The Granary Square Brasserie
The brasserie buzz through breakfast, morning coffee, lunch and cream teas in the afternoon. Throughout the day the lounge area will be perfect to relax with a drink or for informal meetings with luxurious vintage leather chairs and low brass tables. As the sun sets and we get ready for dinner, the DJ set will begin, and cocktails will flow.
The restaurant is beautiful with cut glass pendant lights, banquettes upholstered in silk and velvet and exotic kilim rugs. The striking central bar, located in the heart of the room, is perfect to survey the scene and enjoy an aperitif cocktail.
Need to book at 00:15?Other great restaurants with availability.
Jurema Terrace at The Mandrake
top restaurant, with great food and a buzzy atmosphere. Really friendly reception. The only real area that can be improved lets is the attentiveness of the service, in busy times.
Great food although the service was slow. 20 mins between sitting down and out first drinks arriving. Annoyingly we were asked to leave our table dead in the 2 hours, ironically it then took 15 mins to get the bill. When we went to the bar for another drink out table wasn’t reused. And still wasn’t when we left an hour later!
First class service, very nice food. The only issue is I was charged for coffees i didn’t have, only realised the following day. Have contacted Granary Square about this, no response as yet
Have eaten in the Brasserie before and several Ivy Cafes. I always enjoy my time there and will continue to hopefully for a long time.
We had a really lovely evening here. Three old friends who haven’t met up for ages. The staff were amazing. Really well trained, attentive without interrupting our flow. The food was imaginative and different, beautifully presented. Felt special.
Very welcoming and friendly
An incredibly wonderful experience
Often we look for things to criticise but on this occasion faultless will definitely return well done
Always a great experience dining at Granary Square Brasserie.
The waiter Lorenzo is lovely and the team provide such a good service.
Great service - only one problem experienced with a meal that was cold and had to be returned and it took a long time for the replacement so we were eating at different times which was a little awkward. The service was impeccable though and we were kept informed and apologised to for the delays - thought maybe a complimentary coffee would have been nice but all in all a good experience and would highly recommend
Food was fantastic and the waitress was very friendly, however service was very slow between main and dessert. Waited a long time for anyone to take our order and when we received our food we were told that they need the table back in 20 minutes. Supervisor was apologetic but stated it was because they were busy. Either get more staff or take less bookings, don’t accept custom and orders and then tell people to hurry up.
Make sure you book a table. Pleasant staff. Excellent food
Unfortunately despite having previous goo experiences at TGSB on this occasion I wouldn't rush back. Poor food and terrible service. They weren't even busy which was incredibly disappointing.
Food and ambience great as usual. Service very slow. We had to chase up on a few occasions which was disappointing
Great location, tasty food and excellent service. We went to the granary Square on a Monday evening, very busy but probably because it was the beginning of December. Overall enjoyed it, was my second visit.
Lovely meal, lovely surroundings, music a bit too loud, but not a big deal.
I would recommend it to a friend but with some caveats. We had to wait a *long* time for our drinks to come and then there was a problem with the order, so we had to send the wine back (it wasn't what we ordered). Then we had another wait, by which time we had finished the food the drink was to accompany.
We did bring this to the staffs attention and they did eventually understand and made recompense (no charge on dessert). This was good, but it would have been even better to have received what we wanted when we wanted it!
I don't like making a fuss in restaurants and it can reduce sense of enjoyment of the occasion. I was pleased they reduced the bill and were apologetic. ~I would certainly give it another try.
Lovely restaurant and great food / presentation and service. Surprisingly large inside and love the decor. First time I'd visited and would definitely book again.
Staff were friendly but the level of service was terrible. Especially t time it took to order. To be fair to them it was a busy Saturday night but even so it took forever to get drinks and when the food finally came two of the orders were wrong and had to be sent back. Only one of these actually returned. The other got lost somewhere. The waiters were very apologetic and as friendly as they could be, but the overall experience was poor
Waiters were friendly but were quick to move us on as we saw them exchanging looks as we asked for some more water
Food very good & nice variety on the menu.
