We have been visiting the Foxham Inn for many years and always have a fine welcome and excellent quality food that is a little more imaginative than many restaurants in our area. Warmly recommend it.
Great British Quality Food, cooked with fresh ingredients.
And a Lovely hostess.
Even if this pub is slightly off the beaten track, it is worth the trip.
friendly service and were served quickly which was perfect as they knew we were pressed for time.
Very nice lunch
An excellent Sunday lunch venue with plenty of menu options. As a consequence of hosting a large party, some of the Sunday roast menu otpions had run out but there were still plenty of other options and choices. Would definitely be happy to go again. Thank you.
Very good food and service. The only slight criticism would be that the white wine was not chilled. Otherwise lovely lunch.
Excellent evening - good food, well-presented, fantastic and friendly service
Very enjoyable meal with varied menu and good ingredients. Attentive and friendly staff. Very pleasant setting. Apart from one meal being on the massive side meaning a sad waste of lovely food, we thought it was super place to dine.
I can’t see the oint of writing a review. The Foxham Inn is fabulous and always has been. If people don’t know by now they never will!
Another lovely meal, great staff and a relaxed venue. Nothing is to much.
A very friendly family feel with excellent food. I would highly recommend to anyone.
Don’t be put off by the external appearance as it looks a little like someone’s house! Once indoors a lovely cosy bar with a log fire and real ales meets you followed by and open kitchen and a lovely timber framed dining room
Fantastic Rare roast beef dinner, pigeon and mushroom pie and roast belly pork and puddings were all to die for!!
Friendly and welcoming service
We will be back 👍
Really enjoyed eating an interesting meal made with top quality ingredients. Service was excellent.
Excellent service and great food will be back soon
Very good food and pleasant service. The location is also very nice and charming
The Foxham Inn is one-off Wiltshire's hidden little treasures. The food is of a top quality and always fresh and well served. The owners Neil and Sarah are fantastic hosts and always greet you with a smile.
The Foxham is that good I had my wedding reception there!! I know what your thinking - in a pub why??? - well all I say is once you have tasted the food you will want to visit time and time again. I know I will and have done on many occasion.
Give it a try is my suggestion and you wil not forget your experience.
We ate here a year ago and had been waiting for the right opportunity to go back. The inn did not disappoint, especially as this time we were in the old part of the pub. Good food and friendly efficient service. We will be going back.
Had Sunday lunch for 5 people. Generous portions, great service. We stayed talking for ages and there was no pressure to pay up and leave.
My wife and I arrived early and were greeted warmly and remembered from our 1st visit 6 months previous!
Nice atmosphere, not too warm or cold and the service was quick and friendly .
The food was outstanding and the emphais on quality rather than quantity, A 3 course dining experience which was full of the sounds of satisfaction and pleasure, Normally we would not have 3 courses but the starter and main were so good we had to have a dessert just to complete the experience. Cost was great value and we tipped 15% voluntarily without any qualms.
Fabulous dinner date and one which we will repeat soon.
Our hosts looked after us v well as always - v calm and understated. In our booking notes we said that it was for a birthday celeb, and they had sprinkled glitter on our table, which was a lovely touch. Food as always fabulous. Special mentions - the rabbit and the apple struddle.
I am running out of things to say in praise of the fabulous dining at Foxham Inn. What a treat to enjoy another Sunday lunch there this weekend. I am also needing to remember to book early as their great name is getting known. Book with confidence. Enjoy!
I thought the food was first class, appealing to the eye, and very tasty. The lady who served us was friendly and made sure we were happy with everything. Will come again.
Wonderful flavours, beautifully presented in a friendly comfortable atmosphere. Ne ear dissapointed when we are able to get booked in here, daytime or evening. Thank you to all the staff who work so hard to make every visit a special occasion.
