The Highway Inn is set in the middle of the bustling village of Burford. We are a true Cotswold Pub, where locals and visitors come to mingle. Our rooms are very characterful with creaky floorboards, sloping floors and some antique pieces.

The Highway has a proper Cotswold pub feel, not only serving excellent local produce, we also offer well-conditioned ales that come from local breweries, for example: Hook Norton Brewery and the Cotswold Brewing Company.

We have a number of dining areas, the Main bar, the Main restaurant, our Intimate Snug, and our Private cellar dining room for celebrations and corporate entertaining.

In Summer time we also serve food outside, where you can either watch the world go by in the High Street or in our sunny, restored medieval courtyard

Food ok, nothing amazing. Service annoying, 2 people repeating everything. Service charge really annoying. I saw nothing clearly stated on the menu that I would be charged 10%.

Service and food were both excellent. My wife had chefs steak, I had lemon sole both were cooked perfectly. An excellent choice for a special occasion meal.

Excellent unpretentious lunch menu, locally sourced and reasonably priced plus very good local beer and cider. We sat at a pavement table happily watching the world go by.

Decided to try a new local pub for Sunday lunch and booked here on the back of the Tripadvisor ratings. We weren't disappointed. We were greeted by a friendly member of staff who let us change from the dining room to sitting outside at the front as it was a beautiful day. Only two roast beef left (and it was only 1.45) so we had these. The food was presented and very tasty, rare roast beef and lovely fresh vegetables. We also had dessert which again was very nice. We'll return for definite!

Our meal was expensive and rushed by staff. Quality was good but small portion size.

Nice little pub on the high street. Has a lovely sunny courtyard but was too hot for our friends so we sat outside by the road. This was fun for people watching but a bit noisy with large lorries passing. I would recommend the courtyard or eating inside!

Service was very good but food was not good. Would not go back unless I heard the chef had changed. Shame - nice venue and staff.
