The Granary Square Brasserie
The brasserie buzz through breakfast, morning coffee, lunch and cream teas in the afternoon. Throughout the day the lounge area will be perfect to relax with a drink or for informal meetings with luxurious vintage leather chairs and low brass tables. As the sun sets and we get ready for dinner, the DJ set will begin, and cocktails will flow.
The restaurant is beautiful with cut glass pendant lights, banquettes upholstered in silk and velvet and exotic kilim rugs. The striking central bar, located in the heart of the room, is perfect to survey the scene and enjoy an aperitif cocktail.
Lovely food and great service
Only thing I would change is the table next to us was very close so it was hard to have a conversation
All staff polite & helpful
Set price lunch is good value with reasonable choice
Great food and vibe, service is attentive with charming staff, but may take a little while for food and drinks to come.
Lovely food! Great service! Beautiful setup ! We enjoyed it a lot
Great food and ambience, & nice touch from the restaurant in adding a special dessert because we were celebrating a special occasion. A great evening enjoyed by all. Thank you.
Always happy to done here, really friendly and helpful staff - lots of options on the menu and never had a disappointing meal. Highly recommended, especially with younger kids who they seem to accommodate without fuss.
Went for brunch on a busy Sunday. Lovely staff but food very slow to arrive and not great quality (e.g eggs benedict on stale muffins with over cooked eggs). Were accommodating of baby but no space for pram.
Just excellent. Loved it.
The Granary Square Brasserie has a lovely ambience, but service is below par. They didn't bring our starter, or coffees, and I had to send back my main first time around because the poached eggs were cooked solid.
Very nice environment and atmosphere. Service good . Brunch menu a bit odd - a few breakfast dishes with chips and then mainly lunch type meals. Best to get early enough for breakfast or later, for lunch. 11 am meant breakfast had finished, which is a shame on a Sunday. However, I would go again but not at 11!
Great food and pretty quick service. The restaurant has a lovely decor but music can be as bit load so hard to hear each other at times. Would definitely recommend!
Great and convenient location. Stylish and good service.
We had an enjoyable breakfast meeting overall. The food was very nice and the coffee was very quick.
Good food, great service and atmosphere
Convenient for main access by train to and from London
Really nice experience, good service and amazing food
Absolutely outstanding. Loved the bar area and great cocktails
Food was delicious but what let the whole experience down was the initial service.
It took nearly 20 mins for the wine to reach our table and I had to ask when ONE STARTER ONLY arrived.
Had to call the manager, who sped things up and made sure we finally got our wine. My partner had finished his starter by the time mine arrived.
This let the whole experience down but things improved as the night went on.
A shame because it was an anniversary supper.
Overall though the food was very good!!
Really great ambience and terrific food. What’s not to like??
Lively, energised atmosphere, just right for celebrating with friends!
This meal was a delight. Excellent value for low price. The service was efficient and friendly. . .Everyone who dealt with us. A really great experience.
But there was an awful smell of sewage from AC or something.
Put me off food.
There are not enough staff for number of diners and our experience was mixed. Some of our food was excellent but a buffalo mozzarella dish was sub-par - the mozzarella was old and no artichokes were served with it - and had to be returned. We waited over half an hour to get our drinks on arriving but then were pestered every five minutes to order. It was a real shame as we had expected a better experience given the name and price.
Good food efficient service.
The Ivy chain provides a good dining experience. Good service and good value food. Convenient for St Pancras station.
Really good meal as usual. Both the service and the food was very good. Tables seemed a little close together though, I am sure the next door table could hear our conversation!
Overall we had a good experince. Service was efficient and friendly. I had asked for a corner table online, but the request was initially not met. However when I asked for a corner table, luckily this was available and we moved. Temperature was quite cold and when we mentioned this our comments were met with surprise and no mention of adjusting this. Otherwise all was up to the usual "Ivy experience".
Generally the visit was very good but I found it noisy. I don't go to a restaurant to listen to the music, I go to eat and converse with my lunch guest.
although a beautiful restaurant and staff that do seem to want to be helpful - the whole organisation and service is really poor. Either they just do not have enough staff or very badly organised - we seemed to have about 3 different people serving us. The food was ok - I had duck salad that was very average, and venison to follow again just ok and very expensive as dish of the day - all the food that was served was tepid.
Lovely interior and location. The duck curry was rather short on duck and the serving a little meagre for the price. My salmon fillet was lovely but the broccoli was almost raw. I mentioned it to the waitress but she didn't offer to bring me a replacement. I gave up trying to saw through the stalk with my knife and left it. My sister's fish in batter was plentiful and excellent.
Food was average and the service was very rushed (literally taking our first course away with one hand and putting the main down with the other!), we ordered and were served three courses + coffee within an hour. Prawns were a bit mushy. Noise levels were astronomical. Have been twice before and seems to be less good each time.
The Granary Square Brasserie provides a really pleasing environment and ambience. We loved the DJ, whose taste in old school soul and funky music was fabulous. The service was faultless and staff are very helpful and friendly. It is the quality of the food that needs to improve. It is poor value for money.
However, we will return because of all of the other positive points.
Had a fabulous evening here last Saturday night for my birthday with three friends, great ambience, friendly staff, beautiful decor and lovely background music. Dinner was delicious, and the wine too. Will definitely be coming back, I really can’t recommend highly enough.
I have been to Granary Square Brasserie before just after it had opened and had a very good experience. The experience was completely different this time and I think this is usually what happens in London once a restaurant becomes part of a chain and has been open for over a year! The service was very slow and we only had 2 hours as we couldn't be seated earlier, the people before us were running late. They forgot our French Fries so it came late and we had already eaten half our main course. We ordered tea and desert, they brought the desert and forgot the tea! We asked for our tea, after a considerable delay, they brought tea for half of us! Upon complaining very politely, the remaining teas were served and as courtesy, we were not charged for those.
The food was ok but not the tasty dish that I had before at this branch and Ivy Marlebone.
A lovely baby free lunch for our group of NCT mums. We enjoyed prosecco and G&Ts and a lovely relaxed lunch. The restaurant is very comfortable and feels luxurious, and the food is tasty. A really nice place to spend a wet Saturday afternoon.
We had a very good moment to the Granary Square Brasserie. The service was great and the food delicious.
Don't heistate to go to this place for a nice family/friends/lovers brunch or any other reason.
Apart from waiting for our table for quite a while....
Lovely food, great atmosphere. Will definitely return.
I marked the experience lower as we were placed on a a cold evening at a table that the staff has to keep going in and out of the serve the outdoor customers, this meant that we were constantly being exposed to the very cold draught that this caused. We asked to be moved but no free tables.
It was OK just found the food was not quite as hot as it should have been and the veg a little to raw as unable to cut with the knife.
Really nice ambience and menu. Service was a bit slow at times but restaurant was full with lunchtime customers.
Recommended for place to meet up with family/ friends.
