The Flying Egg
The food was great, but unfortunately the service was terrible. We waited over 15 minutes for our waiter to initially come over. We had to remind him several times for things we asked for (ie, a spoon, drink, etc). After giving us the check, he didn’t come back for another 20 minutes to process our cards as we watched him standing and talking to the hostess.
Had the steak & eggs over easy with rye toast. Delicious!!
Delicious food, great atmosphere. A great place to take family and friends!
We were excited to try it, but the service was very slow. Waited to place our orders, then one of our party waited so long for their coffee that they had to go up front and ask about it. They couldn't give us a bill at the end to show what we ordered and just asked us to pay a figure, which was very unusual. It was a shame as it seemed so cute and the food was good but the overall experience was unfortunate.
Good food, nice location. We really liked it and can't wait to visit again.
We came for breakfast on Saturday. Our reservation was at 9:15... after ordering it took 45 minutes to receive our meal, and in the meantime we were just forgotten about. Our coffee cups ran dry and no one was around to fill them. When our meal did come out 2/3 came out at first and we waited another 5 minutes for my friends dish. Our food was lukewarm as if it had been sitting under the heating lamp for awhile. And the worst part is, no one apologized for the wait time... love the food, and the atmosphere but I’m not sure I’ll return.
Great breakfast with a dear friend at The Flying Egg in Bethlehem today. If you ever need a place to spend time catching up with someone and enjoy great food and only want to be disturbed to have your coffee refilled, try The Flying Egg...I give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Second time there, had the Chicken n Waffles. Large portion and very good. Try the Classic Bloody Mary!
This is the second visit in a row I have waited over an hour for avocado toast. Once it arrived the bread was not toasted. The flavor was lackluster. The restaurant is extremely loud. Unfortunately we won’t be going back. We loved this place when it first opened but it has really declined.
The restaurant was bustling for Sunday Brunch which caused service to be a little slow, which for our group was fine as we were not in a hurry.
I went there for breakfast my breakfast came out ice cold. Very disappointed.
Fresh ingredients. Somewhat upscale, but not pretentious. Good breakfast.
We had a good experience and will definitely return.
The front of house doesn’t do the kitchen any justice. We eat here 1/month and the food is always great, but the service is always underwhelming. Today 5 of the 6 tables seated outside with us had issues and the “manager” did little to help. We go for the food and we tip well because of the food. If you go, don’t expect decent service. Oddly, we haven’t had service issues at the other restaurants owned by this ownership group.
We had a great breakfast at The Flying Egg! I would definitely recommend to make a reservation; line was out the door when we arrived! The menu selection was amazing - I wanted to order one of everything! It is important to note they also have many vegan options, and great breakfast cocktail options. Only downsize is that it takes a bit for your order, but everything is made-to-order. Loved the ambiance and vibe of the place. We will definitely be back :)
Absolutley love this place. I recommend making a reservation because it decreases the wait time.
Fantastic food and great servers! I have never been disappointed going and will continue to go. This is my favorite breakfast spot.
had a reservation for 10:45 for brunch. hostess said it would be a 5 minute wait while tables were finishing up. TONS of people waiting for tables. hostess also telling people there was a 90 minute backup in the kitchen...for breakfast food. Waited 30 minutes and still weren't seated so we left and went somewhere else. terribly managed establishment and will not be going there again. there are several other great brunch spots in the area that know how to manage tables. go there instead!
This day was a difficult time to eat breakfast. We arrived and had to wait 15 min pat our reservation. The restaurant was very crowded. We were told no busboys showed up and multiple servers called off. Three managers showed up the help and the PR Person was bussing tables and doing whatever was needed to get people seated and served. Because they were so short the kitchen was really slow as well but coffee was plentiful and the food was excellent. Will still go back again.
Our table was waiting when we arrived. The wait staff was just attentive enough for us to enjoy our brunch with friends. I made my brunch decision by looking at the platters served to others. I had the chicken and waffles that were delicious and enjoyable. We will be back.
Food and service were fantastic!
