The High Field
We serve food all day, along with quality draught beers, ale on hand pumps, plus a carefully chosen wine list with quality-variety value. Stay with us, just next door at The High Field Town House, or book The Studio for your next party, celebration or meeting.
We visited The Highfield with friends who hadn't been before they weren't disappointed. Food was excellent and service too. Cant wait to return.
Moules frites were amazingly delicious!
When we arrived for our lunch reservation and mentioned the fact that we had booked through "open table" and we enquirer about the current special offer, we were received welcomely.
The staff were all friendly and yet unobtrusive. The standard of the food was very, very good- as we have experienced before.
The meal was a wonderful celebration of 9 years of marriage- thank you.
We enjoyed our meal but the management had no clue about the 20% discount which we were offered when booking on Opentable. They were very good and honoured the discount.
Always a pleasure to visit.
Food good. Service excellent
Head and shoulders the best
I took my son for lumch and we had a great time. I am vegetarian and there wasn’t much selection for true veggies but the choice I had was very tasty! A roasted caluliflower heart with Harisa paste -delicious!
A beautiful sunny day and all the doors to the garden were open which was lovely
Great Sunday evening dinner, in a relaxed atmosphere. Always feel very relaxed when eating here. Lovely dinner.
Really good Sunday lunch! Love the fact that they bring extra potatoes and Yorkshire’s round if you want them and give you a pot of gravy!
Really buzzy gastro pub, beautiful decor, lovely garden, live music.
Staff were also awesome - service was slick and friendly, not at the bar and at the table.
Lovely menu, everything we had was executed well. Special mention for the crab and avocado tart - with perfect poached egg on top.
Can’t really fault it. Would definitely go back, as I am often in Birmingham on business
It has a boutique hotel attached and that may also be worth a try!
Best Sunday lunch in Birmingham. If we get a good summer I intend to spend time in the beautiful beer garden.
First time here. Last minute decision to go out midweek. Full marks all for each of ambience, food and service.
Fantastic service during Sunday lunch for birthday celebrations. Staff were accommodating of the children in our party too.
Food and service were amazing
Eaten here a number of times now, and I’ve always been impressed with the service and standard of the food.
Yesterday, unfortunately this didn’t live up to its normal standards.
The Leg of Lamb was tough as old boots, and when I complained I was offered a steak knife 😂😂😂😂. The Beef was also cold and Roasters undercooked !
I’ll be giving the Highfield another chance, as the food is normally excellent, but unfortunately yesterday was a disappointment
Food not up to usual standard. Pork rather tasteless. And crumble just mush. I usually give 5 stars. Will not put me off returning. Usual standard excellent. Both for small and large dining parities. Staff friendly and efficient
Again a superb Sunday lunch with great service. This place is especially nice on a sunny day.
Always a pleasure to have a family Sunday lunch at the High Field
Always guarantee this restaurant - never fails to deliver
just recently we have started to have Sunday lunches out at pubs. This is my absolute favourite. Good size portions - wonderful meat and if you are still hungry they bring round extra potatoes and Yorkshire puddings. Although I have never taken them up on this offer as I save room for one of their wonderful puddings. (the banana cheesecake is amazing) Next time I havei t I will not let me husband share!!
Lovely setting and tasty food but very noisy being sat at a table right next to the bar with a very rowdy group. Staff very helpful and attentive.
Excellent service and great food. Staff couldn’t have done anymore to make it an enjoyable experience.
Food was ok. Service great.
Lovely food and atmosphere
We had a really enjoyable evening entertaining friends. We will all definitely be returning.
Always consistently great. Good food. Nice surroundings. Does what it says on the tin.
Great food, great service , faultless !!
Joe 2 was our waiter he was attentive efficient and friendly. Food was excellent we will definitely be back.
The staff was very attentive however the food came out lukewarm.
Food was nice think drinks are overpriced though
Excellent food as always! Will definitely be coming back soon
Attended for Sunday Lunch.
Steak special recommended was cooked beautifully, the cut of the meat was poor quality. Hard to chew, bland. Nothing much that the staff could do, but they offered to check in with their suppliers. Vegetarian board sharing starter was tasty. Duck main was tasty. Organic Rioja was tasty. Just a bit disappointing with the steak.
Great food and service. The food portions were just right and we left feeling full and content.
Great food, lovely atmosphere, never disappoints! Staff very attentive.
I suggested that my team go here for our Christmas lunch as I have had some lovely breakfasts and lunches here before, but I was disappointed. One person's starter was late/forgotten, two of the mains weren't as ordered (one had requested no rocket, the other rare neither was the case) and then there was a hair in the dessert. It was such a shame as the cocktails and ambience were lovely, the service and welcome good and the place overall is one of the nicest. They did give us a glass of prosecco as an apology, which was a nice touch, but I was still a bit embarrassed having suggested it and it not being really what you'd hope for a circa £300 lunch. I'm hoping it was just due to it being the busy Christmas season, I will likely go back and try it again but I wouldn't recommend it before I've checked.
Dined off the Christmas menu which was excellent, very tasty and very good value for money. Lots of diners all having a good time, the atmosphere was fun and festive. Would highly recommend for a Christmas treat.
Great food, loved the cheese selection on the dessert menu. There were a couple of issues with service, our mains arrived before our starters were cleared and drinks were slow to arrive, but otherwise a great option for a lovely meal in a great atmosphere.
Always a favourite lunch venue. Delicious free range meats; and a great menu. The staff are excellent and have commitment to their customers.
Service was poor
They had run out of items on the menu
All in all poor quality of food
