Frog by Adam Handling
The 50-cover, two-floor dining room can seat up to 8 diners at the pass, while in the basement lies a speakeasy cocktail bar with its own street entrance. This bar also has its own kitchen and private dining room.
Inventive dishes that are a taste sensation. 'Mother' and the duck with burnt cream were a revelation. Service was impeccable and great to have each dish explained by the chef's. Very noisy so hard to have a conversation with your guests. Having said that the food alone makes it worth a visit one of best meals I've had in the City
A wonderful meal in a very welcoming environment.
I do love Frog, and have been a fair few times. I really can't fault it other than it was made almost impossible to pay. I do find it frustrating when restaurants don't just give you the bill!
If you go, do make sure you crack into the snacks, they are epic. I also really like the view of the restaurant kitchen!
A modern, reassuringly expensive restaurant in Covent Garden. Slightly warehouse-like interior. Pretty full on a Monday evening. Service was almost over-attentive but of high order, with lots of 'what-you-are-about-to-eat' sermons. The three courses were very small but the ingredients, taste, texture and presentation were top class. Strange wine list. Not a romantic setting but more for power dining.
Very good. But the flavor of those dessert are too strong for finish a meal.
Arrived on time for our reservation. It took 45 minutes for the menu to arrive at the table. The food was beautifully presented. Service was friendly. The noise was difficult to hear over. Harsh atmosphere. Filthy toilets.
awesome food awesome atmosphere
Food was good but not exceptional - service was very rushed maximum time between courses was 4 minutes minimum was 1.30! Not the relaxing culinary experience we have been looking forward to for weeks !
I've never been a fan of tasting menu restaurants but Frog has changed my mind.
The food and service was excellent; and very interesting wine list too.
Pity about the silly name, which would have put me off if the restaurant hadn't been recommended to me by a friend.
We had a wonderful evening, the service was fantastic, we felt so relaxed and spoiled by them all. Thank you!
Tried the Adam’s Menu. Amazing food!Full of creativity! Fresh with layers of various flavour. Surprisingly dynamite with each bite. Excellent all! Highly recommend!
Fantastic first time experience of frog. Attention to detail for service and food explanation for each course was outstanding. Only seeing Adam himself could have made it any better. Fabulous evening Thankyou !
I went here with high expectations and was disappointed. The portions are quite small and you left, even after three courses, thinking about getting something else to eat. The prices were quite high even for the West End.
Food was fantastic, presentation of the food was superb. I will be visiting one of Adam Handlings restaurant again very soon.
We had the 5 course taster menu with wine flight. It was excellent. The wine was interesting. Some were new to us and very good. Others less so but not a problem. It was certainly frenetic but a pleasant experience overall
So so so good! One of the best meals I’ve eaten in a long time. Every mouthful was a flavour sensation from start to finish and service was excellent!
Incredible food, amazing hospitality which makes the food even better and perfect timing between every next dish
Great experience, beautiful restaurant and nice food. The open kitchen and quality of the service make the full experience so much enjoyable, will come back or try other places of the company.
Fabulous food!! Friendly staff will definitely be back
Food is absolutely TOP! Certainly one of the best restaurants we’ve ever been.
We went for the tasting menu. Hugely impressed and have never tasted such a range exquisite dishes . Each one was brought personally to the table by the chef who had prepared them, quite a learning experience and, as we were sitting close to the open kitchen, we could see on each occasion the next one being prepared. The lightly barbecued lobster with wagyu dripping is to die for and definitely the stand-out dish
Superb! Everything about the place was outstanding, the food, the service everything. the only issue, if there is one is the wine price. It was a very expensive wine list.
Nice ambience, Food was Perfect, Service very fast and Good, Value nice.
Food fantastic & staff really professional. Only downside - odours particularly downstairs which is not good & may well be a general environment problem. Needs sorting out.
Otherwise all very wonderful.
Everyone in the restaurant was so friendly and nice. Not only did they take care of everything including our coats when we just got there, but also they cared about our feedback on every course. In addition, the waiter was so detail focused that they took away empty plate timely and cleaned our table when there were some crumbs on it. Overall, we really liked it eating there.
