Following the opening of The Frog E1 in 2016, chef Adam Handling has brought his high-octane flavours to Covent Garden for this all-day flagship

The 50-cover, two-floor dining room can seat up to 8 diners at the pass, while in the basement lies a speakeasy cocktail bar with its own street entrance. This bar also has its own kitchen and private dining room.

Absolutely fabulous meal; best I’ve had in a while. Every course was phenomenal; couldn’t fault it. I didn’t particularly like sitting at the bar as it was very bright and the heat lamps for the food got quite warm after a while but aside from that - spectacular!

Very nice atmosphere, friendly staff but a bit unintentive at first. Very good food, good wine. We sat at the chefs table = fun to see the chefs working.

So good! Amazing food, great staff.

Only gripe is minute, they could do with some window frosting as the lights from the store across the street are very glarey.

Monday was my second time at this restaurant and I was just as impressed as I was after my first visit here. The food is amazing; the service is brilliant yet not too intrusive; being able to watch the amazing chefs at work just adds to the experience. I would strongly recommend this restaurant to family and friends. I will most certainly be returning again in the near future.

I had a friend in from out of town who likes good food and fine wine. Frog was perfect. We ended up trading bites of everything we ordered because it was all so good. The flavours were creative without being strange. The duck was perfectly cooked and the tender. The cod and scallops melted in the mouth. Don't miss the frog popcorn. The wine list was so extensive it took longer to choose than the food.

By far the best meal we’ve had in ages. The attention to detail was second to none. The 5 course taster menu was excellent value. All the courses were superb but the goats cheese and beetroot desert was inspiring.

Went for our wedding anniversary and both chose the tasting menu. One of the best meals we have ever had with brilliant service. The atmosphere was wonderfully relaxed for such a high quality place. Already recommended it to everyone we have spoken to about it and will continue to tell everyone who will listen!

The best restaurant I have been to in London for a long time. It just reinforces that Michelin Stars are no longer a reliable proxy for great restaurants. The service and food was exceptional on every level.

The only thing better than the level of service was the food. Excellent suggestions from our server, even to the point of asking about how much time we had before he would make recommendations.

It’s really hard to pick a favourite but the frog popcorn or the bread and chicken butter might just edge out the tuna and beef tartar.

The food was amazing. Beautiful to look at, innovative and great flavours. I have only marked it down to 4 stars because of the service. It was efficient to the point of being intrusive. I felt more than once that I needed to hold onto my utensil to stop my plate being whisked away. I also consider that removing a plate before everyone at that table has finished the course is rude. A shame because everything else about it was great. But at the prices it all needs to perfect

Everything was perfect and we enjoyed the whole night we sat in the restaurant. The food was amazing and service was on point. The sommelier recommended a very nice and smooth red wine that compliments the Adam tasting menu. The only thing is I am looking forward to shake Adam Handlings hands just to tell him everything was amazing. They said he will come later but he didn’t. Anyway, still one of the best night Ive ever had. Thanks.

We had the five course tasting menu , presentation and service were outstanding. This is fine dining at an exemplary level, each course brought something new and the flavors were astonishing and you just want to savior each bite as the food reveals itself, you don't want the experience to end.

The food was delicious and perfectly prepared although not very generous for the prices being charged. The main problem however is that this place takes itself far too seriously. The dishes are carried to your table as if they are holy relics and our conversation was constantly interrupted by the staff who appear to want to explain everything all of the time.

Delicious pre-theatre birthday meal at a Frog. The food was exceptionally creative, with wonderful flavours and textures. We arrived at 5:30 and didn’t have long as we had theatre tickets in Victoria for 7:30. Although we looked at the pre-theatre menu, we ordered a la carte in the end, and had enough time for three courses without really rushing. That included an unexpected pre-dessert course and a surprise edible birthday candle!
Great wine suggestion by the sommelier. Service was impeccable. It wasn’t cheap, but it was good value for a great experience. No complaints whatsoever, I would highly recommend.

We went to Frog on Monday 29/10 for my husband's birthday. The place is simple and nicely arranged with the main focus being the kitchen which is entirely open so you can watch all the plate preparation and makes it already so interesting. Staff is friendly, polite and very helpful. Somehow it seemed that our order was overlooked and as soon as we indicated that we had been waiting a while and all other tables seemed to get their food whilst we were still waiting, they immediately resolved the situation with much apologies and we got rolling with our fabulous 5 course dinner. Every dish was a beautiful creation and an amazing discovery of flavours and textures. Everything was really delicious and the pace of service was perfect not too slow not too quick. There is so much going on in the kitchen and in your plate, the whole evening was a great experience. As a really lovely touch we got a discreet candle on the dessert, I had indicated the occasion on the booking but didn't remind them when we came in, so the attention was very welcome. We will definitely come back and recommend the place. Thank you to all the floor and kitchen staff for such a beautiful evening.

