My daughter had the Halloumi burger, she absolutely loved it. I had the double beef burger and I have to say it was the tastiest burger I’ve ever had.
Would definitely go back again soon
Pub is really nice sun was out so we booked a table outside at 7.30pm we thought it would be nice. But it was like being in the middle of a playground kids running around while parents sat inside surprised the glass pod you can sit in was not broke with the kids playing in it and climbing over the table staff not bothered.
Food and desserts very nice
Everyone should have a cheese burger 🍔!
Very enjoyable, good food and nice and quiet but nice atmosphere.
Very good service. They even jazzed up the ice-cream for my grandma's birthday dessert without us even asking. Very thoughtful and kind hearted staff. Thank you for making the birthday memorable.
Very pleasant evening in a lovely pub restaurant. This was our second visit and again th standard of food was very good. The garlic prawns and smoked salmon starter were particularly good and the main course fish was excellent. We were too full for deserts but the sweet menu did look very enticing. The staff were very friendly and helpful and service was good. I would recommend this restaurant and we will definitely revisit in the near future. Well done to all the team
Not a lot of choice for a hot summer’s day, but the staff rustled up a ploughman’s. Quite nice but I do like tomatoes with my salad! Staff looked a lot smarter than last time, I like the shirts.
We though for what we had, the food was overpriced , but the staff were lovely
Service was very impressive. Very attentive and very pleasant staff . Lovely surroundings and great outdoor dining space too. Food fresh and tasty. Will be back !
My friend and I visited the Holly Bush for the first time.
The food was delicious, the service was friendly and excellent and the place was spotlessly clean.
We had a really enjoyable lunch to celebrate our birthdays. We will definitely be visiting again with our families and friends and wholeheartedly recommending the Holly Bush to them.
Beautiful restaurant, friendly helpful staff. Goody bags for kids which were a lovely surprise. Food was beautiful with generous portion sizes. The only tiny ask would be for more gravy included with meal as the jugs given wasn't quite enough for us all. Overall it was great.
A most enjoyable dining experience. Food very good and service most attentive.
Lovely food, as normal. Disappointed no roast lamb on menu
Food we had was poor
Gammon tasted dirty
Pointless skinny chips
Side of water crest no salad
Upside onion rings are very good
Monkfish scampi, definitely not scampi batter under cooked
I can get gammon in another pub with a salad and real chips for less
Will not be returning. Shame a few years ago it was a top notch pub
my nephew who lived in America for 20 years has said they were the best buffalo wings he has had since coming back to UK. I rave about the halumi fries. Vegetarian meals too were very good
The service was excellent, frequent visits to the table to see if we needed more drinks or anything else. Food was outstanding, and very good value, we definatly go back again
Flawless, everything we could ask for - great food, service and ambience
Generally a good experience but the noise levels increased, fortunately not too bad. The food was well presented and delicious but the menu is not as good as pre-pandemic and I understand why, but do hope that it won’t be too long before it goes back to the previous excellent menus. The staff were as pleasant, helpful and efficient as always, and did not hesitate to move our table when they overheard us talking about being cold in the original position!
We went to see a live singer - she was good. However, we were given the option of sitting outside in the marque where the singer was, or inside where we could hear, but not see, the singer. We were assured that the marque had "a big heater" so we wouldn't be cold. We were there for nearly 2 hours in which time the smallish electric fan heater was on for 5 minutes twice - it was very cold.
We had sharer nachos to start - they were very good indeed.
We had fish cakes for main, they were OK, but nothing special. I asked if they came with veg and was told they came with " a good salad", in fact, they came with some baby lettuce and nothing else. Disappointing.
To be fair, the beer was pretty good.
Overall, disappointing and won't be going back.
Thanks for spending the time to leave a review, sorry you was disappointed. It's actually a real shame you have chosen not to come back just because you was cold and wanted more salad. Had you actually said something at the time we may have offered to do something about it, instead of letting you leave feeling disappointed. As for the big industrial heater that is pipped into the marquee, the thermostat was set to 25C, sorry this was not warm enough for you unlike the other 30 people in there.
Gorgeous food, huge portions.
Husband is gluten free and he was very impressed with the selection and good quality of homemade bread rolls.
Lunch for 4 of us on Wednesday. Efficient and friendly service. We all enjoyed our food. Henley Pale Ale was very good but the HBO bitter was not particularly pleasant in our opinion
friendly staff, accommodated our needs, food lovely and good value
Fantastic meal for father day, the service was fantastic, the children were given a bag of entertainment, which was really cute.
Very enjoyable afternoon at the Holly Bush for Fathers day staff very friendly
Enjoyed our Fathers Day meal.
Polite, friendly staff who were always on hand
Will definitely be returning
Treated Dad for Father's Day.
The 4 of had the roast dinners, 1 pork and 3 beef. Each meal was delicious and cooked perfectly.
Service was great, staff are all very friendly especially from the brother who was helping out for the day.
We'll definitely be back again soon!!
Food was good, nice Sunday lunch, and service was friendly and responsive once the initial waitress was replaced. It was slightly expensive compared to other pubs but would return.
Fab service, very attentive. Great with our son too.
Thoroughly enjoyable evening, staff were attentive.
Lovely atmosphere and good selection of food . No loud music and polite staff
Lovely place, welcoming, great menu and great food.
enjoyed the evening and the venue has just been completely refurbished so the experience is one we will be repeating soon
The Holly Bush is one of the best places to meet, eat and drink in the area. We thoroughly recommend a visit.
Our party of four enjoyed a lovely lunch. The menu choice was very good and the food was really tasty. Service was excellent though a little slow. The waitress was very patient, bearing in mind one of our guests needed a gluten and dairy free meal. She made a couple of trips to the kitchen to check with the chef and was helpful and friendly throughout. Would recommend.
Enjoyable early evening meal with very helpful staff. Food as usual was very good and the beers on offer was good. Most enjoyable evening.
Pie ordered pastry hard but neat tasty
We enjoyed a very pleasant evening at the Holly Bush with excellent food and friendly staff
Lovely food - manager goes out of his way to accommodate- asked for fish menu and didn’t want a ‘whole’ fish - waitress checked with chef who was happy to fillet - beautiful fresh food and lovely decor - smiley courteous staff.
Great bistro pub, with a menu stuffed with local produce, very attentive staff and a lovely atmosphere. Children’s menu is great - really decent food not deep fried junk. Highly recommend
Lovely food, friendly service all 5 thoroughly enjoyed it!
