Frog by Adam Handling
The 50-cover, two-floor dining room can seat up to 8 diners at the pass, while in the basement lies a speakeasy cocktail bar with its own street entrance. This bar also has its own kitchen and private dining room.
Absolutely perfect time at Frog.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming and knowledgable and eager to please. Chefs were waiting on as well as cooking the dish and bringing you the food that they’ve just made themselves in front of you, a fantastic touch.
The wine waiter was also fantastic pouring a little drop of wine for each course.
And the food and menu out of this world, a clean plate every course!
Really good evening meal with a friend, very fine food with some good options like the lobster. Superb presentation, extra star if the desserts were as good as the mains / starters
Had the 8 course tasting menu and paired wines. Have been lucky enough to eat in several Michelin starred restaurants and the food was some of the best we’ve had. The sommelier was excellent and very knowledgable. Very impressed that Adam Handling was in the kitchen actively preparing food. Overall, fabulous!

Bravo Adam Handling! Wow - what a fantastic evening! I am a big fan of tasting menus and I think has to be my favourite ever so far. The flavours in each dish were mind-blowing, I think my favourite was the Mushroom agnolotti & black garlic because I've never had anything quite like it, but all the dishes were superb. The experience from start to finish was extremely memorable and I look forward to coming back again soon! Thanks to the wonderful staff and chefs for a wonderful evening, especially Melissa our waitress and our sommelier Nadia.
We had a truly superb early evening dinner - having the tasting menu each element of which was memorable. The staff were amazing with a rarely seen level of knowledge and enthusiasm across the board. It is a relatively minimalist setting however that doesn't matter as the food and staff do all the talking superbly. It is unpretentious and also incredible value for the quality.

Awesome tasting menu developed with many different tastes and textures to experience created a special evening for my husband and I at Frog. Ambience, decor, staff and food were all 1st class.
Turned up for the last service on a Sunday expecting the staff to want us in and out as quickly as possible... nothing could have been further from the truth as each and every member of staff, from front of house to chefs delivering food to the table (and everyone in between) were brilliant!
The food was itself very good - the 5 course taster - and was matched perfectly with a great wine selection.
Couldn’t recommend more highly, and my only real question is why they don’t have a Michelin start already?!

The experience as a whole was nothing short of perfect. Each dish was blew me away, my person favourites being the razor clam snack and mother. The staff and chefs were a joy to meet, after chatting with them you could understand the passion they all shared for food. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant and can not wait to see how the menu changes with coming seasons.

Loved sitting at the bar/counter and watching the professionals at work. Such a well co-ordinated process, working at full capacity & everyone from pot wash guy to head chef seems to know exactly what, where when. No hiccups or glitches, just a streamlined process. I don’t quite know how they do it, and so very well.
Food is amazing - tried things we wouldn’t normally go for (no safe favourites here), and didn’t regret it for a second.
Chicken butter alone is heaven on earth!

The food and service were perfect. The staff were attentive but not pushy and the food was exquisite and just the right number of courses to the tasting menu.

Lunchtime taster menu was beautiful and delicious - light and flavoursome. Attentive and warm service to add. They let us stay till we’ll after closing at lunch and made sure we were well catered for. Would go again and recommend the experience wholeheartedly other than the house cocktails - the classics are much better.

Excellent food,we had the tasting menu & couldn’t pick our best course it was all outstanding. Really enjoyed staff from the kitchen coming out to explain the next dish, a real bonus to see Adam at the pass. I have recommended to my colleagues today at the office, wish we had known earlier about Eve’s in the basement as we would have arranged our pre dinner drinks differently. We will return!
This was a pretty much perfect experience. Fantastic food (nothing at all was amiss), great staff, fab wine pairings. We would happily return any time.
Food was excellent, but portions were a touch on the small side for the price. Dessert was a bit too avant-garde. The meal, drinks, and ambiance, however, were outstanding.
Wonderful to spend our evening being thoroughly spoilt by Adam and the team. The food was impeccable, the service relaxed yet attentive and what a lovely bustling vibe. 10/10 all round 👍

Was a very good birthday lunch. Team were relaxed but professional and food very good indeed. Sommelier was enthusiastic and engaging too. We were very happy campers, thanks.

Fantastic food with a slightly unusual and interstellar take, without being wacky. Great set and great sommelier. All in all, 10 out of 10. And even a special dessert for our anniversary which was actually appropriate
The food was excellent -as expected -truly inspired and original. An informal setting belies the complete professionalism shown by every member of staff - attentive and friendly but not intrusive. My view was towards the kitchen which was a picture of calm and industry. My companion was looking out towards the pedestrianised street and felt that the lights from the shops were a bit bright. The addition of semi opaque blinds would soften the effect . Adam has created a superb restaurant and it was great to see him in the kitchen. I can't wait to go back - I just wish he could reproduce it in Edinburgh!

Had an amazing culinary experience at Frog to celebrate a friends 50th. We went for the taster menu which was exquisite. Every course, even the bread and butter, were expertly prepared and presented. We enjoyed every course and had very clean plates to back it up. The service was excellent, attentive, informative and very friendly. We will certainly be going back for seconds and have already recommended it to friends and family. Thank you all for making it such a pleasure.

An incredible dining experience: every dish served by the chef who prepared it. You could tell how passionate they all were about the dishes, which was great to see. One dish, monkfish in lemongrass broth was outstanding, intense flavour perfectly balanced with a wonderful creamy textured broth that held up perfectly against the strength of the monkfish. They even managed to produce gluten-free agnolotti, which is no mean feat.
Chef Handling was running the pass and was calm and considered: he even had time to talk to us about the meal. I made a comment about it being a privilege to have him in the kitchen, he deflected saying his head chef would have done just a good job in his absence: not only a great chap but a true leader... no wonder he has so many ventures going, he is clearly talented with both the food and management side of fine cuisine.
I booked my table one month in advance for my trip to London. It was for 4 people, my husband, my son, my daughter-in-law and I. The venue was casual. It is nice since we didn’t need to dress up after a long day of sight seeing. We had the 9 course taste menu with Lobster extra. Each dish is creative and tasty. The service is excellent. New utensils for every course. I wished we had more traditional desserts though. We enjoyed the meal very well.
We really enjoyed our visit to Frog, the waiting staff were fun and informative, the chefs serving their food to us was a lovely touch I enjoyed that. The wine waiter was great and the food was just delicious. I really enjoyed the whole experience and would love to return another time.
Incredible birthday lunch for my husband
Was struggling to find a place especially as he took me to villa joy Algarve (we were already there) for my birthday lunch. I need not have worried food different in a good way especially edible birthday candle !! And staff exemplary
Would highly recommend for that special occasion. We had the 5 course menu and fussy son really enjoyed as well. We will be back. Thank you ‘ Frog’
