The Flying Egg
Great food options, ,Vegan, Vegetarian, Carnivore.
Got to the restaurant with my 6 month old and friend. We weren’t seated until 20 minutes after reservation time. hostess stated they overbooked reservations. Once seated Waited one hour for an omelet and salad and their response was the kitchen was backed up. Food was decent at best.
The service here is top notch. So welcoming and friendly. 10/10 would dine again.
We went to the Flying Egg for the first time. It was truly difficult deciding what to order!
Everything sounded great and looked great, as well! Would definitely go back!!!
Enjoyed a nice birthday brunch for my husband.
Nice brunch spot with tables available outdoors.
CON: Service was a little slow and the check-in process was chaotic with people practically on top of one-another.
PRO: We were eventually seated at a table with good distance from others and the food was excellent.
Food was great! Really neat place! We were seated next to the check-in so it was a bit busy. Despite that, I enjoyed lunch and will definitely be back!
I visit this cafe Everytime I'm in the area
. As usual, the service was great and the food was tasty with good variety. We tried their new special mimosas, I enjoyed the Pumpkin Mimosa alot, definitely recommend the drink and this place. Very nice outside dining.
Excellent fresh food and outstanding service. Highly recommend!
Great food but wait super long for your order. Happens every time
Very quaint and a great breakfast menu. My wife got a pulled pork eggs Benedict and I had their smoked salmon eggs Benedict. There were two Benedicts on each of our plates a substantial side of fried potatoes with onions and and peppers. Our waitress was very friendly and right on top of everything. Very good experience!!
Good place to meet outside. Delicious food and great service.
Waited over 30 minutes for table even though I had reservations. Had to remind them I was there. Food was awful was told after we sat down the food delivery truck never arrived so they were out of certain items one being bananas which you can get anywhere. Years ago these restaurant's were the place to eat but it seems their service and quality of food has gone down the drain in all their owned restaurant's.
This is such a nice place to meet friends. The food is amazing, staff friendly, decor charming.
The hostest was ABSOLUTLY HORRIBLE!. She continued to promise people tables who just arrived when people with reservations and who had been waiting extended amounts of time still had not been sat. My party had to go up several times to inquire as we kept getting ignored and others were sat before us.
Service in general was slow. Food was tasty, but service killed the experience.
We ate outside and watched all the happenings in old bethlehem. The eggs benedict was very tasty. Our friends had the gluten free english muffins which were very good. I will order them next time we come.
I am vegetarian, and most of the things I wanted were not available, which was really sad, because I waited like till 12:45pm, because that was the first availability to have brunch, and then I found out its not available.
I would recommend a friend, but probably tell them to make sure to book early, as you might not have the food available.
I highly recommend the 3 Meat Skillet!!! Give it a try!
The Flying Egg is a great place to have breakfast, lunch, or brunch with your friends! The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the there is a good spread of food available.
Just had fun and very good food!
Food took very long
Our server was awesome tho!
Do not go here. The wait is always horrendous, the food comes out slowly and it’s expensive. Made a reservation that they did not honor. This restaurant has been open for a couple of years but they still have not figured out how to serve food quickly. I have been multiple times and the last time was the final straw - I’m never going back.
This was the 4th time we’ve tried this restaurant. It will be the last. Their other locations (Tapas on Main, Urbano, Cachette) are amazing, but The Flying Egg just can’t get it together. Every time we’ve waited almost an hour for food. Last time, as we sat sipping coffee for 30 mins waiting for someone to take our order, our server came over and asked “are you waiting for your check?” Um, no, we’re waiting to place our order! This visit was the last straw. We had a reservation and it was not at all busy, maybe 6 full tables outside and nobody inside. Placed our order fairly quickly, but waited 30, 40, 50 minutes and still no food. Ordered a simple salad and sandwich, nothing difficult. Server apologized but we weren’t even able to get water refills despite asking several times. Manager came over and apologized for the wait, said he was going to discount our bill 20% for our trouble. Ok, that’s fair. We asked if we could get some toast to tide us over since by now we had waited almost an hour and were starving. A few mins later, our order comes out, followed by the toast! Server repeats that we’ll be getting a discount. Food was fine, but still couldn’t get water. Had to ask for the check after sitting, clearly finished, for another 15 minutes. Check comes, no discount. We point it out to server, who apologizes and blames the manager. Takes the check to adjust it along with my credit card. 15 mins later, still no check, but party at table next to us has gotten theirs (they weren’t even finished eating.) Customer at that table asks us “are you waiting for your check? Because I think he just gave it to us, along with your credit card!” Sure enough. Thank goodness they were honest! Signed the bill with a sigh and decided from now on, we’ll stick to their other properties. Such a shame!
Came here two days in a row since I stayed at Hotel Bethlehem. Both days service was extremely slow and nonexistent. Between getting dirt and debris in water to not receiving silverware after the food came out and was cold. Better management would be nice to better direct servers and kitchen staff.
Our waitress Belle was very nice.
This was our 2nd visit. Of all the waitstaff, only one girl was vibrant and friendly. Unfortunately she was not our server. Upon entering, we were greeted with, "Do you have a reservation". Maybe a "Good morning " would have been a better way to enter. Waitstaff was happiest talking amoung themselves and seemed bothered by doing their job. The food was pretty good except the sausage links were way overcooked and not the best quality. When ordering the French toast with caramelized bananas, was told out of bananas. Asked if I wanted strawberries, blueberries or mixed berries I chose mixed. When plate came just had strawberries. The manager/owner was very friendly, walking around and asking if we needed anything. Overall, food was OK but staff needs some training on friendliness, except server with long blond hair that was in a ponytail. We were patrons on Sunday Aug 2nd 8:30am.
Avoid at all costs!!! We went on a Friday to avoid a weekend rush. Cook seemingly forgot our order on the griddle. The eggs came out like hockey pucks after a 35+ minute wait in an empty restaurant. Plenty of other (BETTER) options available.
The food was really good, however it does take a very long time. I also felt like my particular waitress didn’t want to bothered.
The food and presentation was very good. Love to try different things every time I visit.
The food was AMAZING, but the Bloody Mary was next level!
Food is always good. Fresh and tasty. Took my kids for the first time and they enjoyed it
For a perfect Sunday brunch, or any day they are open, The Flying Egg delivers on a delicious menu, in beautiful Historic Bethlehem, Pa.
We were seated inside with no wait. Inside is nice and bright and clean looking. Service was good and food was absolutely delicious. The flank steak with eggs was cooked perfectly and the home fries had great seasoning/flavor. We are looking forward to another brunch there soon!
Management needs to work on making sure all servers are trained the same way. Also, please organize your hosts and host stands.
Food is great, but I just know i will get half assed service every time i go.
Sat outside. So nice to relax in the fresh air and enjoy a latte and breakfast.
This restaurant is absolutely adorable and has great customer service! Also, the huevos rancheros are SO YUMMY!! Perfect brunch spot!!
Great food. Ate outdoors. Good service
The Flying Egg is always a favorite. The food is delicious, service was prompt. Our server was delightful. Staff wore masks and outdoor tables were spaced apart. Indoor dining, when allowed, is a little more noisy/bustling than the outdoor setup. Our family will definitely return and would recommend to others.
My coworker and I love going to breakfast here on a Saturday morning. Great food!
Wonderful Food, Service, and Ambiance. Loved being able to sit in the window and watch the streets of Bethlehem. Perfect spot for a ladies brunch.
