The Grill at 1-26-Hyatt Playa del Carmen

The waiter got every order wrong. They do not write the orders down. We ordered the small portions and we brought the large selection from the menu and at the larger cost. The seafood was overcooked. The street corn was returned because it was cold and the second one way soggy and mushy.
The shrimp was cooked to a rubbery texture and was hard to palette. The steak was good but they brought it without a sauce and had to wait 10 minutes for a steak knife. My salad was forgotten and came at the end of the meal.
Very poor meal, presentation and service.
If this is the best “fine dining” at the Hyatt it is a shame.

We had an exceptionally good dinner at The Grill. Service and food were both top-notch, and the desserts were almost worth the trip alone. Kudos to the pastry chef for very original and artistic creations. Recommended.

El atún no nos gustó tanto. La atención excelente. Cuando se empezó a llenar de puso un poco más caliente.

Our dining experience was phenomenal. The food tasted great and the presentation was amazing. Our waiter was very attentive and made some great dessert recommendations. Some of the best steak and grilled vegetables I’ve ever had!

We had lovely service and a truly amazing experience here! Our server helped guide us when needed and was available without hovering. The setting is very modern and romantic. Go herd whether you’re at the hotel or not.

As a local, the valet parking is a plus. Also, ramps most of the way is excellent for older or disabled diners. It was quiet enough for us to have conversation, which is a major plus in this area. Our waiter was personable and attentive. We never felt rushed. The venue is attractive. A negative, we were a party of five, there are no round tables and we were seated at a 4 top with an extra place at one end. Not horrible, but not fine dining way to go. We shared 3 appetizers. I had not had bone marrow before so we tried it along with the tuna tartar and crab cake. Crab cake was good, tuna was excellent. Perhaps me, but I thought the bone marrow was without significant taste. One time was enough. We each had a dinner and I'll speak of only mine, a rib eye. I thought it would be thicker. It was done as requested, very rare and the seasoning was excellent. Overall it was a pleasant evening. I suggest some round tables which are conducive to conversation. Pricing a bit high, but having a restaurant that doesn't want to also be a nightclub is attractive.

Ladies night was unreal!! 50% off food and beverage on Thursdays for ladies. We had wonderful cocktails and delicious food. The service was so friendly and attentive. The views were beautiful. It didn’t feel crowded or congested at all.

We’re doing the “basic all inclusive option” here at the Grand Hyatt, and everything we have eaten thus far has been excellent. Our first dinner here was at The Grill at 1 26 and the food was great. Service was better than I expected, and the curry muscle appetizer is something I’ve dreamt about for a solid day now. I wish it was a main course option. Maybe tonight I’ll ask if my curry dreams can come true. Back to the Grill review: My steak was cooked perfectly (medium rare), and we’re going through eat there again, tonight.

Pues buen servicio solo hubo un error en la cuenta por equivocación me cobraron una botella en lugar de una copa el mesero muy atento enmendó su error pero me parece que por lo menos un capitán o el gerente debieron haber visitado la mesa para dar la cara o para asegurarse que todo estaba bien

I attended "ladies night" with 3 girlfriends. Food was mostly delicious, barring one overcooked filet and asparagus was not hot. These items however, were immediately rectified. Orherwise, service and music were excellent. I would definitely go there again!

The service is always amazing! We were here last summer and specifically came back and were just as happy.

De entrada pésimo servicio. Nos atendió un cuate de nombre Rogelio y la verdad muy muy mal, no para un restaurante que presume buen nivel y tiene precios como si estuvieras en Miami.
Fuimos el 14 de febrero y no tuvieron el mas mínimo detalle para la ocasión, bueno ni nos preguntaron, era un día más.
Y por último la comida demasiado cara para lo que es. El Mar y Tierra vale 800 pesos el plato y te mandan un mini filete de 150 gramos y dos mini pedazos de cola de langosta quemada.
Lastima que uno de los mejores hoteles en toda la Riviera Maya como es este HYATT presente un restaurante así...ese día entendí porque no hay un solo comensal local nunca. Es el típico restaurante para abusar de los turistas!

On our honeymoon. Chef Anton’s menu was described as my wife as having multiple textures in each dish, large portions and very affordable. We spent less than 2000 pesos and ate like kings. Manuel, our server was awesome. He guided us expertly through our dining experience. Looking forward to this being an annual tradition.

Exceptional service and exceptional food. We tried almost everything on the menu after a few dinners and it was all good. Highly recommend this restaurant. It was one of the many highlights of our trip to Playa Del Carmen.

The Grill at the Grand Hyatt, Playa Del Carmen, was outstanding. We had the steak and lobster which was perfectly prepared and delicious. The ambiance and service was five star and we had a lovely time celebrating my 70th birthday. We highly recommend.

Great food and service quiet enough for conversation

Service was great. Food was superb. Ordered the tomahawk but unfortunately was super fatty & overcooked but still delicious. Stunning restaurant.

The expectation was high considering we spent over $200 on the meal. After going to restaurant ha and spending less and having an amazing experience we hoped a name like Hyatt would overwhelm us with an even better experience for Christmas Eve. But the quality of food was extremely sub par. Red lobster in the states serves better quality fish. We had the bone marrow which was ok but the bread was overwhelmingly smoky/burnt you couldn’t taste the marrow. We had the crab cakes which were sadly dry and didn’t come with a good amount of sauce. The main course was a seafood grill for 2. We didn’t finish this as everything was bland and over cooked. However dessert was nice. We picked rose and chocolate which went well with the wine. If this meal was under $100 we wouldn’t care to leave a bad review but for the price and the name of Hyatt the quality was such a disappointment.

The views and atmosphere are absolutely stunning and the service was quality and attentive. But the food was underwhelming, especially for the price.

Amazing food and service we dined there 3 times will in Playa because the food and service was divine

Escogimos el lugar para celebrar nuestro aniversario de boda, motivo al parecer indiferente para el restaurante. En otros resutanrentes nos han reconocido el detalle de escogerlos para festejar y nos hacen sentir más especial la ocasion.

Buena comida y muy buen servicio los precios muy altos lo que hace que el lugar sea un poco más exclusivo o bien menos visitado
