We had delicious food at the Foxham, everyone was delighted with their choices and the burger was memorable. Freddie helped us to choose a fantastic bottle of wine. A big thumbs up to them for achieving so much in such a short space of time. We have recommended the Foxham to several people since.
Great value Curry night, onion bhajis were fantastic!
Full pub, good service, well done!
We had a light lunch at very short notice,on a Tuesday -I had artichoke soup with bread and butter, she had chicken Caesar salad , both competently prepared and pleasant. The chips were perfectly done.
Because I had dental issues that day, I needed soft bread rather than the delicious looking seedy crusty bread usually served . A perfect alternative was produced .
We happily finished all our grub then were greedy enough to have sticky toffees with ice cream. Excellent service with a happy smile.
We ate in the bar area, nice not to have tables too close together, and the upper-restaurant -area filled up over the next hour. Will go again .
Not much atmoshere but the food made up for it (sunday roast)
Avery good meal, well prsented and prepared. We will be back. Staff freindly and polite, nothing was too much trouble.
Lovely place, quiet village location, friendy staff and good food, little on the pricey side though for a burger and chips.... be nice to see a couple of cheaper options on the menu
Under new management with a simplified menu, 3 of us enjoyed a very good meal.
They catered well to both a gluten-free diet and a vegetarian.
It was good to see this nice local pub busy again, and we will be returning.
This pub is outstanding. Beautiful location, attentive and friendly service team, delicious food and drink. A real treat to have on our doorstep.
Great food and service. Friendly staff accommodated our party of 8 for Sunday lunch at short notice. Roast dinners and puds were well presented and delicious. Highly recommended
Delicious Sunday roast. Really helpful and friendly staff- very obliging putting our two booked tables of 4 together so we could sit in an 8. We all agreed it was the best Sunday roast we’d had in a long time.
Fabulous Sunday lunch again. Great produce . Tried the vegetarian dish this time even though I not vegetarian, absolutely lovely. Highly recommended.
The food was excellent. I am not a frequent eater of a Sunday roast dinner, so many places pile the food on, it’s never quite how you want it and it tends to be quantity over quality.
Not here!!! Quality was absolutely first. The food was excellent, well presented and tasted great…..so much so that I wanted more.
I had to suffice with a quite brilliant Stick Toffee Pudding, I wanted more of that too.
Looking forward to my next visit. Excellent wine and coffee too.
Food was delicious and being able to see in kitchen was added bonus. The only downfall was the pricing, making it somewhere we can only afford to go for very special occasions. The staff, although young, were marvellous, very pleasant and attentive, well done to them all, you are a credit to your generation. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely place for a family lunch. We all enjoyed the food.
It is rare I find to try somewhere new and leave feeling that I can't wait to return. But the Foxham was that good when we ate there yesterday evening. The quality and attention to detail of the chef's work sings out with every mouthful and the front of house staff are efficient, friendly and just..nice. And more surprising, there was almost no wait between ordering and our food arriving which is the bane of so many other places. Well done to Freddie and Annaleaz and the whole team for creating a great experience and I am sure a continued success.
Food was very tasty, and well presented. Excellent and pleasant service. Drinks a bit pricey.
Good food. Pleasant and efficient service. Restaurant tastefully decorated.
Food was excellent, staff were brilliant, even taking the time to talk to my 5 year old and listen to him and to his delight giving him a high 5 on the way out.
Wait times were minimal, food was well above the quality expected for the competitive Sunday roast prices. Will definitely be back.
Food was excellent as always with a nice Ambience in the Dining Room.
Food was really good- best Sunday lunch locally and very friendly service.
We dined early as we were tired from travelling. the service and food were exemplary. A charming place. Recommend.
A delightful country pub, in an idilic village. A place I will certainly return to.
Best Sunday roast in a very long time!
I will definitely be returning
Looked after very well, especially considering there were about 50 wedding guests!
Lovely welcoming pub with staff very friendly and great service, the food was delicious
Not a good experience
Time to update the menu
Looked uncared for in the bar. Seats pushed everywhere.
First time at The Foxham after a friend’s recommendation . I must say we were not disappointed . The service was excellent and food amazing. Would definitely come again and recommend to my friends and colleagues at work. 😊😊😊
A very enjoyable evening with prompt friendly service along with our food cooked to perfection and as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary it completed a perfect day and we will be recommending The Foxham to our friends in the future.
Sunday Roast was good, although the bowl with veg came with a cheese sauce on it. When I advised that I didn't like cheese, the response was, oh sorry.
There was no offer to try and get me some veg without cheese.
Nice location and comfortable surroundings. Eton Mess was underwhelming; chocolate brownie was superb. Prawn starter was Very nice but would have like bread separate to soak up the lovely juice.
Vegetables were tasty but scanty; roasts were delicious. Coffee was good.
Hope the new owners settle in and develop the business. It is a good half way point for me to meet my friends from Bristol.
Would of had 5 stars but the Main Course fish of the day, although very tasty wasn't enough, more like a large starter than a Main Course - more spuds and carrots please 😉
A fab place - friendly staff who give you a warm welcome- excellent food - what more can you ask for
We were looking forward to an exciting gastronomic experience as per previous visits to The Foxham Inn and then discovered upon arrival that it had recently changed hands.
The menu reflected this straight away: while a limited number of main course choices was welcome (6), we were immediately informed (7.30pm) that the Fish & Chips and Chunky Chips were sold out. Obviously these were from a packet (shame) and I refrained from suggesting they peel some potatoes!
Having driven 11 miles to get to Foxham, our party of four decided to stay and give it a chance anyway (we were hungry)
We opted for the Antipasti Sharing Platter to start. At £14, we expected more than a few slices of supermarket salami/prosciutto/chorizo, bread and tiny pots of olives and oil/balsamic (the oil was so minimal that we had to ask immediately for it to be filled).
For mains, I opted for Green Veg Risotto, my partner the Lamb Rump, and parents the Chicken Milanese (in place of Fish & Chips). While the lamb was tender and went down well, the risotto was overladen with cream and minimal veg and the chicken awash with oil (so much so my parents were up most of the night).
I’m very sorry to write a negative review - not my bag - but I’m afraid this experience wasn’t value for money and we won’t be returning.
We stopped to eat here on our way between 2 holiday houses, having had a look at the Good Food Guide. It was a busy Friday lunchtime, and had a nice feel to the place. Dog friendly too, which is a bonus. The cooked dishes were really tasty (homemade Scotch egg, burger) as was the sandwich. Salads were ok. Service was good and friendly.
Perfect Sunday lunch with old friends. Loved it
Risotto not as described on the menu. Tiny burger, dry and salty. Very poor value for the money.
Friendly village pub - excellent food and efficient service. Delicious wines too.
Such a shame but on the whole the experience was disappointing. I felt Analise was not as welcoming as she could have been. One of our party was a coeliac which meant that she could only eat GF and this was denoted when the booking was made online. This should have been picked up by Analise when taking the meal order and not for the customer to point it out. The customer then had to ask which food was GF as opposed to Analise not being forthcoming with the options. Felt the food was a little overpriced considering it's a pub and not a restaurant. When I asked for the bill it arrived with just the total amount payable so had to ask for it to be itemised. I have decided to recommend The Foxham Inn to friends to make their own judgement but as for our custom we will probably not return. On a positive, the position of the pub is beautiful as we sat outside on a glorious sunny day.
We thought that the vegetarian offering (risotto)was poor.
It was fairly tasteless and a small plate. It would have benefited from some parmesan cheese and maybe some extra green veg eg spinach or haricot beans.
Under new ownership. Excellent food and friendly service.