However the waiter got two of our main courses incorrect . Didn’t apologise , instead after being told of his mistake by another member of staff ,he came back to challenge us and argued the point that infact the order was correct on one of the mains . He didn’t apologise & interrupted us whilst we were eating our mains , we asked him to leave our table as he was spoiling our dining experience by being rude . Another waitress took over & apologised immediatly . We were told that items would be removed frm our bill as an apology , however this didn’t happen. We had coffee & left , not paying the full service charge . I politely left some cash as a tip as the second waitress was very apologetic. It was embarrassing to have to deal with this attitude during our lunch . Wouldn’t recommend Granary Sq I’m afraid .
Booked at table for 3PM- arrive a bit early (2.45) and wanted to have a drink in the bar. Took us 20 mins to get drinks - which is terrible. Then we we're 'forgotten' in the bar - although we were promised our table at 3. We were never offered food, i.e. to eat in the bar. Finally we got in touch with a waitress, and got a table around 3.45. The food was good - and arrived quickly. However, one of the 4 dishes was the wrong one - but at that point we'd given up and simple ate what was served.
Overall everything was ok but I didn’t feel that the service or ambience was as good as I’ve experienced in your other restaurants. I chose Duck Curry which was ok but nowhere near as good as the one I had in your Soho restaurant some time ago.
Excellent experience having a lovely Christmas meal with my family.
Fabulous venue for a reunion with friends, everything was great!
My second time at Granary Square Brassiere and it certainly lived up to my first experience. Staff are friendly and attentive and the food is wonderful with generous portions. The decor and ambience of the restaurant is lovely. Totally recommend and I will be back
Tiny portions and tasteless food. I had a lobster pasta for 30 pounds that was about 3 mouthfuls and tasted like airplane food. It's nice atmosphere in there and Christmassy but standards in there have slipped. Style over substance! Would no longer reccomend
I like this place, but the noise was really too much...
Lovely atmosphere in beautiful building.
Always try to visit this place unfortunately this time I had an issue with my chicken dish but they dealt with that in an appropriate way
Great food, wine & cocktails. Top class barman. Great evening.
Food and service was very good with an excellent choice of wines. Definitely recommend!
Considering we had a 6pm reservation, I was disappointed that they had run out of Veggie shepherds pie.
Always lots of staff in these restaurants milling about but not making eye contact with customers so you spend a lot of time trying to get someone's attention throughout the evening.
That said the ambiance was great and the staff are all very friendly.
Meeting with client so noise level important. all pretty good.
It's a Tuesday night, it's buzzing, the food is delicious as are the drinks. Catch up with friends was perfect. Thank you
Great, lively environment for a night out with my parents. Servers were awesome. Food was great. Really fun atmosphere all around
Another great dining experience. Super warm and welcoming team, great service and lovely food. I look forward to going back again soon.
Service at the table was fantastic and we felt very well looked after .
The only thing that let it down was the front desk . I called a head and asked about me bringing the pram. The guy on the phone was helpful but made me feel like I was being very difficult . And the staff on the front desk were worse .
Good food at a reasonable price for the location; close to Kings X / St Pancras.
This was the first time we tried the Brasserie as usually we dine at Lighterman or Bellanger.
There were too many tables packed into the restaurant, very little space and too many people.
The food was sub standard and the portions was small for main courses. The chicken schnitzel was tough and dry, the mash was dry and the watercress was wilted. My partner also had a long fishbone in his fishcake. The children’s food was ok. The coffee was ok, but the truffles could have been bought from Thornton’s.
Very poor for the Ivy and sadly another poor experience after a dreadful lunch in Ivy Brasserie Soho in September.
We won’t come again.
Excellent food and good service at reasonable prices. Felt cramped as tables very close together. Had to vacate the table for the next booking after 2.5 hours which was annoying as it had not been made clear at the time of booking.
Beautiful restaurant with top service. I would seriously recommend
Great meal as always.
Lovely buzzy setting. Friendly staff
Food cooked to perfection and a special night out.
