This time we had a disappointing breakfast. Food lukewarm and cold before we had finished eating. The scrambled eggs were dry and tasteless. The cherry tomatoes were barely cooked and difficult to eat with cutlery. Had to eat them with our fingers!

This was an afternoon tea bought as a mothers day present which we used on my daughters birthday. It was a lovely afternoon. The staff was so friendly and polite. Will definitely be going back.

Been to the Grange before and its been ok. This time a real drop in quality. Waited 30 minutes to order and then another 30 minutes for the main meal to arrive. Used to be good for Gluten Free but very poor choice now. 2 of the 4 meals were not very good. The fish and chips were ok but only 4 chips? Overall disappointed

Service quite slow, table by door cold, staff lovely, busy & food good. Would recommend the breakfast which is served until 2pm. Menu a bit “American”. Pumpkin pie & waffles? Would love to see cream teas & ALL DAY breakfast. Vegans catered for, rather than vegetarians. Always a disappointment for a veggie.

A lovely restaurant staffed by really friendly, welcoming and efficient people, many of whom are excellent volunteers, who are wholly professional about their roles. Huge respect for Sue, the maitre d' who always shows real care for her diners and is always brilliantly efficient, friendly and unflappable. Eating at The Grange is always an enjoyable experience. Always...highly recommended.

Such a shame as so very disappointing. Given the simplicity of the food ordered it just wasn’t good enough. Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t go back. Given this is part of hearing dogs we really wanted it to be good, coffee and cake I think works but the lunch time meals weren’t up to standard.

Took my Mum for a birthday afternoon tea. It was very enjoyable and the staff were extremely friendly. Would recommend. If you are after the traditional white tablecloth and doilies probably not for you though.

If you're having a main meal allow at least one and a half hours since the service is generally very slow. We were told 20 minutes waiting time but it was in fact nearer 40 minutes. The service was delivered with a smile and I have absolutely no complaints with it. The food was piping hot, too hot to eat actually, with good sized portions but heavy on potato rather than fish (fish pie) or chicken/ham (chicken, ham and leek pie). The ambience is really great, it's a fun place to eat but don't expect fine dining or speedy service. The wine used to be borderline undrinkable but perhaps it's changed. We'll definitely go again.

What a lovely place to meet friends and chat over good food. Despite having lived locally for a long time I’ve only recently discover The Grange but it’s already become an often suggested meeting place. There’s plenty of parking and we’ve yet to be disappointed. Don’t forget to book!

Food was very good, but I feel the portions could be a bit bigger especially the roast dinner myself and my wife had the beef and I could have easily eaten another piece as they were quite small cuts. Otherwise a enjoyable dinner.

We found the main fish very good, However the desert was so full of cinnamon on both the apple crumble and the pumpkin pie That we couldn’t eat it all. Far too much cinnamon! It’s a very strong spice, and too much of it was used, spoiling both deserts. The service was very slow also.

Another lovely visit to the Grange. It was very full but the wait was absolutely fine and the food was delicious when it came. I enjoyed the lamb tagine and my friend had the mushroom mac & cheese which she really loved - but needed a take-away box as it was such a generous portion! Still my favourite local lunch-time venue!

As usual we received a warm welcome from everyone at the Grange. Although it was very busy the service was still excellent. The Christmas menu was also first class

Easily booked on line and good parking. Very slightly tricky to drop offdisabled walker with nowhere to turn around before reurning to park. Friendly and efficient service. Good range of teas and coffees , but only full fat milk and no fruit teas. Eggs Benedict on the breakfast menu with alternatives was excellent.

Very good food,.lovely polite staff, everything cooked fresh so a bit of a wait. Very large cafe, accessible and great for children and doggies , will be beautiful to visit in summer with its lovely outdoor area too!

I took my Sister, and Brother-In-Law, to The Grange, for lunch yesterday. They loved the place. The staff were lovely, and the food was excellent, and reasonably priced. They fully understood why I had recommended it. They also purchased some Christmas cards, whilst there. They wished they lived nearer, so they could go more often.
