My husband and I had a memorable dinner on Thursday. Each course was uniquely delicious without exception. We felt the lamb combination with the Indian flavours was especially outstanding. There was a mix-up on the bill and the staff thought that we had ordered the Premium wines which we hadn't. I think this might have been because we were served the Rose' from Greece by mistake which we only realised when we got home, when we were looking at the menu. The Rose was delicious by the way. The other wines were the Tasting wines and were correct. We will return to The Harrow and will anticipate another superb dinner.

A beautiful gem hidden in a quiet village street in the Wiltshire countryside. A calm, quiet ambience once inside. A huge, varied wine list to suit any palate with knowledgeable staff to advise you. Menu options all sounded amazing. We went for the vegetarian gourmet menu, but with the helpfulness of the staff, we could swap any ingredients in or out according to our diet/lifestyle, so it’s easily adapted to Vegan, Coeliac etc. We were told to allow three hours for the 8-courses and it was spot on. No rushing through the food and the table is yours for the night. Each food course was well thought out and presented and the attention to combination of flavours, was excellent. This was our first visit here and although it’s expensive, I would definitely return for a special occasion.

Absolutely fabulous! This was our 3rd trip to sample The Harrow’s 6 course tasting menu which didn’t disappoint! I’m still smiling as I think about it...... I definitely recommend the wine flight and also the cheese course. It’s good to share this if you’re feeling a bit full. My partner reckons the venison main was the best main course he’s ever had and he’s had a few!
As usual the service was superb and we’ll be back.

Never been to The Harrow before. Booked on reputation. What a little gem. I eat out in London often, frequently at Michelin stared restaurants. The Harrow was brilliant. Fantastic food. Really helpful service and a magnificent wine list. Loved every course of the 6 course tasting menu.

Absolutely wonderful!!!

The food was excellent, my only concern was whether the Pinot Noir in the wine flight went with the Turbot. On the whole a first class meal

Parking is an issue here being on a country lane firstly & being told our parking is opp in the hedge ! Not where you want to be parking a nice car! However there was no where else so had no option , seeing there was only us & another couple dining that lunch time wasn’t as if it was busy with cars from diners!
Welcome was very professional & shown to table nicely presented ,
Lots of menu choice & prices .
Ambiance isn’t what we are used to in a Michelin establishment though although nicely & simply decorated felt very cold & music was more like a gastro pub we felt maybe if a little jazz was in the background would warm the ambiance .
Food was outstanding though amazing flavours & unusual ideas , the “boiled egg” was out of this world!!
For the price we paid for lunch on overall experience I have to say we’ve spent better in other Michelin restaurants sadly but it’s one off our bucket list

There were some details we were not too happy with, but also some gems, like the "boiled egg with soldier" the main dessert was spoiled by far too salty caramel ice cream.
Not at all keen on the music.
Probably won't go again, definitely not "blown away"

We had a delicious lunch here, where the highlight was the sea bream sashimi with cucumber and wasabi sorbet. There is a formal dining atmosphere, but we didn't find it pretentious. The staff are knowledgeable and welcoming.

We had a wonderful lunch to celebrate our anniversary. The 8 course tasting menu was delicious. Each course was fresh and had the perfect balance of flavours. The wine to accompany the menu was well chosen and introduced confidently by the waiting staff. They met our dietary requirements with no hesitation. Excellent attention to detail.

This is a difficult review to write since we’ve eaten here on several occasions. As usual, the service was impeccable, with nothing too much trouble and service never visible (but ever present). The quality of the ingredients could not be faulted.

We took the 8 course tasting menu, albeit that certain of the courses were swapped to accommodate food dislikes.

However, overall, the balance of many of these dishes was not right. Delicate lobster with over-powering onion bhaji, hogget with a couscous that gave an overall sensation of desert-like dryness, a [substituted] cold and insipid consommé with balls of carrot and cucumber served with a drowned goat cheese crisp (which really wasn’t pleasant). Even the signature “Egg” did not seem up to its usual standard. Many of the courses seemed to be not one dish, but a mix of two that resulted in a loss of direction and strange taste combinations. This all just points to over-working and form over substance. Disappointing!

