Not been to the Foxham Inn for a while. So thought we would try again. We had a lovely meal. Friendly staff. Food hot and fresh. Will be going g back.
What a fantastic little gem, something for everyone on the menu. Every meal i have had here has been fantastic and you will definitely not leave hungry. A warm and inviting atmosphere for all. An easy 5 star.
Gorgeous food and very nice that you can see what is going on in the kitchen. To feel full you would need all three courses would be my only criticism.
A lovely meal from start to finish. If we are ever in the area again we would definitely return.
Food was ok. Food and wine very overpriced lacked any kind of ambiance
Lovely food, great welcome, very well looked after.
This was our first visit and we were extremely impressed with the excellent food and hospitality. The portions were generous and there were suitable choices for vegetarians. We will definitely be returning in the near future.
We went to the Foxham Inn for a catch-up with old friends, we wasn’t expecting the food to be as amazing as it was and the service was quick and friendly. Would definitely go again, as soon as I can
A warm and friendly welcome, with good service. Food was well cooked with presentation being a little “old fashioned” meaning portion sizes too big, including too much gravy! But overall a good eating experience. Will go back.
We were really excited to try out The Foxham Inn after recently moving to the area. We were disappointed to see that none of the items on their online menu were on and we had been looking forward to trying some unusual cuts of meat, game or offel as we thought this was the basis of their food offering. The menu was quite typical pub grub but we were still hopeful of a well cooked meal after finding them in the good food guide. The food was average. The over cooked whitebait & over cooked fish main were a disappointment but the duck was cooked well & the homemade desserts & ice cream were the best part but nothing was stand out delicious. The service however I cannot fault.
Went for NYE and weren’t disappointed in any way. The welcome was warm and friendly. The dining room was well laid out to give plenty of space between tables without feeling empty. Great to be able to see the kitchen in full open view. The table staff were friendly and efficient. Good value for money, particularly given most place hike prices up for New Year, I still think this was really good value given the quality of the food. 4 of us went and every course ended with a clean plate. The location is a bit out the way BUT it is worth it and as long as someone is happy to drive you can easily spend a good few hours here with good food and great selection of drinks.
Met up with friends for lunch. Most enjoyable lunch, good choices on the menu and all arrived piping hot.
Excellent service. Would recommend.
basic food done well with good service, but the web-site pictures showed it to look a bit different than was anticipated
Wonderful meal enjoyed by my family, so welcoming and food was delicious 😋
Service is warm and welcoming and faultless ... but found the food quite disappointing after reading good reviews - all quite bland and nothing special - had starter and main ... decided not to go ahead with dessert despite them all sound delicious and quite inventive ... think of a lot of it is pre-prepared/frozen would be my guess ... . but I'm a fussy foodie from Brighton :)
We had heard about this venue and the drive was worth it. The owners were very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. We will be coming again.
Superb Sunday lunch with friendly. Excellent food, great service. Highly recommended.
We enjoyed a wonderful meal in a lovely viallge pub with great service, we will be back very soon!
The atmosphere and service were great as usual, along with both the selection and quality of items on the menu. A truly lovely meal again!
Great food,especially the omelette.
Friendly, good price.
A fabulous venue with very good food for a celebratory dinner. I would highly recommend.
Made to feel very welcomed, great menu choice, lovely food
Great front of house, thank you!
Great value and choice on menu and bar.
We had a range of nibbles and starters to share, which were accommodated easily, along with a main.
We also shared a dessert and cheeseboard. All were delicious and fresh with good presentation and made with innovation.
The menu has inventive options and pub favourites, all top notch standard in a friendly country pub in lovely surroundings. Prices are justifiably a bit higher than average. We'll definitely go again.
Excellent Sunday lunch, small classic menu but very well executed. Friendly staff
A warm friendly welcome upon arrival, top quality service and even better food that was cooked in front of you as the kitchen is open to the dining area which is a nice touch, highly recommend
We went for dinner and had a very nice dining experience. Delicious, outstanding food. Homemade bread, homemade tartarsauce. Everything was perfect and cooked with love. Very good winecard. A hidden treasure. We can't wait to come back.
The Foxham Inn is in a small village outside of Chippenham. You would not stumble across but I would recommend that you seek it out. The food is excellent and the staff are very friendly. The lady that served us was very nice and helpful (I think she was the owner). The food was top quality and there is a good choice of wines. We will definitely be visiting again soon.
Good food. Friendly welcome by the owner and excellent service. For desert try the poached or roast peach and ice cream. Delicious!
Very friendly and accommodating welcome from first arrival, the food was delicious with the tenderest beef I have had in a long while. The ham hock was a generous size, the fish and chips cooked to perfection and all meals were served with tasty, fresh vegetables. The dessert menu was tempting to all of us and included Horlicks ice cream which we were all keen to try. It did not disappoint!
It was a perfect rendezvous for meetings just off the M4. Its rural setting gave a welcome break from the driving. We all agreed we would be back - just need the excuse for another trip from Wales; Cornwall and London for our get together!
Second visit and will definitely be back soon. Excellent food, well cooked. Good menu choices
Out in the landscape: in the middle of nowhere: Amazing! Very, very good and creative meals with High quality. Wie will come back!
Excellent service and value. Great food and wine lovely hostess made us feel relaxed and welcome.
Food excellent. Freshly prepared and service very warm and friendly.
Great food at a very reasonable price, friendly staff good atmosphere what more could you want.
A wonderful Sunday Lunch. Staff were super-friendly and efficient. The puddings were yummy with the star of the show being the homemade Horlicks flavoured icecream
Just as good as always and friendly welcome from Sarah and Neil.
excellent as usual a no frills pub with excellent customer service
we all enjoyed our meal, the location, staff, food and service was excellent
Very walm welcome which made us feel at ease. Quick service. Excellent meal at a good value. Particually enjoyed the asparagus starter. Large potions which were well cooked and presented, Great value.