Went for the 7-course and every single course was amazing.
Attention to details in every respect. Worth visiting if you love cuisines with contemporary and cross cultural nuances.
Fine dining, lovely environment and cuisines.
Delicate food, friendly staff.
Really enjoyed the time there.
Excellent - quite possibly the best meal we’ve had in London alongside the best service we’ve experienced. Very attentive, knowable and thoughtful .
Wonderful food, fantastic and friendly/helpful staff. Would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.
Overall did what it does well - on an 8 course menu around 6 were truly very good - like little taste bombs. Almost all the serving staff seem warm keen and knowledgeable, though the first impression of the lady who served us the water was more like 1980s Aeroflot. It got better from there, and every other staff member couldn’t have tried harder. The simply furnished space works and the chairs were comfortable.
For the food it does it’s own thing - borrowing Thai, Nordic and Italian influences which as a menu really come together - like the Mother dish, the agnolotti or the tomato. The fig desert was a wonderfully balanced flavour combination.
A few area where it could be better still are: (1), music - probably needed to lift a very simply furnished space (which I liked) early on, but as the evening progresses it’s too loud to be able to hear the wait staff describe each dish - which is a pity. (2) Pacing - excellent for courses 1-5 but then fell apart for main and first sweet course with long unexplained gaps before recovering ;(3) consistency - one dish had black truffle listed as one of the three ingredients but was noticeable absent. This was sorted out immediately with panache when we pointed it out, but on this - and one other course that arrived and was then removed from the table, it was a bit odd!
Sort out the noise level, pacing and the one weak dish and this could be a michellin stared experience- right now at a price that doesn’t reflect this.
Just all round brilliant. Personal touches for my friend’s birthday, perfect amount of service and explanation of dishes and the food was imaginative and delicious.
The quality and presentation of the taster menus, including vegetarian option, was top class. Some of the dishes were a little too rich for our particular palates, but they were outstanding all the same.
Very special recipe. Every detail was perfect. I love the dessert and the cocktail very much.
Excellent services and food. We ordered the Adam’s tasting menu with wine pairing. Good that they have different choices of wine pairing including non-alcoholic drinks which suited the different tastes of my party. Additionally, to my surprise, I had been here a month ago and the waitresses could still recognise me.
We had a fantastic lunch and could not fault any aspect. The service was excellent and the food out of this world. We had the 5 course tasting menu with the addtional lobster course. Every course worked in harmony with the next and while very full by the end of it we were all disappopinted at reaching the last course as we wanted another! The food was beautifully presented and brought to the table by the chef who had prepared it.
I took my parents to celebrate both their brithdays which was brilliantly acknowledged by the restaurant. We have been having this birthday lunch annually for the past five years at different restaurants and we all agreed that this was by far the best one and going to be hard to beat! Thank you to all the staff, front of house and in the kitchen.
We had an amazing night at Frog by Adam! IT was the highlight of our trip to London and we literally came back to London FOR Adam. We had a great meal at The Frog two years ago, it was wonderful and could not find anything like them so we decided to visit London again for the great food by Adam. We were lucky to be sat by the bar, everyone were super nice and attentive. LOVE all the chefs' creations, the presentation, smell, taste and creativity is ON POINT.
Thank you very much again everyone for the wonderful night! We can't wait to come back and this time it will be sooner. I'm so jealous of the locals!
A special occasion to celebrate our daughter’s Masters graduation - and it certainly was ! The tasting menu was superb from the first mouthful to the last - and we had much debate about which course we each enjoyed most. Definitely a fantastic experience with great service while still maintaining a relaxed atmosphere. Have recommended to a friend already!
An incredible meal - wonderfully judged in terms of variety and volume. This was truly exceptional food: creative and subtle, totally delicious. Not cheap, but worth it for a special occasion. I would not hesitate to recommend - this is a chef working at the very top of his game. The sommelier was fantastic too.
