I went there lasy night for my husband's birthday and it was absolutely amazing!
Quality lunch, lovely service, and a great location
Absolutely amazing restaurant. Fantastic, authentic food, wonderful service ….. we had a truly fabulous time, thank you.
First visit to the French Qiarter. Great ambience, knowledgeable staff. Excellent wine selection and amazing food. Loved the snails in garlic butter and goats cheese with walnuts. Will definitely be going back until we have exhausted everything on the menu!
Truly delicious food with excellent service and a great atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!
Great food, relaxed atmosphere and still favourite place to eat!!
Food & wine was amazing as always!
Very friendly staff.
Food was nice, although almost everything we had was covered in the same oily basil dressing so the flavour was lacking. Waitress was a bit pushy but seemed nice. Value was mid range, almost too much for a regular experience but not enough for a special occasion. Probably won’t return.
Excellent food and service extensive wine list staff very knowledgeable
I will return
Love this restaurent. Noise from music was a problem for my friend who has hearing difficulties but staff member turned the nearest speaker off so this helped.
A fantastic restaurant with amazing food and knowledgeable, friendly staff who are happy to discuss the menu and drinks options with you.
Good food ,good variety of dishes . Friendly welcoming staff . Stylish interior .
Food and service is exceptional, we were served by a young lady who was very knowledgeable ahut items on the menu and also the wines.Very authentic French surroundings and very clean . My Huusband and I had a lovely Lunch and in todays restrictions felt very safe, we will certainly return in the near future.
Wonderful meal, great ambience. We went for a date night.
Interesting and different-feeling menu made for an enjoyable evening.
The food is great, the ambience is delightful, the service is fast and it all makes for the perfect night out. Love it!
Amazing - choice of food to share lovely and our waitress was excellent and knowledgable
Delicious food and good wine. Excellent service by a friendly and efficient staff.
Loved our meal. Fantastic service, explained everything. Lovely food & nice wine selection. Can’t wait to return
My firm favourite for relaxed and friendly dining, with fabulous food and very friendly service. Been many times before and will be back many more!
Terrible attitude and approach by staff. Didn’t stay to eat after being patronised and dictated to
Great venue, staff polite courteous and very helpful with descriptions of menu choices. Food was cooked to perfection and wine selection very complimentary to whichever dish you choose. We'll worth a visit.
A very nice meal. I was initially put off by the tapas concept, not a favourite of mine, but the food was beautiful and I want to return to try the other dishes on the menu. We particularly enjoyed the pork medallions and the prawns in garlic. The desserts were divine. We received great service. Highly recommended.
Excellent restaurant, beautiful food helpful impeccable service, perfect wine and drinks
This was the third time we have visited The French Quarter, absolutely outstanding as usual!
Lovely meal. Staff all very knowledgeable and attentive. Will be back
Both the food and service were outstanding. Would recommend.
Superb in every way!
Fab little find in Newcastle away from the hustle and bustle of town. Food and service outstanding, couldn't fault anything. A lovely way to celebrate our daughter's graduation. Thank you.
Great staff and good food. Nice wine options. Expensive but just about worth it!
Great food - tried some new things. All delicious. Friendly and efficient service.
We had a lovely evening celebrating my birthday and the staff made me feel very special. Beautiful food and fantastic service from all staff!!
A great lunchtime special menu, well described by the helpful waiter. The draught beer was really good and the wine was reasonably priced. A very pleasant lunchtime experience.
Fabulous meal ! Very informed waiting on staff. Will go back.
The staff were welcoming and went through the menu with us which was very helpful. The food was extremely tasty. A most enjoyable experience !
Lovely food in charming restaurant. Attentive and knowledgeable staff.
We came across this restaurant by chance during lockdown, so decided to try it when we could. We were not in the least disappointed. The food and service were excellent.
We were told the restaurant was like 'French Tapas'. The portions are large.
My wife had the moules marinieres, and they came in a large pan with a lovely creamy, garlicky sauce. She thoroughly enjoyed them. I had the escargot, and they came smothered in garlic and parsley. They were delicious!
Then we both had the confit de canard, with haricot verts. They were superb. Beautifully cooked and very well presented.
We also had a bottle of Malbec, from SW France, which was lovely.
Our waiter, Michael, was very professional, but also very friendly. We told him of camping all over France in 'camping municipals' and 'camping a la ferme' and he told us about growing up in New Zealand, and then meeting a 'Geordie' girl while working on a cruse ship.
We have eaten in many restaurants in France, and this is up there with the best.
We had an excellent dining experience.
Fantastic authentic French cuisine. Sharing plates all lovely. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable on the whole menu and wine.
Food and wine was really good especially the ratatouille. The lentil, butternut squash salad was a disappointment and pretty bland as was the floating meringue dessert. The service was excellent and we would come back again.
