Fantastic venue! A quintessential British pub with lots of history and character.
A great evening in a historic pub. The food was simply outstanding and the staff were warm, friendly and professional.
It was quiet and lacked a bit of atmosphere but that was more to do with it being a Monday night and we have only just come out of lockdown
To be honest I am torn about writing such a good review as I would like to keep this place to myself, BUT fair is fair, I would unhesitatingly recommend this place to anyone who likes great food, a good selection of wines and wonderful staff (it has a resident ghost to boot!!!!)
It is consistently good here, the fresh cod was just that, as fresh and delicious as could be and the service is always so polite and charming.
Great as usual. One of my favorite places in London. Beef Wellington =Mic Drop.....
Very historic Pub with excellent food.
Food it great. Although expensive
Wine and drinks were expensive too
All around greatness!
Brilliant food, great selection of beers on tap and wines by the glass. Location and ambiance just awesome.
Great little pub, discreetly hidden, cosy atmosphere, great food with a good wine list and draught beer. Try the Beef Wellington - deservedly famous!
Petit dîner tranquille sans prise de tête...
Scallops amazing!,,,very good meat and croquettes..
This cozy pub has become one of our favorites! Best fish and chips we have found in London.
We went to The Grenadier on Sunday before a show. It was the perfect quaint British food experience. The food was excellent. The restaurant is small and charming. Service was a bit slow, but it was a Sunday afternoon. I figure most people linger on such occasions. We loved it. Fish and Chips was great and so was the Beef Wellington.
Great local hidden away from the main drags of Belgravia. Staff are fabulous. Food tasty. All in all a wonderful place to be on a rainy afternoon. Thanks
A wonderful and characterful pub. Highly recommended any time of year for food and drink.
great food, far better than many restaurants around
Loved having a Sunday Roast at The Grenadier - a gorgeous pub, with a great vibe! We'll be back!
Lovely ambience and great food. Would recommend it for a London experience
What a wonderful dining experience!! The food is excellent. The staff takes great care of you!!
A good time spent on brexit day as French Briton.
Fuimos por las opiniones nos encantó!!!
v characterful. good food. if visiting on a quiet night in winter wear a jumper as it's not massively heated.
My parents and I had a lovely dinner at The Grenadier. We all had beef Wellington and sticky toffee pudding; food was outstanding, as always. Quite a few people at the bar however it wasn’t noisy at all and we all enjoyed our dinner. Staff very friendly and helpful!
Super excellent food, especially Beef Wellington for main course. Starter with Ox Cheek is perfect. Only problem with pudding - chocolate fondant - although I found a little piece of plastic inside my ice cream (because the chef forgot to check ), overall the fondant is delicious. Customer service is excellent and understanding the customer. Definitely recommend my friends or family.
I was recommended this pub by a friend and booked a table for early dinner before a show. We arrived and had the worlds smallest table right next to the toilet. The whole room smelled of urinal soap and there was no atmosphere at all, even with the gas fire. The lights were on full blast and there was no music. The staff seemed annoyed that we were there and were really rude to an asian couple next to us. I was annoyed i ordered a drink because we wanted to leave immediately. The website and the menu looked like a cozy london pub...but its far from it. Maybe at 10pm on a saturday night it would be better, but Im not gonna go back to find out.
Great as ever, very easy to book
Authentic ambiance and good beer and wonderfull wine list
We visited on a Friday lunchtime before going to a show at the Royal Albert Hall (it’s about a 30min walk from there). The landlord was very welcoming and the service was excellent. We ate there and would definitely recommend the beef wellington, it was delicious though rather pricey. Would definitely visit there again, and recommend it to others.
Definitely one of my favorite places in London to dine! It’s a hidden treasure and a little difficult to find and that’s what makes it so cool. The best Beef Wellington I’ve ever had!
Great small pub off the beaten path in London. Not typical pub food. Speciality is the Beef Wellington which was excellent and something very different for Americans or other foreigners in London. The intimacy of the pub (it is very small) makes the experience very different.
Great reservation service. Wonderfully British menu. Dreamy authentically magical.
Staff friendly and service very good as was the food. Dining area was a bit dark and adjoining table had two consecutive business meetings/presentations taking place on a round table of 6 men which didn’t help the atmosphere for a couple dining together to be honest. Still a hidden gem worth finding though.
Been going to the grenadier for a number of years despite living in Kent, but it's always a pleasure, great staff, excellent food and very excellent experience. Would thoroughly recommend. It's our favourite pub.
Tiny pub with no pretentions. Serves a great pint and the small number of tables that were all full on a Monday evening says everything. The menu is a bit limited but the food is well cooked and presented. This is my fourth visit.
The perfect spot for our first night in London. The pub was kid-friendly and everything was delicious! Highly recommend for a traditional London pub experience.
Fab food and atmosphere, would always recommend the Grenadier
friendly owner, great food and wine,, reasonably priced for its location. would definitely revisit.
The Beef Wellington was amazing.
Amazing Sunday Roast!
The pub is beautiful. The atmosphere is great. But food is way overpriced.
