Unfortunately not hugely impressive. Staff were nice but food was overpriced and not particularly great. No table service which seemed odd as there were a lot of staff and the place was empty. We were also charged service charge. Actual place looks good, shame about everything else. Maybe it was an off day?

Great place, good quality food, ok price for what it is and the area. Especially good for weekday brunch food. Seats not that comfy and kind of a noisy environment, don't expect to hear your tablemates easily at busy times.

Visited Wringer & Mangle for a belated Christmas girls catch up! Lovely staff- very attentive and knowledgable about menu. Excellent food- full english breakfast 5*, and unlimited Prosecco with staff filling glasses without being asked too. Great value for money and will defo be visiting again soon

I was a bit disappointed as I had heard great reviews from friends about the brunch at wringer & mangle. The food was nice but I've had better brunch's elsewhere and felt it was a bit pricey for what you actually got. The service was a bit slow but he waitress was really friendly! Has the potential to be a great place as it can accommodate a lot of people and looks great inside!

This place has such potential to be amazing and a cool 60/70's vibe...but it is not. The decor is spot on and fantastic. The cocktails very hit and miss- of our group 3 were great 2 were bad, and they shouldn't have been - who gets a margarita that wrong?? The music didn't fit the decor -80's and 90's. We had to ask for the music to be changed to the right period as it clashed so violently. Then the food. So overpriced for what it was, which is a fancy Nandos. The whole spit roast bird barely fed 2 guys. The wine list was not a price range that most want to spend in a place like that £50 for a bottle of red wine. Small portions, high prices, mediocre cocktails, and wrong music...even the decor won't get me back into this place again. I can see why it wasn't busy on a Friday night. Could be so great yet falls extremely short of the mark.

Visited on a Tuesday night and had a great time. It was quiet (which was fine by us) and we started with a couple of cocktails in the bar which were ok value and very good and followed up with dinner in the restaurant. The decor is very 60s and the small but perfectly formed menu does a nice job of mixing some retro classics (fondue anyone?) with some more modern versions. The service in both the bar and restaurant was great and I'd definitely visit again.

We got a timeout voucher to try this place and we were very happy with what we stumbled by. The food was great as we tried the cheese fondue for two and had 4 cocktails. The cocktails were brilliant and very tasty. Highly enjoyed the cocktails and the wide array of drinks available. The restaurant was a bit quiet, but I know the restaurant is relatively new. I hope that this place gets busier as the food was good and the drinks were delicious.

The decor is great, just don't look to closely - cream carpet in a bar just isn't practical! We were in on a Friday evening and there were very few people around which was a shame. They were struggling with the sound system so the volume of the DJ set was increasing and decreasing bizarrely, plus a bit of interference which was distracting for three tired girls trying to get the friday feeling going. Service was far from great - our waitress was clearly new (and un-wisely unsupervised) - didn't know the wine list (brought us the wrong bottle), when asked what the "bird of the day" was, just answered "duck" - I'm sure there was more to it than that, suffice to say we didn't order it, and then they gave us the wrong bill, which we paid, and then had to pay more, as well as the classic waitressing sins (I can say this as I was one!) of reaching over us to pour wine, asking us if we wanted salt & pepper (I'm not sure why it wasn't on the table) etc. The food was tasty enough but extremely over priced, the wine list was distinctly lacking and also grossly over priced. We won't be returning sadly, which was a shame as it's not far from home, and I had allowed myself to hope it might have been a good'un.

My friends and I really enjoyed our time at The Holy Birds. Service was impeccable, the cocktail list was amazing and I had one of the best frozen strawberry daiquiri's I've had in this country. Portion sizes are really generous and the devour is so retro it hurts. I'll definitely come again.

It is nice place with relaxing cosy atmosphere ,good for dating and having a sofisticated classical cocktail. You can read the history of origin of every drink.Queit background music helps forget about hussle and busses outside.

What a lovely surprise! It was my first time there and I will definitely be back. I tried it by day, will try it by night next time as the bar area and the room downstairs seemed very promising. The restaurant must have opened recently, it almost smelt brand new. Loved the sophisticated furniture and the way the whole place is decorated, it really seemed like we were dining in the Sixties. The retro music in the background was the cherry on top (the volume was low enough so I could conversate properly with my date). I was there for the Saturday brunch which I would definitely recommend. They also had a bottomless Babycham option which I of course took, so they kept our glasses full all the time (which was great)! Lastly, the service was really good, I felt at ease from the very beginning. In particular, the waitress serving at our table was really nice and polite (and very helpful as we kept asking for advice). Will definitely take my colleagues there for dinner + night out.

We selected this restaurant based on the information from their website which claims that they are specialist of all birds! However, when we arrived, we were given the only brunch menu with only chicken in the main dish! The waiter did not have the knowledge of the menu and even came to ask if we would like desert after we just finished the starter! A couple before us decided to leave after not satisfied with the chicken cooked, and this made the atmosphere really bad in the restaurant.
