The Fox & Pheasant
The pub was founded in 1846 and it began its life as the Bedford Arms. Ten years later it changed to the Prince of Wales and in 1965 became The Fox & Pheasant and we have no intention of changing its name again!
Not only are we a snug pub in the winter with 3 fire places, a dartboard and dog biscuits for the well behaved companions (dogs)! We are lucky enough to be able to wind back our roof in the conservatory for those long summer lunches to.
Alongside our a la carte menu we have a bar snack menu that not only runs all day, everyday but also contains such pub classics. Roasts run all day on a Sunday and we guarantee to make sure you will always have ample spuds, gravy and yorkies!
- Surfaces sanitised between seatings

We love the Fox and Pheasant and have been many times, really enjoying the food, ambience and staff. In these troubled times we want to show our support and continue dining out at our local pubs and restaurants.
However this time we were utterly disappointed, after my partner and I spent a Sunday evening there, amassing a £120 bill we were charged £2 for masks, we stupidly forgot our own and was handed 2 on arrival. To be charge £2 when spending £120 on a quiet Sunday evening is, to put It frankly disgusting!
In times of uncertainty and hardship, businesses should be happy and grateful for trade and most certainly not charging customers, especially those spending vast amounts of money £2 for masks.
We won’t be returning to the Fox and Pheasant out of principle!!
I'm a regular at the Fox and Pheasant but this was my first visit for the Sunday roast, and my first Sunday roast in over a decade. The roast was excellent, their "special" dessert - a coffee creme brulee - so wonderful that I don't have the words to describe it. As always everyone made me feel like family, and I had a thoroughly enjoyable time.
The Fox and Pheasant was a comfortable old pub, refurbished well.
We ate downstairs in the conservatory, which had a nice atmosphere. The food was OK and the service was very good.
Very expensive for a pub, £86 for 1 starter and 2 mains and a bottle of Chardonnay.
I had a lovely meal with my daughter in the conservatory of the Fox and Pheasant. The meals were well presented and there was a good choice. The staff were very friendly and professional. Overall the feeling was welcoming and I would highly recommend a visit.
Super cosy and perfect for a Sunday roast. Will come back again
My husband and I have been going to the Fox & Pheasant for a few years, and it is easily one of our favourite spots in London.
Exceptional food, pristine service and all in all an amazing experience.
I just love your gorgeous pub. The staff are amazing and the food offering is off the charts. Divine puddings too. Thx!
Wonderful food, lovely attentive staff with a great sense of humour. Not even the restrictions get in the way of the ambiance! Friends couldn’t make it down and the staff helped our friends arrange a bottle (huge magnum) of wine for the birthday boy
It’s always fabulous. Honest food cooked perfectly and the staff are vibrant and extremely attentive.
Very cosy space. Good value food. Lovely service x
It was our second time at The Fox and Pheasant since lockdown, and each time has been excellent. I appreciate their attention to detail on keeping everyone safe while at the same time keeping everything friendly and helpful. The food was also fantastic.
Another amazing meal and experience at the Fox & Pheasant!!
Good atmosphere and delicious Sunday roast!
Friendly staff was very attentive.
It’s an amazing hidden gem in Chelsea.
Such a lovely little pub, the restaurant set up is very well managed. Gorgeous food and drinks and atmosphere is also lovely.
Service is super pushy regarding up-selling. Wait staff must be pushed by management to increase value of bills. Not impressed by dining experience. Will not be returning.
Love this pub and great that it's only a few minutes away from where I live.
Awesome as always. Great food, they never put a foot wrong!
Finally we got to go back after lockdown enforced abscence followed by lack of free space. Reserving your table in very good time (a week before) recommended.
Food was great as usual, the small and friendly team treated us with fantastic service. The Social distancing measurements are well balanced. You feel safe in a welcoming milieu.
Lovely pub and amazing Sunday lunch! Will be going back.
Great evening even if curtailed at 10pm for obvious reason!
Lovely venue, remember it back in the day 1970’s when it was my local. Tastefully restored, conservatory were the dining takes place is an attractive area. Food and service first class, wine a bit on the pricey side but then it’s not the 70’s any more
We now come here ... a lot. Food is always fab and the staff are absolutely lovely - very kind, helpful and jolly. Can't recommend enough.
Went there for a sunday roast. Great food, and wine selection and they didn't play too much James Blunt.
The staff were extremely friendly and service exceptional. Lovely seating area in the conservatory and the roast and specials dessert was delicious. Not the cheapest roast around, but worth a visit for sure.
delicious food and lovely ambience. Would recommend
excellent evening in lovely surroundings the pub has great ambience lovely food great service from polite staff pity the owner wasn't in as that would have been absolutely beautiful !
Delicious food in convivial surroundings with good service.
Amazing on every level! I would definitely recommend to everyone.
This is a lovely little pub, tucked away. The dining area has a glass roof which can be opened, lovely on a summer evening. The food is wonderful, staff attentive helpful and polite. I will be returning for more.
Really good food in what is more of a gastro pub than a traditional pub. Ambiance is rather Chelsea young professionals.
First visit via a recommendation and it won't be the last... Went at lunch time was very quiet and we had a table in the conservatory which I would recommend. Great food beautifully served. Service impeccable
I return here frequently. The food never disappoints, the staff are helpful, know their food and make me feel like a welcome regular. I also feel incredibly safe in the new covid world. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the Fox to anyone. Do yourself a favour and visit.
Great food and friendly service. Would highly recommend
First time going here and we could not have had a better experience. Food, service - everything was fantastic and we will be going back very soon.
Best Sunday roast in London, fabulous hidden gem!!
Delicious food as always. Nice relaxed atmosphere. We will be back!
My husband and i had a good time. The place is just what we expected. Good food and vibe. Brilliant.
Heard that the food was great and it didn’t disappoint, would recommend to anyone.
Such a gorgeous find and such a delicious menu. Staff are also nothing but lovely, helpful and friendly.