We booked a table for 7.30 and arrived on time but had to wait another 60 mins for our meal, the waiter brought butter, olive oil salt&pepper but no bread was offered until we asked for some, we were starving.when we booked we were asked a time slot but it seemed every one else had the same time.So we had the long wait.we were the last to leave so towards the end there was no ambiance. We won,t be rushing back
I go to the Foxham Inn regularly. It has a lovely atmosphere and Sarah is real value for money!
The food is always superb and beautifully presented and the imaginative menu is an enormous bonus. We're always extremely well looked after and very importantly never have to wait long for our food to appear. I hope the present owners stay there forever and when the time comes I know it will not be a problem getting my wheelchair through the door!!!!
A friendly atmosphere and outstanding food. I was dining alone and it was so nice not to be pushed into a dark corner, which is usually what happens to lone diners. Lovely friendly landlady and staff, and the food is quite simply stunning. I would recommend anyone to go there and don't be worried about eating on your own!
Very impressed with the quality of the local produce & the imagination used to create an excellent menu. All 3 courses were terrific and the service matched it.
Loved every mouthful
We had the absolute pleasure of having a roast at the Foxham Inn a couple of weekends ago. It was the best roast beef we've ever had. Beautifully cooked meat with amazing roast potatoes and veg followed by a delicious chocolate pudding. Just marvellous...our only complaint was the strong frying smell coming from the open kitchen...
6 of us turned up for a booking for 5, after a successful morning 's testing (of an old racing car). An extra person was no problem. Two were in a hurry, and two were eating later, so most had two starters. Again that was not a problem.
Food was clearly prepared to order, and from an interesting menu - my deep fried vegetables followed by snails very good indeed. Pleasant table by a window in an open area adjoining the bar, suited our relaxed mood well.
Seemingly remote, but easy to find from M4 with sat-nav - we will look for opportunities to detour to the Foxham Inn on other occasions.
I am vegan and they always make a fantastic effort in creating a vegan meal for me, starter, main and dessert. I have been 5 times now and they have always cooked me a different dish and its been delicious.
The menu is interesting and changes over time, everything we ordered was delicious, the roast beef meltingly good, and the staff are friendly. We have been several times and certainly recommend the Foxham Inn.
Lovely setting but the inn was dark and slightly forbidding and smelt of bleach. The service was unsmiling and unwelcoming, cursory at best. The food was little better than standard pub food.
Very very friendly and efficient staff, could not do enough for you. Food was really fantastic, would definitely recommend to my work colleagues and friends.
Fresh, local, quality ingredients which together with friendly, attentive service and a laid back atmosphere made for a perfect meal.
The meals at The Foxham are always delicious and the menu usually includes something a bit different.
I have had it in mind to visit the Foxham Inn since seeing a young chef from there on last year's 'Masterchef: The Professionals'. I don't know whether he's still there, if he isn't, it doesn't matter because the food's lovely anyway. For my starter I had, for the first time, duck hearts on a slice of toasted brioche. This was a bit of an adventure for me. When it comes to offal, I'm a bit of a wuss but I went for it and wasn't disappointed. I then had saddle of rabbit with a rabbit and kidney pie, carrots and mashed potato. I think that the sign of a good cook is when they can make the ordinary special and the mashed potato was the best I've ever tasted. The little pastry lid on the pie was so crisp and tasty and the rest of the dish was just great, the rabbit moist and flavoursome. But now we come to the pudding. There are lots of good things on the menu but I am a pudding guy. Specifically, I am a pudding and custard guy so I was momentarily disappointed when I saw that the sticky toffee pudding came with ice cream. However, when I first arrived I had noticed, above the bar that one of the ice creams on offer was Horlicks, a childhood treat, and this is the accompaniment to the sticky toffee and it is a marriage made in heaven.
I should mention that my wife really enjoyed her meal as well!
The landlady was really warm and friendly, the beer, I had Butcombe, was well kept and the bar was very nice.
We will most definitely be going back.
We went for sunday lunch,we sat near the open kitchen which I liked as you can see how clean the kitchen is . The food was delicious they have the best beer battered halloumi and a wonderful sticky toffee pudding would happily go there again.
