Located in the heart of Lymington, The Highstreet Kitchen offers a relaxed dining experience focusing primarily on local sustainable food, working with dedicated local farmers and producers. The restaurant has been a dream for Gavin Barnes for over a decade and it has now become a shared vision for the whole team.

    The food was excellent we booked last minute for Sunday lunch. The lunch was excellent beautifully cooked with plenty of veg! Price Options for 1,2 or 3 courses. Would love to come again and definitely recommend. Great staff too.

    A great local friendly chef owner restaurant. The food was delicious, well cooked and tasty. Very friendly service though a little haphazard at times. In our opinion best british restaurant in Lymington.

    Lovely sunday lunch, my friends said the beef was excellent. My fish was good too. All veg tasty, especially cauliflower cheese. Will come again. Best sunday lunch in ages! Thank you.

    Very pleasant setting, nicely laid out welcoming and pleasing ambience. I appreciate ithat cooking rach individually takes quite a while but the wait for food was very very lengthy The starter was okay but fairly tasteless and the main course of rib of beef was acceptable. A very generous portion of rib of beef and beautifully cooked extremely tasty with a good jus, carrots, large and lumpy and overcooked and the cabbage strangely presented and cold. The wine, was good but very expensive Taking so long to get to the end of our main course, we decided not to stop for dessert or coffee

    Third visit. Lovely atmosphere, decor and lighting, staff very friendly and personable Food was pretty good, but service very slow, we were offered free carrots as an apology! Will return hoping for faster service next time.

    We really enjoyed our meal at the high street kitchen- such reasonable value for what was great food! Had a beetroot and goats cheese starter which was gorgeous and to e ribeye steak for main, which was cooked perfectly. Portions are very decent- we were very full. Would recommend and will come back!

    Excellent food and service. We had the scallops and beetroot/ goats cheese starters. Both of us had the ribeye steak. Beautifully cooked to medium and well rested. Thoroughly recommend. Wish we lived locally to frequent more often.
