Lovely choice of food. Great service. Can’t wait till next time
Had two very nice meals here. Friendly helpful staff. Food was served very nicely and tasted good as well. Good value for money and a varied menu with a specials board.
Absolutely lovely staff! Food was good maybe a little better for one of my party need to stop using the microwave on the nachos They go Soggy
We left it late for a Sunday and so missed the cavern. The main menu was still available and the steak and scampi dishes were as good as ever.
Carvery ok but was informed there was a limit of only 5 small roast potatoes and no stuffing.
Beautiful town public house , booked up to have late lunch with family and the food was wonderful , staff ( only tow working ) were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us , great place and great find ,
Sticky table. Very slow service, had to ask for food after our food turned up and food really wasn’t very nice.
Excellent food quick service could have been better with the option of a quieter table
Absolutely fantastic thanks staff were great, food was good hot and really good
Upon arrival we were advised that there could be a delay with our food due to other big orders etc, but the staff kept us advised and ensured we had drinks etc.
Lovely food, well worth the short wait.
Lovely venue, look forward to going back again.
Really friendly staff and the food was excellent with a great vegetarian choice available.
Great value for money food and brillant service. Will be returning !
The Sunday carvery was very good everything well cooked, staff very busy and sometimes had to wait for service but would defiantly recommend.
Fantastic service and a great Sunday roast! Yummy!
The place was quite busy and the staff said our order may be a while.
The wait wasn't long and the staff were very friendly.
I don’t usually write reviews but sadly our overall experience was very poor. Whilst we would not normally mind waiting if the ambiance was welcoming but unfortunately this was not the case and the pub is in need of some tender loving care. The toilets were the worst I have been in, with dirty water on the floor of the cubicle and a dirty mop bucket in the way and all interior needing modernising and decorating and the very least as deep clean. Not inspiring before your meal. The food was
Table was booked for 6.30pm, arrived at 6.20pm taken to table and ordered drinks.
Gave meal orders @ 7pm and that was the last time anyone came to our table.
We went and ordered our own drinks at the bar😞
We had our 3 year old granddaughter with us hence why we booked early and at 8pm had to ask could we have her food which arrived at 8.15pm because she was starving.
Our meals arrived at 8.45pm by which time we were all starving and I myself had gone past it and didn’t finish my meal.
To top it all a couple came in at 7.30pm and their meals were served at 8.15pm which was very annoying, considering we had been there since 6.20pm.
All good. Lovely staff, great place, good food. If the beer could be a bit cheaper, we would go in there more often :-). Thank you
We have eaten here a few times as we are local. On this occasion the gammon steak, chicken burger and sirloin steak were all good.
Lovely food. Lovely ambiance. Very good value for money :-)
Carvery was excellent we had one small portion which was big. The adult portion was huge, we didn't have go for super size. Can only image its massive. One of party had a burger which again was large. The desserts were lovely and big. We enjoyed our food. The Highwayman is children and dog friendly. Have been there a few times and always enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
Big portions so great if very hungry. Food was great would definitely recommend
Lovely food and excellent service. Great menu choice and vegetarian options.
Went for a Sunday Carvery and was not disappointed with the food and excellent service.
The staff were excellent. Friendly and welcoming. The food was outstanding .
Our German shepherd was made very welcome too. Highly recommend this wonderful establishment. If only it were my local. But traveling from the west mids might be a bit much.
Well done highwayman team
Finally made it for the Sunday Carvery.
It was very good: hot, fresh, selection of meat and a great variety of vegetables. Good value for money.
Very nice food but could have been a bit warmer. Good portions and a good variety of veg.
Was a nice atmosphere, and carvery was lovely.
All was perfect the service, the food was excellent and the weather was good. The food portions are very good. We had Hunters Chicken, Mediterranean pizza, beef burgers, ham egg and chips and Lasagne and chips. All was good.
Helpful staff, good atmosphere, very welcoming. Lots of parking, easy to find.
Very nice . Great food good service. Tasty food.
Good food when it eventually arrived. Very disorganised staff did not deal with customers in order. They did not follow up on more drinks. We left without having a dessert after it taking that long to get a drink and a main course.
Excellent Staff. Can't fault them.
Food is mainly with chips. Items on specials board tend to run out.
Portions are generous. Meat loaf and meat balls a little heavy on herbs but clearly home made.
Food is hot.
Overall this is a local pub with menu and ambience to match. Not for those looking for a restaurant experience.
It suited me well and I went there 3 times in a week.
Really tasty food and the wait staff were really friendly. A little run down inside and the dining area is pretty cramped but the food and friendlyness makes up for it! Food is also decently priced, better value than some other places nearby that didn't have such tasty food.
Quite crowded. Tables in small dining room crammed in.
Really lovely local pub. Great food, kind staff and a good ambience.
Will definitely return here.
Good quality pub fare in a small village pub. Nice outdoor seating area. Plenty of parking and good range of ales.
Very tasty meal, good service friendly staff.
Food ok. Place a bit worn for wear. Toilets (ladies) needs a very good clean.
Nothing special to write home about.
Good value for money Carvery, nice pub, staff attentive and polite if you go there you wont be dissapointed we will be checking out the band nights soon 😁😁
