The pub was founded in 1846 and it began its life as the Bedford Arms. Ten years later it changed to the Prince of Wales and in 1965 became The Fox & Pheasant and we have no intention of changing its name again!
Not only are we a snug pub in the winter with 3 fire places, a dartboard and dog biscuits for the well behaved companions (dogs)! We are lucky enough to be able to wind back our roof in the conservatory for those long summer lunches to.
Alongside our a la carte menu we have a bar snack menu that not only runs all day, everyday but also contains such pub classics. Roasts run all day on a Sunday and we guarantee to make sure you will always have ample spuds, gravy and yorkies!

Excellent . Food delicious and staff very friendly
We chose our favourite pub in London to treat our beautiful son on his first Communion, he loved the duck and the sticky pudding while his brothers enjoyed a burger and his sister the legendary pie! We will definitely be back in 2021 as soon as we can!!!
Great food, wonderful staff at reasonable prices
Amazing old fashioned boozer with much better than pub grub.
Excellent adherence to Covid guidelines with kind thoughtful staff and delicious food.
First time back after lockdown 2.0 and looking forward to returning again in ust over a week. Always had a superb evening here.
Hidden gem. Great service and covid secure set up.
Very cosy and warm. Great service and delicious food. Smallish menu and quite standard for pub but really delicious. Cute place.
Was recommended to give this place a try
Read up on the story about the pub being saved and booked up

Thankyou
Great place! Good food, the staff were lovely!!!!!
Lovely to be back again at the Fox & Pheasant, good to see all the lovely attentive staff still there. Food delicious as ever. Will be back soon.
Just a bit over priced. Food was yummy though. Also, the service was second to none. Very attentive staff.
Fantastic spot. Great fireplaces add to the already cozy and homely atmosphere. Loved it so much I've made a reservation for all Sundays in January, haha!
Great service as always from the lovely team!
The food is simply delicous.
Another amazing meal at The Fox & Pheasant. The best place to eat in Chelsea for sure.
Fantastic could not find a fault.
Never fails to amaze. Was second visit the service is excellent and the food is amazing as always!
Stunning as always, the staff, food and atmosphere was great
As always amazing food and service. And feels so Covid friendly. Feel that every
precaution has been taken. Such attention to detail and nothing is too much trouble.
would not hesitate to recommend it.
Great service! Arrived and the table was not ready so we received complimentary drinks on the house of whatever we picked! Sunday roast was amazing!
The food was amazing! Really really good! The service was top notch as well. We were in the small room upstairs. Highly recommend!
The food was amazing, especially the roast and the soufflé but some of our experience was disappointing:
1. My boyfriend is gluten intolerant, so I told the restaurant on the telephone and they said that was fine and they have “a gluten free menu”. When we arrived we asked for the gluten free menu, and were told it is the normal menu and the gluten free options are marked up on it. Well disappointingly, there was only ONE gluten free main and two gluten free puddings. Hardly a “gluten free MENU”.
2. The restaurant was really busy and as a result service was quite slow, which wasn’t a problem in itself, but a waiter then came over just as we were about to order pudding to say we’d nearly had our allotted two hours at the table and he would get our bill. He said there wasn’t time for pudding. We pleaded with him to let us order as we’d heard the soufflés were so good there and he agreed but said we’d have to eat fast. It was a rather stressful end to a lovely meal.
3. Finally the burrata portion, in spite of being £8.50, is absolutely tiny. About 3-4 bites of it. It was delicious though!
All in all I would really recommend this place as the food is so good- but I felt disappointed by the issues we had as set out above.
Smart, stylish London interpretation of a country pub!
As always the team in the Fox & Pheasant were fantastic, lovely country style pub.
Love the pub and they have made it so Covid friendly so you feel totally safe. The food is always delicious and the specials especially seafood specials are always tempting.
Great pub with great food. Also cater for gluten free and had a delicious gluten free soufflé which was a real treat. Great ambience too, very relaxed and cosy. Would recommend!
Great staff and a buzzy atmosphere a great place for any informal occasion
Been many times and never disappoints- must go for Sunday roast
I took my mum here for dinner, she had a fabulous time. The staff are absolutely amazing and so friendly, it was a really lovely enjoyable evening. I recommend the restaurant for all occasions.
I would be careful eating here if you have an allergy - the Allergies menu was misleading and the waiters all told me different stories about what I could eat.
We love the Fox and Pheasant and have been many times, really enjoying the food, ambience and staff. In these troubled times we want to show our support and continue dining out at our local pubs and restaurants.
However this time we were utterly disappointed, after my partner and I spent a Sunday evening there, amassing a £120 bill we were charged £2 for masks, we stupidly forgot our own and was handed 2 on arrival. To be charge £2 when spending £120 on a quiet Sunday evening is, to put It frankly disgusting!
In times of uncertainty and hardship, businesses should be happy and grateful for trade and most certainly not charging customers, especially those spending vast amounts of money £2 for masks.
We won’t be returning to the Fox and Pheasant out of principle!!
Lovely Sunday roast, very attentive staff and delicious food. Thoroughly enjoy every visit here!
Excellent, friendly service.Great Sunday lunch and very good value.Coping very well with pandemic restrictions...feels super clean and safe.Excellent choice and some very special dishes from the kitchen.Coffee crepe brûlée’s to die for!
I'm a regular at the Fox and Pheasant but this was my first visit for the Sunday roast, and my first Sunday roast in over a decade. The roast was excellent, their "special" dessert - a coffee creme brulee - so wonderful that I don't have the words to describe it. As always everyone made me feel like family, and I had a thoroughly enjoyable time.
The Fox and Pheasant was a comfortable old pub, refurbished well.
We ate downstairs in the conservatory, which had a nice atmosphere. The food was OK and the service was very good.
Very expensive for a pub, £86 for 1 starter and 2 mains and a bottle of Chardonnay.
I had a lovely meal with my daughter in the conservatory of the Fox and Pheasant. The meals were well presented and there was a good choice. The staff were very friendly and professional. Overall the feeling was welcoming and I would highly recommend a visit.
Super cosy and perfect for a Sunday roast. Will come back again
My husband and I have been going to the Fox & Pheasant for a few years, and it is easily one of our favourite spots in London.
Exceptional food, pristine service and all in all an amazing experience.
I just love your gorgeous pub. The staff are amazing and the food offering is off the charts. Divine puddings too. Thx!
Wonderful food, lovely attentive staff with a great sense of humour. Not even the restrictions get in the way of the ambiance! Friends couldn’t make it down and the staff helped our friends arrange a bottle (huge magnum) of wine for the birthday boy
