Excellent meal, good service, pleasant staff, London norm prices. Pretty noisy at times and not a lot of space. Booking essential
I've eaten here many times and never been disappointed with the food. The service is excellent also. The prices are a little high but hey, it's Knightsbridge.
Overall, highly recommended.
Wonderful Beef Wellington... we always come here when we are in London for their Beef Wellington.
Cozy pub hidden down a cobblestone street . Great atmosphere!
Just ok. Food was good but there are friendlier places.
Excellent choice!!! A really good experience! Very good food
Love the history and the beer and the food - has and beef Wellington / fish & chips
excellent service. easy neighborhood friendly place. highly recommend.
Wonderful beef wellington
Pub had no record of our booking, which rather defeats the purpose of booking via OpenTable
Walked to the Pub because the weather was Great. We were on the opposite side of the street and missed the very little side street on the other side. Findly we saw 2 Policemen, asked where the Pub was. They not only gave us directions, but also a very good review of the Pub. The 1st and 3rd courses were outstanding. I had the Pub's Special Dish the Beef Wellington. The crust not Flaky and was burned in some places. The server was outstanding. However, I would Recommend the Pub.
Very disappointing after all I read about this place. The food , wine and service were good. But the place needs a major make over. It looks like a very old, untidy, dirty pub. The dining room and tables are very small and cramped. My colleague and wore blazers on the basis the requirement was "business casual". In fact , we stood out among all the jeans and T shirts even among staff.
I was upset about inviting me friend there
Delicious food & great service
One of the best pubs in the world
So I have to write 50 characters
One of the best pubs in the world.
Ordered the famous beef Wellington, and it did not disappoint! The only thing I would suggest is to provide the guests with steak knives for the beef Wellington orders.
The best pub location, atmosphere, value and food in london
Very small dining area and pub. Reservation a must for dinner. Pub will be 300yrs old in 2020 and was an old gathering place for military. Dark in dining area, only a few tables. Active bar as well. Beef Wellington was excellent as was fish pie. Desserts very good. When I ay small pub I mean really small.
Birthday/ end of United Kingdom tour
Excellent place, the service was good, the food could be improve.
A lovely little cosy pub tucked away in a picturesque mews in Belgravia. The Grenadier is steeped in history. We visited on a warm summer's evening. The pub was busy, both inside and outside with a buzzing atmosphere but not too lively. Our server was friendly and attentive, the Beef Wellington was delicious and perfectly cooked. I can imagine that the atmosphere here around Christmas must be very warm and snug. I shall return.
Sehr schönes kleines Pup. Das Hausbier kann ich nur empfehlen. Sehr gemütlich.
This is a hidden gem tucked away in a quiet corner of busy London. If you like 19th Century military ambiance this place is worth a visit. Food was good, service fine. A tad cramped inside but it is a small place.
We were thrilled with our experience all around! What a fantastic dinner our first evening in London! The best Beef Wellington!
A delightful pub in beautiful surroundings. Set in a delightfully beautiful mews its a tad difficult to find.
It's full of character and original features but would benefit from a lick of paint and a slight upgrade.
The menu is small but a crowd pleaser and the food was very good. Their 'famous' beef wellington is rightly heralded.
As the pub is very small it's quite hot and crowded. Not a lot one can do about that. But the dining chairs were very uncomfortable (cushions would help) and tables for two people are very small. Wait staff were very attentive to begin with but no so much once food was finished.
I highly recommend going here. Thanks again! Food is terrific.
Beautiful, small pub with wonderful atmosphere and exquisite food. Service was great. We had a delightful lunch.
We were recommended to go to this Pub in London and it was a great decision. Food was delicious, the atmosphere is great. It’s a small place but very cozy and warm. We tried the potato and leek soup and the beef Wellington, they were both outstanding!
Would go again if I ever go back to London.
Amazing dishes! The Beef Wellington and the fish and chips were superb!
One of the best pub in London. Excellent English food and recipes!!
Best chicken and beef Wellington I’ve ever had
Fish and chips is a huge portion.
The beef Wellington was the best I’ve ever had and the local bitter was a perfect compliment! The desserts were delicious as well. Service impeccable and staff very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!!!
Great food and atmosphere in an authentic old pub / restaurant hidden away down a mews. We went on our anniversary and were very happy with our experience.
A wonderful gastroopub. Recommended.
Incredible Food! We ordered Beef Wellington and Bone In Ribeye with Bernaisse Sauce. Both were divine. Ambiance is unique and comfortable. Highly recommend this restaurant.
The food and service was excellent. Beef Wellington was fantastic. Really nice pub, bit of a hidden gem, would highly recommend :)
Cute place, hidden off the main roads from tourists. Great food and service. Definitely going back when in London again.
Lovely hidden away little pub, food was excellent, great wine selection and very friendly staff.
Great food and beer and an old fashioned pub welcome from the Landlord. Great way to spend a Friday lunchtime!
Excellent food. We had both the cod and Beef Wellington. Both were outstanding. It is very difficult to find so start out early.
Amazing food and all round experience. We chose this on a recommendation and were not disappointed. We are from Cornwall and had initially booked another venue, but had excellent feedback about The Grenadier and decided to make the switch. All food was exceptional, great wine list and vibe about the place. It's tucked away at the end of a mews close, so you need to hunt this place out, but it is well worth it on all fronts.
