   Superb food but the portion sizes were very small considering the prices being charged. The steak was very thin, the helping of hake was very small and the risotto serving was more the size of an appetiser. The vegetable servings were minuscule. All in all, it was a real pity considering the exceptional quality of the cooking and the food.

   Hot food mostly good but lukewarm/cold served on cold plates. Desserts particularly good. Service mostly good but table cleaning on next table while we were still eating which was unnecessary as we were last eating that night.

   Fantastic food and experience. Excellent service. So kind and understanding towards our 2 year old and provided a high chair and kids utensils. Quiet cute restaurant.

   Excellent food and service. Portions just about adequate relative to cost. Monkfish definitely overpriced for the amount served on plate. Overall a very pleasant and enjoyable culinary experience!

   A great Dingle dining experience that has remained consistent through many years. Excellent fresh seafood and a considered and fairly priced wine list. Highly recommended 👏

   From my memory of growing up in the area, Half Door was always such a reputable restaurant that was always a treat with exceptional food and service. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed with our experience this weekend. We didn't get to sit for our 8pm booking until 8.50pm... Our table wasn't set properly, having to ask for glasses, cutlery, napkins, etc. There were also napkins left on the floor from the previous booking. They got our order wrong. The manager on duty apologised and told us our drinks were complimentary - when we got our bill, they were not.... I didn't even dispute it at that stage. I really hope this was just a blip or a result of a staffing issue, but I don't know if I will be going back to find out. It honestly just felt like we paid over 300euro to be put in a bad mood.

   My wife and I ate there on 30th December and availed of the early bird dinner menu (3 courses for €45 I believe). We loved the starters (caeser salad - DELISH! and mushroom and bacon gratin), the main dishes were a sizeable portion (butternut squash risotto and wild fish of the day) followed by lovely desserts (vanilla caramel creme brulee and orange panna cotta). My wife appreciated the N/A drink options. And all the staff were lovely and very attentive. We will definitely return when we come back to Dingle.
