Pit stop on the way to Florida for lunch. We had two toddlers and two tennagers, plus two couples. We had to wait for a table, which was fine, then they seated us in a private room, which was great! However the food was mediocre.

It was Saturday night, the hotel was packed but the restaurant had very few people. They had a limited menu and one waiter for the entire place. The service was poor because he could not keep up.

Service impeccable , food was really good from seafood, to filet to kids meal. Highly recommend the Harbor Room at the Renaissance Riverview in downtown Mobile. Upscale , delicious and fast.

It was during Mardi Gras but did not seem all that busy. Our server was nice enough but our drink orders were not filled correctly (both rounds) - which may have been the bartender - so not sure which end was the problem. The food was horrible - it almost seemed like the plates were prepared in advance and had been sitting in the kitchen all day - and then just reheated. The filet I ordered looked and tasted like it had been run over by a parade float and the vegetables were limp and tasteless. There were 8 people in our party and no one finished their meal. This restaurant was not inexpensive so I would have expected better. Will not be returning.

We were pleasantly surprised to find this gem in the hotel. The seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked. Don't be turned off just because it is "hotel" dining.

Enjoyed a great dinner and the service from Brent. Had the Fish Oscar and Stuffed Trout; both were very good. Try the berries and cream for dessert - Yum!
