My friend and I met here for afternoon tea. We hadn't seen each other for a couple of years because of Covid so it was a special occasion. Our afternoon tea was a bit disappointing, especially the sandwiches. My friend is vegetarian but the options offered to him were very limited. However, when we brought this to the attention of the serving staff, they did bring extra portions, plus a comp glass of Prosecco!
The scones and cakes were very nice, sandwiches were very poor quality, processed ham and cheese, a scraping of egg mayonnaise, , the quiche was nice, we enjoyed our mocktails
The afternoon tea was set up in the area just behind checkin, so was very open to public watching us eat. Service was slow and no one offered us more tea. Proved very difficult to track down a member of staff to take out money, went to reception to be told they would find someone who eventually arrived. Not good.
Overall quite disappointing
The afternoon tea was overpriced the bread was hard and some had no fillings
I will never be back
Staff were amazing so friendly and helpful without asking too much. Food was amazing and the atmosphere was lovely. Could have sat there all day drinking tea and eating mini cakes. Would definitely recommend and great value for money.
Overall enjoyed the tea but was very disappointed with the sandwiches. Cheese and ham wasn't what we expected. Very poor. In all they tasted like they had been in the fridge, left out and then served. There was a tiny amt of egg mayo etc. The scones were fine and the cakes were lovely. Service was good but dissaponted overall Surprised for a 4 star. It was our wedding anniversary
Price for afternoon tea for children is ridiculous. They’re charged the same as adults and everyone knows they don’t eat adult portions. Inquired about it but simply told they pay the same as adults. Waited 30+ minutes for the afternoon tea to come out … very slow very pricey
