We were a group of 4 friends. The service was very friendly and the food very high quality. The menu has a range of plant based options which was excellent to see and the two of us who closed the vegan dishes were not disappointed.

Sadly, the restaurant had none of our first order of wine, only one bottle of our second and this was overly warm. When we ordered, we were, some time after ordering, told that one of our three starters was not available. We also had people walking though the restaurant with takeaway pizza and, it seemed, from the hotel gym. Also, within a short distance if our table was a pool table with the accompanying noises both from balls and players.

I wish I’d know this restaurant is actually in a hotel. Quite disappointed when the taxi dropped us off. Felt like we were eating in the lobby. Food was good and nice to have a pool table for the children but in a random part of town and just not what we were hoping for.

Service was appalling, especially as the restaurant was not even half full on a Saturday night. Staff were not attentive and were just standing around chatting to each other, it took over 20 minutes to ask if we wanted a drink and then longer for them to bring it out leaving the wine on the side to get warm. We were not asked if we were happy with the food or if everything was ok. Food was mediocre tasted like it came out of a jar - would not have put the price tag on the food we had. Would not recommend to anyone and will never be coming back.

very pleasant place - the waiters friendly but did not always listen. Food good but not special. A nice place to have a meal away from home but perhaps not for the special occasion we were planning. The environment was bright and functional

Poor service, inattentive waiting staff who brought the wrong drinks, forgot things that had been requested, and had to be prompted to bring parts of the meal they'd forgotten. Service also very slow despite restaurant being quiet. Vegan roast was brought with Yorkshire puddings made with milk. We didn't stay for final course as it was taking far too long. Shame because we had good meals here a year or two ago when it first opened.

Ordered pork cutlet and fish and chips. Fish and chips were good and cooked well. However the meal took 45 mind to arrive with no starters in a restaurant with very few diners . The pork cutlet was over cooked and very dry . I couldn’t be bothered to tell the waiter as it was now 10pm and had been waiting too long as it was. I did let him know when he cleared the plates and asked for the bill which then had a discretionary service charged which I asked him to remove.Temperature I the restaurant was chilly with too much a/c . Waiters not very attentive .

Everything about this place was perfect! The food was spectacular, cooked beautifully. The service was fast and all the staff were very friendly. The interior of the restaurant was stunning. Our overall experience was so good we decided to go back the next day for lunch.

Had the most outstanding evening we booked for my birthday this week. The food was incredible, all the staff was genuinely happy, smiley and friendly they looked so polished and presentable in there outfits! Massive shoutout to Megan singing the music was the best touch. We then went and played some pool and had some drinks we was meant to go into Cambridge city centre to keep going to bars but we had such a beautiful atmosphere we spent the entire evening there. I have now made another booking to bring my mum and grandmother. The parking is brilliant, location and the whole space but what stands out is the staff hats off! Been in the industry myself before and that ran so smoothly everyone knew there positions. Top place in Cambridge for us ❤️

A delicious meal on a Sunday evening before the bank holiday. Restaurant was not particularly busy and the service we received was friendly and efficient. Well-prepared and nicely presented food. The lighting was a bit too bright for the place to have much atmosphere, we felt, but the hotel lobby area and restaurant design were modern and sleek. Would recommend.

It took a long time to have the food arrived. The staff forgot to give us bread we ordered. The bill was wrongly calculated where we were overcharged. Food was alright but not particularly impressive and so didn’t worth that price. The ambience is very nice though.

A great evening. Our waitress was slightly bonkers but gave us such a laugh. Food was fantastic. It's very open plan so there is no 'quiet' area. However, it was fine as it was not too busy.

First, the good things - our waiter was great, friendly and efficient. The food was better than we've had at the Folio Bar and Kitchen before (I had trout with fennel, artichoke and a ragout of white beans and chorizo - delicious!). Prices are somewhat high. Now to the bar, where the two guys serving couldn't have been less interested. The first one ignored me completely (there was no-one else waiting to be served) then, when the second one appeared and started to serve me (with a glare rather than a smile), the first one woke up and asked me if I was being served The boy serving me then had to ask me again what I'd ordered...I wasn't even asking for something difficult - just G and Ts. Hopefully they were just having a bad day!

Service was very slow. Staff were about, but seemed confused about what tables they were responsible for. We had four different waiters serve us. Drinks orders had to be taken twice, and a basic St Clements drink could not be made. No bread side roll offered and had to be asked for. Coffee order has to be sent back, as the second coffee was either tea, or used coffee beans. Decaf was requested, but on getting home neither of us where suffering the symptoms of having caffeine. Not very good when you want to go to sleep. I wish I had not left a tip now.

A nice place to eat although a little on the quiet side, maybe as it is tucked outside of the city centre. Location - within the The Fellows House Hotel, with basement parking (very convenient) Ambience - Lovely cosy bar area, a surprising cross between traditional leather sofa / fires and shiny new. I liked it, seems like a good place to have a lounging drink. The restaurant was bright and airy with lovely tones of sage green and chocolate. Only downside was how quiet it was - I don't like noisy restaurants as I like to be able to talk to people, but only a few tables were full so felt empty. Which is shame. Food - very nice, and good value. Overall - I will eat here again, good for a quiet business meeting or a low key gathering of friends.

Basically you're eating out in an overpriced, average standard hotel restaurant. I feel there are only people there as the hotel is out of town slightly so guests have limited choice, otherwise the place would be deserted. Food wasn't bad but nothing special, in particular the desserts were very average, but everything was hugely overpriced. Service was non existent, it took. 20 mins just to pay the bill. I'd not return and really wouldn't recommend.

We had a really lovely meal at the Folio, the service was excellent despite it being a busy night. We had a relaxed evening and didn’t feel rushed at all, which was great. The starter (scallops) was a little salty but still delicious. The mains (brisket, and lamb) were absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful flavours! All in all an excellent meal, and I think we would come back again if we’re ever in the area.

Pleasant setting, friendly service, interesting menu and we were very pleased with both our starters. both our mains and both our wines. Two observations - the chairs were too low for the table, and we really could have done to be 6-8ins higher to eat in full comfort. And unfortunately, neither our plates nor our food were fully hot. If these things were put right I would give five stars! Thank you for a very pleasant evening.

We loved our evening at Folio. The food was delicious with a good choice of vegan options. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The only problems for us was the non existent signage outside (we didn’t realise the restaurant was inside a hotel of a different name and so we were late) and the fact that our seats and table were very low which made it difficult to eat comfortably.

We love Folio! The turkey meal was disappointing in that it was dry didn’t have a fresh taste and wasn’t what I’d expect for a “festive” experience. The drink menu is smaller than it once was, and the delivery of the drinks was not very timely. However, the overall experience was lovely as always.
