We have two comfortable and modern spaces for dining and a large bar area for drinking.     Warm welcome at bar . Table was ready . Cheery friendly staff who were helpful and prompt . Food was delicious , we each had a roast with a side order of caulicheese. Presentation was excellent, taste was excellent . Only very minor issue was the stuffing for chicken was too salty for me and there was no cranberry sauce . The Quality of the meat was extremely good . Puddings were excellent too. Highly recommend a visit

    Had midweek lunches here on a few occasions in the past year and have always enjoyed tasty home cooked food. Sunday lunch was much busier, the restaurant was full, but service and food were really good. Excellent Roasts! Would recommend! A good choice of craft beers on tap too!

    The food was very nice it was hot and freshly cooked it said seasonl veg but all I had was red cabbage. But it was fine the cheese cake was nice not home made but still nice. The burgers look like the things to have all really good value for money and very filling.

    Lovely Sunday roast. Very busy but service still great. Had a table slightly away from the main part of restaurant which helped with hearing for the oldies with hearing aids! All enjoyed!

    I had requested wheelchair-accessible table, usually this is in the dining area. We were shown a table immediately in front of the bar. This would have been awkward so we were moved by staff to the dining area which also meant I could access the disabled loo. However, I don't think I should have needed to ask for the dog's bed to be removed from in front of the loo door when I needed it. That said, the menu, food itself, drinks were usual excellent standard. I just think the ambience was lacking yesterday.

    Excellent Sunday roast - not the largest of portions but the quality and flavours were superb. Everyone commented on the gravy - certainly wasn't your bog standard Bisto!

    Fantastic food everytime I visit . Took family for evenning meal 8 of us . We all had steak pie it was beautiful . Service was very good . Top quality food and top quality drinks . Welldone Holybush another delightfull evenning in the best Pub in the area .

    We loved the new menu. Our party had a mixture of sausages and pie and all were excellent. We'll be back to try the other new meals on the menu. Service was very attentive as always and the staff went beyond to accommodate our wheelchair user. Thank you to all concerned.

    We appreciate the call from James prior to our booking to advise us that the carpark was out of use. It would have been good to have somewhere to hang my long coat in the restaurant instead of it dragging on the floor when in the back of my chair. There is a space to put a few hooks up. The welcome we received was friendly. The food was delicious and portions perfect for a small plate at lunch time. Presentation was beautiful. Would definitely return

    Went for Sunday dinner and was disappointed. Roasties under cooked, stuffing was gross, gravey was brown water, not much vegetables and very little meat which tasted like school dinner meat anyway. Yorkshire were very nice though. Service was a little slow but the staff were absolutely lovely, young but very polite and friendly and I can't fault them. 2 of my kids had burgers and they loved them. Felt the cheesecake is very over priced. I would go back again but not on a Sunday

    I went to the Hollybush for a catch-up lunch with a friend - we ordered from the "Small Dishes" part of the menu and both of us chose the sourdough flatbread - mine with the cod and my friend's with hummus and sweet potato - they were both extremely tasting and excellent value for money. My friend also chose a cheesecake dessert which was very generous and also very delicious. The service we received was excellent, and we would gladly return again.

    I have been a fairly regular lunchtime visitor over the last few months and previously felt that the food was excellent and the portions represented good value for money. Last week however, I was quite disappointed, mainly because the small portions. My favourite, small ham egg a chips was just that, as the quantity of ham was less than half compared to normal. Not only that, the chips seemed not freshly cooked, being hard and not as crispy as usual. Our favourite sweet that always appears on the specials board is cheese cake, served with a variety of fruit flavours. Last week it was mango, and although the quality was good, the serving was again less than half of that expected and in my opinion represented poor value for money. I am hoping this was a one-off experience and normal service will resume asap.

    Roast arrived minus cauliflower cheese, that we then requested. This was served dried up so requested another & were told it was the last of the day! Ordered two Estrella’s after our meal that were then dropped in my lap, soaking my jeans right through! I then received an insincere apology & the offer of one pint being taken off bill. We found all the waiting staff to be uninterested & lacking basic customer service.

    Staff lovely, atmosphere great, Main course Sunday lunch excellent, deserts expensive, ordered apple & rhubarb Elton mess as table behind us did & it looked excellent, the one we ordered was a good half the size of the one they had. Our table had crumbs & dust on it before we sat at it & a dog was allowed in the restaurant area due to some booking issue, not good.

    All went for the Sunday roasts. Two beef, one pork, one two meat option beef and pork. All the meats were cooked well and succulent. Veggies were good, gravy thick and full of flavour. Strawberry and white chocolate cheesecake was fabulous. Real ales are well kept and presented. Good value for price paid.

    Lovely pub, great service from start to finish. Really friendly staff who try to assist wherever they can. Food is absolutely excellent in taste, flavour and presentation. Thoroughly recommend this venue from anything from a casual drink to a special occasion. Well done.

    Popped in after a few years since last visit. Both had fish and chips. Thought smaller plates a good idea, might look better served on a smaller plate as looks sparse. Fish nothing but ok, had so much better elsewhere. Think frozen, not fresh. Chips tough.

    Usual good food and service at the Hollybush. Menu has recently been updated slightly. There is a daily specials board. Very lucky to have this as our local when we are entertaining friends
