The Granary Square Brasserie
The brasserie buzz through breakfast, morning coffee, lunch and cream teas in the afternoon. Throughout the day the lounge area will be perfect to relax with a drink or for informal meetings with luxurious vintage leather chairs and low brass tables. As the sun sets and we get ready for dinner, the DJ set will begin, and cocktails will flow.
The restaurant is beautiful with cut glass pendant lights, banquettes upholstered in silk and velvet and exotic kilim rugs. The striking central bar, located in the heart of the room, is perfect to survey the scene and enjoy an aperitif cocktail.
Food was lovely but the service was a bit slow but probably because it was a weekend. A wonderful experience overall
It was all very good. Service was quick on a very busy day. Ordered a coffee that was very weak but sorted immediately within arguments. Impressed
Great place, lovely setting, great food - only criticism was it was a bit dark in the corner table that we sat in. Otherwise no other negatives - was a lovely meal and good value for London.
Really good meal as usual in the Granary Square Brasserie. Very busy but the service, although very friendly, was not great. Dishes missed, vegetables bought when the main meal was nearly finished, coffee was bought that wasn't ordered etc. But a really good evening all the same. Will still keep coming back!!
Overall a good experience. However, it felt like our waiter was under pressure to ‘process’ us , almost as though he was being timed as to how quickly he could ‘turnover’ the table.
There is such a thing as efficient service and there’s pushy service. This is the second time recently I’ve eaten in an Ivy chain restaurant and both times it’s crossed the line. Corporate greed invariably gets its comeuppance. Be careful.
This is our second visit and again the service was not good.
The wrong wine was brought and poured for tasting. When the right wine was brought the waiter spilled it all the table.
The food was placed at the wrong people at both courses and the double expresso coffee was served in a large cup, which is not appropriate.
It is a shame as the room is very pleasant to sit it, but the staff do not seem to be properly trained.
Generally an excellent addition to The Ivy Collection. Food in the most, good. Highlight is the Steak Tartare. The one disappointing item was the Zucchini Fritti which despite being described as 'crispy courgette fries', were wet and mushy. Perhaps a bad batch but I've expected a higher level of consistency from the numerous brasseries I have visited in the collection.
Great venue and location - delivers on all fronts.
Fabolous food, tasty and well presented.
Sublime dessert. Very nice family dinner
We popped in for a quick late Sunday lunch, the place was buzzing and we enjoyed our truffled chicken and Shepherd’s pie mains
Great food and fun atmosphere.
Went for my birthday with friends. Food was delicious. Only reason I gave 4 stars for food is because we had to send back to 2 shrimp burgers that were under cooked. Had to send back one of the replacements too. But was quickly rectified & taken off our bill. Service was impeccable. Also got a lovely birthday mini dessert. Nice touch.
From the moment we arrived all the staff were attentive and helpful. My daughter is 7 months pregnant and they found us a different table where she could sit more comfortably. The food was delicious, well cooked and presented. We went to celebrate my sister’s birthday and at the end of the meal she was treated to a little special cake from the waiting staff. Thanks to everyone for making our precious family time extra special!
fantastic staff - great place - great atmosphere and they didn't mind us hanging around for hours enjoying their cocktails in the lounge area. will 100% be back!
Lovely setting and great food as always. Staff were grumpy, not very welcoming and quite judgemental.
Arrived tad early for table and shown a seat at the bar, had a nice cocktail pre lunch.
The tables were a tad close but enough space. Decor was on point.
Service was very good and enjoyed the food.
I can honestly say that this restaurant is even better than the Grain Store, which was in it's location until recently. The food is delicious, the service friendly and speedy, and the value is what you would expect for the quality they provide. We can't wait to go back!
We had a lovely evening and the service was excellent. My friend ordered a steak which she was not hoppy with so they immediately changed it for something else and we were not charged. The staff were so helpful and friendly and the food was delicious. Will be back very soon.
Fantastic decor and a great vibe on a Friday night. The food and wine were very nice but not outstanding, and at £60 a head despite only having one course, it was expensive for what it was. Would recommend for a special occasion though.
I enjoyed my evening at the granary over all. The food was excellent and the restaurant itself very nice. My complaints are poor organisation initially. We had to wait for our table and staff at the reception area didn't seem to know what they were doing, which was annoying. It was also difficult to get a waiters attention once we were eating. However in the main its a great place.
Very good & value for money dinner. Place is good for group & family
Delightful evening at granary with superb food. Lovely service
The service was the best I've experienced in any restaurant. Ever. And the food and ambience were perfect.
Excellent service with great food
A lovely way to celebrate my daughters birthday 👍👍
Booked to go back for dinner!!
Nice addition to the ivy group’s restaurants - same menu / same type of professional crowd but slightly different style
We booked a table for 8.30,it was a busy night. We arrived early and had a drink at a lounge table. Our table was ready half an hour late and it was a table for 2 not 3 . We walked back to our lounge table where we decided to stay and order food. Food arrived like warm. Service was polite but slow. Not the best of experiences
great place. very nice atmosphere. staff very competent and kind especially a lady called Flavia
This was a great experience and the birthday cake(!) for my wife was a very nice touch.
Was a special occasion & was very impressed with a surprise birthday tart. Would definitely recommend to others.
Wonderful afternoon tea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon. Crab/avocado starter a little small, but fish cakes were lovely. We'll be back.
Good quality meal in smart surroundings. The set lunch at £16.50 for two courses was good value.
Would definitely recommend. A Fantastic Brasserie. Lovely ambience with great choice of food. Staff very helpful and have a real interest in their customers. The Cottage pie was sooo good and the Apple tart with flambé calvados poured over was excellent. We’ll be back.
Great location, good service and food. Quiet to begin with but got pretty busy and somewhat noisy.
We had a disrupted visit, initially being seated at a table with very poor lighting and then being asked to shift to a new table entirely after our meal was served and before dessert. The service was pretty slow but it was busy and we weren't in a particular rush.
The food was good though and generous, with a fine selection of drinks. We stayed almost until closing so overall I'd say it was an enjoyable - if not fragmented - evening.
Good food, service was excellent, but very noisy for a business lunch
Lovely interior and ambiance. We were lucky to have a table at the quiet corner as it's a bit noisy. Service was fast, even maybe too fast!, meals were tasty.
Lovely ambience, good food and excellent attentive service. I would just say I suppose that some of the tables are very close together, especially the twos, which makes a private conversation next to impossible. There are a view that are a bit more private - perhaps ask if you need one.
Table for 2 booked for 20:30 and restaurant was fully booked, busy and a little noisy. The table was very narrow and there was little space for all dishes and glasses. It was also close to adjoining tables for 2...obviously they had tried to cram in as many diners as possible at the expense of a more relaxing dining experience. I had the roast salmon which came with a small amount of broccoli and had a side of jasmine rice. My partner also had a main and side. The overall bill for the night with a glass of champagne, coffee and chocolates, but no dessert came to over £90 for the two of us which was pricey considering the less than perfect environment, small portions and small table
The place is just beautiful. All my favourite colours.
