Christmas Eve dinner with my husband & 2 children. We had a delicious meal, lovely atmosphere & really well done in tough times. The Haywain is always great value for excellent food.

Brilliant little pub, lovely food, great atmosphere, perfect for family meals and romantic nights out! Would highly recommend.

Well what can I say - in the current climate - Service was amazing - the Covid friendly layout was exceptional -Food was very hot and well cooked and presented - lovely chilled afternoon - recently moved to the area so will be back for sure when this madness is over

We had to return here for our wedding anniversary, we weren't disappointed the food was wonderful as was the lovely lady who served us. They gave us a table near a open fire Very good covid-19 precautions in place making us feel safe

Another great lunch at The Haywain. Such friendly and helpful staff and fabulous food. Whatever you choose from the menu you are never disappointed. I can’t fault them, which is why we keep returning.

One of the best roast dinners I’ve ever had!! Will defiantly be making regular visits to this pub.

Cod n chips I think they were frozen chips and the fish batter was over cooked.
I think even although it was a sunny day
It needs some ambient lighting.

It was nice for 6 friends to get together in their village pub. We had a lovely meal and were well looked after by the Haywain team.

Social distancing measures were excellent but at the cost of atmosphere. The usually extensive , creative menu was very restricted and we found it difficult to find creative choices. We felt rushed to order and leave and by 9:30 felt we had to leave because we were the last ones in and the pub was silent. It felt like staff were waiting for us to leave so they could finish up for the night. Food was ok but the flat iron steak was predictably very chewy and disappointing.
We love the Haywain, we know you are trying your best in difficult circumstances but hopefully you will find this helpful for future development of your business in these difficult times.

Brilliant breakfast, friendly service and nice environment. Still getting used to the new measures put in place due to COVID - but as a first venture out since lockdown, it was a good one.

Having visited The Haywain many times before Covid-19 we decided to try their breakfast as a treat as soon as they opened. We been twice now and both the service and food - we had the waffles and what other places rather pretentiously call Eggs Benedict (poached eggs, bacon (or smoked salmon) with hollandaise sauce on a waffle followed by another waffle with maple syrup. All served pretty promptly, with good humour and great taste!
Definitely recommended.
