Friendly & very helpful staff, great food & drink, lovely children’s menu, good value, quick service even though they were very busy with a wedding party too. Brilliant place.
Lovely table outside in one of the horse boxes.
Food was prompt.
Shame the pizza ovens weren't on when we arrived at 1.00 told they weren't on this lunch time but pizzas were served at 1.30. We'd have waited.
Food we ordered was very good though and service was very good.
Enjoyable meal. Fun to be seated outside in a horse box !!
Will go back when in the area again.
Lovely pub in a really pretty village with great food and atmosphere.
The ambience of The Fleece is lovely; it is our "go to" place to bring visiting guests. There is a wide selection of food to choose from, and the quality is very good. Also, the serving staff are very pleasant.
Friendly efficient service, excellent food, great beer and a beautiful venue. The Fleece is one of the most consistently enjoyable places to eat and drink in the Cotswolds which is why it is my favourite pub.
Very interesting experience we had a horse box. Clean, open and cosy with an electric heater for the cooler evenings. Food was excellent and bar staff very helpful. We booked an evening theatre performance at the barn outside. Watched the Morris dancers too. All in all, excellent.
Ours was an experience that we are keen to repeat at the earliest opportunity. We chose to eat outside which was a delight, but shall go for inside next time to explore.
Excellent choice on the menu, beautifully presented dishes and scrumptious. Service was bright, attentive and efficient. We just want to go again, simple as that!
Lovely historic pub. Generally good food but let down on both occasions we dined by some of the vegetables being way undercooked. Carrots and thicker pieces of broccoli inedible. Lovely staff and surroundings.
We booked a table for inside. When we arrived, since it was a nice evening, we decided to eat in one of the areas outside. They were very accommodating with our request.
The waitress was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our meal. All in all, we had a very pleasant evening.
Fabulous historic pub. Imaginative use of space outside with open fronted marquees and horse boxes. Gorgeous building inside and out. Food fine.
Absolutely stunning, great food, pleasant helpful staff, great atmosphere, and a great back story to the pub. We had a fantastic evening throughly enjoyed it.
Very quiet a distinct lack of atmosphere. The food ranged from good to average. And the service was poor. and to top it of the waitress tried to overcharge us by almost £40 won’t be going back
This is a wonderful place to visit and to have a meal. We stayed overnight and the breakfast was very good too. Highly recommended.
Atmospheric dining experience. Great food. Excellent service
Lovely food, surroundings and staff were really friendly.
The food was amazing, but felt sorry for the girls serving, very short staffed due to COVID,apparently the hospitality section is under pressure but they did a brilliant job.
We were fortunate to have decent weather to sit outside. The pub was really busy at 6:30 so we did have to wait a long time. The steak and ale pie was delicious. Would recommend if you are in the area
Excellent service and delicious food. Lovely to sit in the garden
Lovely setting, great food, great atmosphere. Loved it!
Great location and super staff. Last time we were there we had a great Sunday roast. Less good this time - perhaps because it was 5 pm and the roasts were at the tail end.
Lovely meal (Sunday lunch) excellent service, second time we went as so good first time
All ok and not a problem. Very friendly waitresses.
Very enjoyable experience. Such an amazing place to eat. Very nice to meet and chat with the Landlord about the history. Really appreciated hearing tales of the old Landlady who ran the pub and her 'shoes'.
Lovely food, friendly staff. Put in a corner despite booking table days in advance and the seating was rather uncomfortable.
Food has gone really downhill. Garden has more atmosphere than inside.
The food here is so lovely, a nice twist on good home cooking.
Lovely food served by friendly staff.
This historic pub has a wonderful atmosphere which the National Trust should be proud of . So glad it is in safe hands and will remain a National Treasure.
Excellent service and amazing food. We had two starts which we shared which were lovely and a perfect start to the wonderful mains and deserts that followed. Very friendly and welcoming staff and a cozy setting to spend a pleasant evening.
The food and pub were great, locally sourced ingredients and uncomplicated but delicious. Perfect
We stopped here for lunch after walking the dogs on the local footpaths. We love the fact that the pub has retained its oldie worldly feel. Great food and the beer was excellent.
A lovely location, my main course didn’t match the description on the menu and the portions were a little on the small side. The rest of the food was lovely.
It was very interesting to eat in such a historical venue. The service was excellent. I had the vegan pie which was absolutely delicious. The only downside is that as I am on holiday I won’t be able to visit again.
Fantastic place tick all my boxes ales were superb, food though was good but potatoes on roast were soft and reheated and and plates not hot at all, these minor errors can be fixed
The pies are amazing as are the other dishes. It's just a shame there is not more choice for vegans and vegetarians. The service is always very good and it's not noisy so you can talk to people.
Beautiful place to spend our anniversary dinner. Love the pub and the food. Only gave 4* because the service wasn't great. We repeatedly asked for water and it eventually turned up when we'd finished our meal. Also we had to ask for more milk as they only brought out 1 tiny jug for 2 drinks (this also took ages to turn up).
Warm welcome, pleasant staff but table provided for 3 was too small and although the food was ok the pizzas had far too much strong cheese on them and the olives, bread and dip had more stale bread than fresh which was disappointing. Drinks were fine and staff were efficient. Pub is full of original features and provides a lovely experience.
A super lunch, food excellent and the staff were so attentive , nothing was too much trouble! We’ll definitely be coming back! We’ll done to all!
Great place to eat, that is children friendly. Food and staff were great.
All pies are delish!!
Would benefit from the children’s swings being reinstated.
We loved the horse box too!
No better place to spend a sunny afternoon, than sat in the orchard with a nice lunch and a pint of cider.
