Taking hospitality back to its roots with a warm welcome from our genuinely friendly team breathing new life back into the heart of the community.
The menu will offer daily, hyper-seasonal specials, and plenty of British game, meat and fish. Executive chef and owner, Jamie Dobbin is passionate about local sourcing and traditional dishes, such as Half dozen Porthilly rock oysters with shallot dressing, Brixham King scallops with burnt butter cauliflower and caviar or Portland hogget Shepherd’s pie with grilled cutlet.
Serious meat lovers can expect 45 day aged native and rare breed steak on offer as well as a hero dish of Beef Wellington for two. Fish is of course wild, sustainable, and British, sourced from day boats on the South coast with the daily catch delivered straight to the door in a matter of hours. There is a handsome bar menu too, and as always, Sunday roasts are a big fixture on the menu every week.

    Great customer service all staff really friendly Delicious Sunday roast - beef so tender and loved the bottomless “sides” Kindly made me up a non alcoholic elderflower fizz which was amazing! Will definitely return and will leave room for the delicious looking desserts next time too!

    We had been regular diners at The Greyhound (including a party on Christmas Day 2022) until about six months ago when we had a very disappointing meal (Monday night, poor quality food) and we hadn’t been back. Yesterday completely turned out thoughts around. The food (skate wings/risotto/desserts) was superb, Michelin star standard! We will definitely come back.

    Fabulous evening at the Supper Club at the Greyhound. Fabulous food combined with lovely wines and the shared tables make for a very convivial evening. We'll definitely be back for another one plus just for meals.

    First time eating at The Greyhound and something we will repeat again. Sunday lunch was plentiful (bottomless refill on vegetables, roast potatoes and pigs in blankets) cooked well and good value for money. It's a must on your list if you like good food and a nice atmosphere
