Totally amazing! There were splendid amuse bouche tasters along the way too. One often sees fine dining as a form of theatre but these dishes were art too. Quite beautiful.
A clever menu which gives you the main flavour of the dish but leaves a surprise because you don’t know how the dish is going to be constructed.
The staff were approachable, wonderfully helpful and charming. No fake snobbery here. Professional service, showing how it can be done. Smooth, unfussy and faultless. My soufflé was held up and the staff were very apologetic for the delay. Furthermore we were presented with an extra sweet from the taster menu. I’m still thinking about the bright green granita. I couldn’t work out the amazing flavour. It was tarragon, a little basil and lemon juice. We had already enjoyed a sweet little orange amuse bouche so three deserts! I couldn’t bear to leave any and I don’t usually have a dessert.
Great wine by the glass at reasonable cost. Some very fancy wines available too. My only complaint would be bottles of water at over £4 a bottle. Ok, we should have asked for tap!
It is difficult to get a booking but keep trying. It’s worth it.
Best meal I have had in London. Beautiful, tasty food.
Started off very well, with excellent service, and uninterrupted supply of items from the tasting menu.
But suddenly stopped after about 6 courses when there was almost one hour delay - with explanation or apology.
Also, there was no supply of fresh air in the restaurant - so it became very stuffy after about 90 minutes.
Wonderful start but poor finish.
