Have visited here many times , local for me nice food, good service , slightly overpriced for location but on the whole a good night out .
Another very lovely evening! Always nice good and a good atmosphere.
It is a lovely up market pub, cosy and friendly , staff where lovely, helpful polite. The food was ok, lovely menu but better than food.
Food was lovley. Unfortunately the very nice waitress ordered two wrong meals for us so two had finished eating by the time the other two meals arrived. Massala/moussaka (obvious mistake) but this always spoils the evening a little.
Lovely restaurant great food and really nice, friendly and efficient staff. Can seem a bit noisy in the main restaurant but that's not given me a negative experience.
Need to review the menu and add a few more dishes. We went on Saturday evening at 7.30pm and they were already short of some of the menu items. great atmosphere but the limited menu will put me off booking again
The serving staff were pleasant along with the service of the food . unfortunately because of the openness of bar and restaurant I found the dining area very noisy. I wouldn't think this would put me off dining there again.
Love time great food and good service. Not the first time here and we will be back
We arrived late due to traffic problems & were treated as if we were on time friendly & helpful. Each member of staff we encountered were very welcoming & made us feel special.
We were booked in for a Valentines meal. Got there for an 8.00pm booking and was told table wasn't ready, so had to have a drink at the bar, within minutes tables was ready, after being shown to our table, we found a few other empty tables ! Then we had to wait to give our order, after later arrivals had been served ! We then got the attention of Paul, after explaining our mishaps, he took charge, he couldn't apologise enough, he gave us a free bottle of very good wine, even though we were quite happy to have a much cheaper bottle, the rest of the staff all ensured the rest of the evening went perfectly. The food was delicious ( we eat out a lot at good restaurants) Even our after dinner liquor was free. All in all, what could have been a disaster, turned out to be a great meal with attentive service and great customer satisfaction.
Highly recommended and will go back again!
The Horse and Groom has a great welcome and the food was lovely. The real ale was top notch too.
On the expensive side for pub dining, but the food quality is far better than pub grub.
We had a wonderful evening and will be returning.
Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Food was well cooked and tasty. My husband asked for plenty of custard with his crumble, they obliged but at an extra cost which seems a bit nit picky. I had pancakes with sugar and lemon which were lovely but could have done with extra lemon.
Lovely food, excellent staff and great ambiance - we return time after time...
Been here a number of times in the past and always liked it. Chose here for a family celebration for a couple of birthdays.
The food was good and my roast was actually really nice but poor service let it down on this occasion. The place was busy and seemed frantic in general. We had a different waitress/ waiter each time and this seemed to contribute to the lack of attention and care. We had to keep asking to order our food/ deserts/ drinks. One drink we had to ask for 3 times and another twice. At no time did anyone check if food was ok or if we wanted anymore drinks.
My cousin was dining with another party and they had to wait 2 hours for their main course! They had given up trying to order drinks at the table and were simply going to the bar.
We chose not to pay the full (optional) service charge. The waitress pointed out we paid less than the total. When we said we weren't paying the full service charge she seemed to accept it.
Im willing to give the place another chance due to our much better experience on previous visits, however i wont be rushing back
Staff were very attentive despite the restaurant being super busy. Great selection of gins.