A little noisy and our server seemed overwhelmed. But great location great food and appreciated the efforts of staff
The waitress basically forgot us after bringing our drinks(well half of our order) Half of our order never made it to our table, no silverware, never asked if everything was okay. Worst breakfast ever!
First time there had the Eggs Benedict, very good. The skillets look great!
Can’t wait to go back!
The service was very good, food was excellent, very busy place.
Great service, very friendly employees. I had two tables reserved and although my guests were late they didn’t pressure me to speed up the ordering process. I wish they had more egg plate options - but overall a fantastic experience for my daughter’s 16th bday celebration
The Flying Egg was a perfect spot for Saturday brunch to celebrate family birthdays. The place was bustling so I was glad we had reservations. Orders were taken in a timely fashion and there was not a long wait for our food which arrived fresh and hot. I enjoyed my caprese omelet and would not hesitate to recommend this vegan option. Our five breakfast entrees also included chicken and waffles, the shorty Benedict and The Works dish. Everyone enjoyed their picks and I’m certain we will be returning to this Main Street spot.
Cute hidden gem on main street. Cozy interior, polite staff and delicious food. Coffee was fabulous!
Went for Sunday brunCh and sat outdoors with my wife. Environment was great, table pleasant. Our server was attentive, brought coffee and beverages quickly, then took order. The coffee was hot and excellent brew. We ordered classic eggs Benedict. When it arrived, the English muffins were dry and over browned as were the slices of Canadian bacon. Poached eggs were good, however there was very little hollandaise sauce. I overheard another table order cocktails and when a manger checked on our meals I asked her about cocktails. Apparently there is a cocktail offering (mimosas, Bellinis, etc), but we didn’t received a menu or information from our server. Not sure if we would have gotten anything, although we had spoken about it before we arrived. Overall, FE is a cozy place and I’d visit again.
Sunday morning breakfast. We are outside which was lovely and the food was good, not exceptional. Caprese omelet lacked flavor but Greek was tasty. Server was not speedy, had to be reminded several times about simple requests and an extra order of French toast came very late.
Everything about it was terrific — especially our server, Brigid.
The ambience of the Flying Egg was fabulous. The food was delicious and our server attentive. Only drawback was that it was so cold! It was a warm summer day-but to feel so chilled to the bone, I had to drink multiple hot drinks to keep from shivering (and I wore a sweater!). I will definitely go again-but dress in layers!
Wonderful breakfast or brunch spot! Great menu selection
Our waitress was rude and felt like she was rushing us. The resturant closed at 4 and our reservation was for 2. Rude. The food was mediocre and kinda cold when it came out.
I would recommend it because my wife’s omelet was excellent. My crispy chicken was dry, the fries were soggy, the brioche bun was the best part.
Just love the vibe of this place. Love how they have renovated this place.
It was our first visit to the Flying Egg. We arrived on time for our reservation, were seated immediately, then ordered. Our food took about 25 minutes to arrive, which seemed like a long time for basic brunch food. When we got our meals, all 3 of us were satisfied with the dishes, but there was nothing out of the ordinary. Everything was fine. Just okay. Service was courteous and polite- we got regular refills on our drinks and our server made sure to check in regularly. The check came and with tip, for 3 of us, it was over $50. Ultimately, the reason we wouldn't recommend this restaurant to others is the price, length of time it took for our food to come, and just that we felt the food was fine but not great. There are many other (maybe not as trendy) places that serve as good or better breakfast/brunch food at much lower prices.
My mother and sister were visiting so my girlfriend and I wanted to take them out for a nice brunch and chose The Flying Egg. The staff was so friendly and everything was delicious - with huge portions! We’ll be eating well for the next few days. Thank you for a great brunch!
Our service was great and the overall ambiance is cute. My husband had the caramelized apple waffle and it was dry. I had the crispy chicken sandwich, which was ok, but not a lot of flavor. The other people in our party had an ok let and classic eggs Benedict. They were happy with their food.
Great place to have some good food. Atmosphere is very nice but a bit loud.
Would go back and definitely recommend.