Very, very good. Fabulously executed food and a nice, knowledgeable and friendly staff who were not pretentious. Highlight was the posh baked potato. Lowlight was the duck (slightly too tough).

Wow! I had read good reviews, but was blown away by the food here

There is a small cocktail bar downstairs with inventive cocktails and lots of off menu options too (the staff will ask what sort of thing you like and will then bring you something to fit the bill)

We went for the five course tasting menu and would highly recommend it. The food was outstanding! I have been to a few of these types of menus and I find there is always a dish that is flawed or is trying too hard to be inventive (sacrificing being something you want to eat!)... not so here! All the dishes were fantastic and I cannot level a criticism.

The staff were attentive and friendly (a chef came out from the kitchen to walk you through each dish), without being intrusive.

I would highly recommend

It was our wedding anniversary so we booked early at 5.30pm for a show just round the corner at 7.30pm. We would probably have been OK if they actually seated us at 5.30 but they did not. We arrived 5 minutes early so they said they could not seat us in the restaurant as it was not open yet, so took us downstairs to their cocktail bar where we could not get service. Fetched us to the table 15 minutes later and everything just went really slowly from then on to the point that we were just walking out when desert arrived.
All that aside, we both had the Tasting Menu and the food was excellent, staff were also very friendly and attentive.

Had a nice table overlooking the kitchen in this small, but vibrant restaurant. I would stay away from the tables nearer the door in the colder months for sure. Like most places where you sit is important. The a la carte menu seemed limiting so we opted for the 5-course taster. The 'snacks' were to die for and I am still thinking about them. My wife and I have been to lots of top places and this is right up there. 5-star food and service but in a smart/casual setting. The food was on par with anything I have had before. This place is fantastic and we will definitely be back. Adam Handling should be very proud of what he has created - his team are also brilliant.

Simply superb. Top quality food artistry. Faultless service. I love that the cooks bring your dishes and explain them to you with such pride.
The best meal I have eaten in the UK ever and the only place to consider for a special eating experience in Covent Garden.

The dining area is immediately inside the restaurant with an open kitchen and a very large plate glass window-noise levels are significant. The good news is the staff and the food are spectacular. The five course tasting menu was brilliant with the 'snacks' being a mini highlight of the food to come. I had the wine flight that was interesting, but did have some flat spots-I, personally would not have paired the sake with the pork dish-it wasn't terrible but just not to my taste. Generally , just book and go, I am very positive about the place. I will certainly be going back soon.

Stunning food. Wonderful service without being in any way stuffy or formal.
Staff friendly and clearly enthusiastic about the food and drink.
Every dish was immaculately prepared and full of exciting combinations of flavour.
Slight hiccup with order in cocktail bar before meal where we seemed to suffer from invisible over 60 syndrome watching people who arrived after us getting their orders till we reminded them of our presence and all was well. Cocktails well worth the wait!

Although I loved the food I was disappointed with the overall experience. This was because it was too noisy, the tables were too close together and there were a lot of waiting staff rushing around. This made it feel very noisy and packed; not helped by the small space and frantic activity visible in the kitchen.

The food was very good. We had the five course tasting menu and each dish was small with great flavours. I wasn’t keen on the dish with cauliflower but all the others were fantastic. There was an extensive wine list and the waiting staff were attentive. If there were less tables and a more relaxed ambience this would be an unbeatable restaurant.

Food stellar, staff friendly and helpful. They bent over backwards to accommodate my food intolerance issues. The chef came to discuss the food before he cooked it and checked after that it was all ok. Oh, and the wine chosen from a long list by the sommelier was unknown to me but amazing.

Just simply wonderful food, that makes it difficult to find words to fully describe. An attention to detail in all aspects, reflected even in the choice of plates and cutlery. With a welcoming, friendly, efficient and caring service to add to the experience. Just a great dinner.

Nice small dining room with an open kitchen which is quite fun to watch different sishes being prepared. Service was attentive without being too formal. The food was exceptionally good with lots of flavour and texture combinations and interesting presentation.

The menu can be a little bit difficult to navigate as the descriptions are minimalist i.e. Duck, mushroom, foie gras or rasperry, beetroot, goats cheese.

Overall a fabulous meal and the set lunch options are very good value.

the people are all really friendly and they introduce the dishes well.

Fantastic food, I loved it. Some surprising flavour combinations that really worked.
I don't usually eat puddings, but I had to know what chocolate, garden pea & coconut was all about. It was all about delicious!
Charming Maitre D' and well informed/informative waiting staff.
It is pretty pricey, so I won't exactly be a regular, but I will certainly be back.
