The Golden Hind restaurant has been located in the heart of Marylebone High Street since 1914. The restaurant preserves the historic charm of its original beginnings back in 1914 to this present day.
Within this warm and charming atmosphere, we take pride in delivering the best quality of fish and chips to all our customers.
Our fish is freshly caught and delivered from Grimsby on a daily basis and then cooked and served in our famous homemade batter.

    The best fish and chips ever. I went there in 2012 for the first time since my son raves about it when he was studying for his masters in London and each time I back I go again. The ownership has changed to next generation and new owner has upgraded to make this restaurant even better!

    The place was crowded. Tables are packed and ceiling height isn't high so all the talking and laughing were trapped in the air. I can hardly hear what my friend said, which was a bit annoying. For the food, we order shrimp cocktails and fried calamari, both are pretty good, up to standard i would say. The fish, we ordered steam cod and plaice. Portions were big. Taste? the fish itself was fresh but we both didn't taste much seasoning. Maybe if we go for fish and chip it would be better.

    This is one of our favourite restaurants in London. Food is simple and well prepared. My husband was disappointed that there was no rock salmon (seasonal) but enjoyed his salmon fish sakes. I had the cod fish cakes which were very tasty. On one of the hottest nights of the year the staff were very amiable and helpful - will definitely return!

    Portion was quite small , had to pay extra for chips this ilia just about unknown . Quite rude manager , couple on next table had raw fish which ok was replaced but very poor. Would not recommend
