Absolutely perfect! Beautiful food ....perfect. Could do with putting families with small children in another area there. Was a bit off putting with food thrown in floor from children.

Fabulous food, everything was perfect. Presentation of food was lovely especially puddings. Steak was cooked perfect for 3 people and piping hot. Irish coffee one of the best I had. We will be going back for sure.

Reserved for eight persons to celebrate a birthday. Enjoyed the fayre at reasonable cost. An excellent service after a warm and friendly welcome. Will certainly use this restaurant again.

21 of us Visited yesterday for my daughters 15th birthday and I have to say it was absolutely perfect from the food down to the service ❤️ everyone said how lovely it was . Massive shout out to the young male server his service was one of the best I’ve seen and experienced. Gutted I didn’t catch his name Will definitely tell everyone about this place and will be back x

Very good food. Nice surroundings and ambience. Friendly and efficient but unhurried service. Would recommend The Gate and will definitely visit again.

Second visit in 2 weeks never fails to deliver Tried a new dessert on recommendation from waiter .......very nice! We booking for pre Christmas meal now. New menu for winter coming out soon ....can't wait. Excellent from beginners to end.

Went for lunch and had the set menu 2 courses for £18. Food and service were excellent. Restaurant has been done out really nice and is a lot lighter inside now compared with the previous decor. Would highly recommend
