It was our last meal at a restaurant before going into Tier 3 that night and then rapidly into Tier 4. The set-lunch was terrific and had a great variety of dishes, all of which were delightful. The memory of this fantastic meal will have to last until restaurants are allowed to open again. Having been to The Good Earth many times over the past forty odd years, it was indeed a high note to end eating out for the foreseeable future.

Manager was very accommodating whilst maintaining distance rules. The staff looked after us well and it was great to have food without MSG. Can't wait to go again.

A great meal at the Good Earth. We were celebrating my daughters new job so a special meal was hoped for and they did not disappoint. We started with cocktails - great (but can we have Mojito on the menu next time please?) and then we had the set menu. Really tasty food, well presented and the service was fast and just the right amount of attention.

We were very pleased with the COVID protections, proper space, temperature checks, good airflow, everyone masked - they took it seriously. From where I was sitting I could see into the kitchens and every cook was wearing a mask all of the time. Nice to see such dedication and attention to detail.

Set Meal for 3 with cocktails to start and desert wine came to £205 which included a 12,5% service charge which we were very happy to pay given the superb service.

We will be back!

Wonderful food and service, but not cheap. But you always feel better for having visited.

As usual was a fabulous evening even though it was a Monday !

It was the worst restaurant experience we'd ever had. It was like being on a conveyor belt. We were asked to order drinks before we'd sat down properly and asked 3 times in 5 minutes to order our food. The staff were hovering over our table all the time and then had a very loud conversation right behind our table. The food was ok, nothing special, especially for the price which was considerably more than the menu on their website. We sat down at 18:25 and left at 19:08. We had booked for a nice relaxed meal but couldn't wait to get out, we will never eat there again. Everything about it was wrong. We asked for the bill and instead of waiting for us to leave, they were desperate to clear the table, awful service and the height of bad manners.

We have been ardent fans of Good Earth for over 25 years. It's the perfect place for a perfect evening with outstanding quality and service.

The very best Chinese meal I have eaten since I lived in Hong Kong forty years ago, a real tour de force, outstanding.

A lovely evening for us again. The restaurant is very well organised with Socially distanced tables and respectful staff. The food is consistently very good and the service always friendly and efficient. Eric and the team are doing a super job to make dining out as normal as possible.

My favourite restaurant, and the best Chinese cuisine that I have come across in over 50 years of enjoying Chinese food. Wonderful menu and excellent food, service and presentation. I’ve been coming here since 1987 and keep coming back.

Food was good but over-priced. Prawn starter was the best. It took almost 45 mins for mains to arrive. Restaurant was busy but no one came to us to inform us of late service. We had to get their attention for some water while patiently waiting for our main courses. Customer service was appalling. Also made a special request upon booking as we were celebrating my daughter's 18th birthday but request was ignored and no effort was made whatsoever to make our evening experience a memorable one.

The Good Earth is our treat for (big) birthdays and anniversaries - it's such a special venue. Lovely food, exemplary service and a good location. In the current context of Covid the staff and management deserve recognition for the way they are managing under difficult circumstances - the experience wasn't diminished from more 'normal' times at all. I would sum up the Good Earth this way: when I mentioned to a colleague that I was dining there this past weekend he just smiled and said 'Well... You can never go wrong there.'