Given the fantastic menus, experiences and dishes that we had previously at The Harrow, we were very disappointed and will struggle to return anytime soon. The food should really have been much better for an expensive top-end restaurant.

Somewhat out in the sticks so some planning required to get there and back. It’s a Michelin Star restaurant so you expect top quality food and service. The food was good although not outstanding. I would give the service 10/10 very knowledgeable staff, great wine knowledge and communication skills. The timings of each course were perfect. The Coravin wine pairing couldn’t be faulted. The decor, carpet could do with an upgrade, it’s looking quite dated, particularly when you’re paying £225 per head.

This was a perfect birthday present treat. Welcomed graciously at the door and shown to our table where the service was perfectly given throughout. Naturally the food was fantastic and beautifully presented. We loved the boiled egg and solder. The dessert was to die for and although the previous courses were not huge (and not expected to be) when the dessert arrived it felt enormous! A taste of every type of lemon dish imaginable. I just love this type of thing and if I could afford to I would bring all my friends too! They do know how to behave!
The waiting staff knew all the answers to questions about the wine and food.
Altogether we totally enjoyed the whole experience.

I've lost count of the number of times that we have dined at The Harrow, each has been a delight of flavours, impeccable knowledgeable service and remarkable value for fine dining. This occasion was no exception : a five course fish dinner with matching wines. Thank you Sue and Roger : we are looking forward eagerly to our next visit.

Always a stunning culinary experience going to The Harrow!! Exquisite food served by knowledgable staff in a classy but not overbearing environment. We had the added bonus of a glorious early spring day walking in the local area before we enjoyed our wonderful meal. Such a pretty corner of countryside. This is one of my absolute favourite places to dine!!

We had the tasting menu for 4 people to celebrate a birthday (31 3 18)
The service and attention to detail were exceptional. The food was excellent particuarly the starters and main courses . Dessert was in the shade compared to the other courses, good but 4 different small tasters which had no outstanding qualities and the range of flavours was a little bland. That is being fair but constructively critical I think.
Prices fair for this very high level.
Would we go again and recommend?
Yes we would!

Overall a lovely experience. The menu is inventive with the quality of ingredients and cooking really evident. Great attention to detail really shows in the overall ambience of the place, and the knowledgeable and attentive serving team really add to the experience. Loved touches like the fact that they had selected different ingredients and typed me a separate version of the tasting menu, having told them in advance that I am allergic to shellfish.

I have to confess to being a little disappointed. I expected more from a Michelin starred restaurant (possibly too much). The lunch menu was good and well presented but not exceptional. There weren't any dishes where I relished every mouthful, no taste combinations that I will remember. This restaurant won't make it into my personal Top 10; I've had more memorable meals in other places. Sorry, guys.

I met up with an old University friend here for lunch. It was half-way between where we both lived, neither of us had been before so we did not know what to expect.

The ‘set’ five course lunch looked great - but better than that, you could swap items from the evening set courses so actually there was a reasonable choice. I went for the - ‘Fresh Torbay Crab, Lobster Mousse, Watermelon & Cucumber’ starter followed by ‘Scottish Venison, Indian Spices, Turks Dhal’ for my main. My companion stuck to the original set lunch and we both opted for the premium wines to accompany our chosen dishes and also ‘opted in’ for the cheese platter.

I have dined at most of the famous restaurants in England from Gordon Ramsey’s in Hospital road to ‘Le Manoir’ and have to say that the food was as good as this very high standard.

Each dish was immaculately presented, outstanding in taste, very ‘clean’ on the palate and the flavours complemented well.
The wines also complemented the dishes nicely and were all wines I have never had before (I am an extensive drinker of wine). The service was perfect in not being overly attentive but there when needed.

The ambiance was quiet (until we arrived!) and the seating layout was nicely spacious - which is something I like about a good/great restaurant.

The fact that I have taken the time to write a lengthy review says it all, as I have never done this before!!

Finally if I am remotely close to here again , ‘I will be back’.
