The restaurant itself fuses the buildings iconic elegance whilst remaining lively and welcoming to all guests. With delicious dishes ranging from our incredible selection of small plates to share, or a wide selection of main courses.

Great cocktails, varied menu, excellent service and having a booth just added that extra touch. Fab night.
Due to an issue with our hotel room, we could not attend the restaurant at the original booking time, however we contacted the hotel reception to make them aware and were told that due to the issue being the hotels fault the restaurant would be happy for us to attend when ready.
We received a blunt phone call shortly after this stating the restaurant were asking how long we would be, and when we arrived were met by a rude woman who stated that we were late.’ We were sat on a table that looked like it was stuck on the end of another.
The food was average, and the quality similar to what I would expect in a high street chain such as Bella Italia or Frankie and Benny’s.
The only positive was our waitress who was a lovely girl.
Would definitely not recommend to friends.
Took about an hour to get served, 30 minutes to even get a drink. 3 of our group of 5 had to reselect choices. Restaurant not full, lots of staff, our waitress was very pleasant but it was all just so slow. Quite a lot of noise coming through from the bar. Food tasty.
I've been lots of times to the Hudson for drinks and food and it's definitely not as good as it was!
Food: We went the very end of January, as part of the 'restaurant month' menu which was 3 courses for £15 so really good value, but certainly wasn't their usual standard. My Fish Taco to start was completely tasteless and hard, which was followed by the Chicken Kiev for main which wasn't terrible, but basically was a chicken breast without any garlic or butter! So just chicken and chips really! Very disappointing.
Drinks: The 2-4-1 cocktails are now terrible. They were once properly made and you could taste the alcohol, now they're just fruit juice! Your bar man should know a French Martini's doesn't include fruit juice!
Lovely atmosphere, great staff and service, very good food and fab cocktails. No complaints at all and can't wait to go back!
Well where do I start arrived as booked table for 2.30 to be told no table booked and they didn’t use open table company
Server was stressed out and little rude wanted to see confirmation e mail etc when showed her she said we don’t use that company
Well then nice guy in shirt tie took us to a table
We had set meal which bargain for 10 quid 2 course
The cocktails lovely but there only few to choose from but one get one free they not cheap at 20 quid each
Bill arrived to find we had been charged service charge hang on min for table of 4 people I don’t think so I asked for this to be removed as not good practise as I tip I gave her the tip for her service was good
Brilliant service, decorum and general feel to the restaurant and would highly recommend for a nice, relaxed evening. Food was good but not breathtaking, however you pay for what you get!
The Hudson is a beautiful veune with beautiful food however spoilt by a snappy waiter upon arrival. Yes we where slightly late to our table as had been enjoying a few drinks in the beautiful bar. He told us off like school children however where them aloud to sit down. As we where ordering drinks he was extremely cheeky that we where not ordering enough drinks ( bearing in mind we hadn’t even finished ordering! what we had wanted to drink) we still left in the table in plenty of time before the next sitting and the rest of the staff that served us where lovely and the food was amazing. However this particular waiter spoilt the experience for us.
As regular customer sadly disappointing on this occasion. Poorly presented and tasteless main course of Beef Massaman and served lukewarm as was the desert of sticky toffee pudding, although the ice cream was supposed to be cold.
Delicious food and good service. Comfortable and pleasant atmosphere
Lovely venue, been before, great for a few friends or meal out with a partner - not for a large party, more of an intimate venue.
Food was lovely as always - high standard and very tasty. Can’t fault any course or item of food I’ve ever eaten here.
Not sure if it was a new waiter but he didn’t seem to know anything and we had to point out each item we wanted on the menu and the drinks menu then when he cleared plates from the main he just wandered off without asking or bringing a menu for deserts or asking if we wanted the bill so we sat for about 10 minutes doing nothing. He also took an extra glass of wine to the wrong table then went back to the table a few minutes later and took it away to take to another table which was a little unhygienic to be honest.
The lady at the table behind was watching a film at quite loud volume on her tablet as she was dining alone so it was a really big distraction behind - I understand dining alone but if you want to watch a film with it do it at home?
So I had a beautiful meal with my partner slightly marred by poor service (which isn’t the norm as everyone else seemed to be very spot on and attentive) and an inconsiderate lonely soul who made it feel like I was in the zoo at times (animals were screeching in her film)
We were asked for our food order before drinks. We then ordered a side of broccoli to go with the main course which was brought out along with the starters.
One of us ordered the Kiev which was really quite tasteless and had no filling whatsoever. It was really very underwhelming which is a shame as we had been looking forward to this for some time. I would not go back especially not at full price
Waited an age for wine.....starters......and mains.......then when my main arrived the burger was raw inside. it was taken away, and then waited an age for replacement. ......my wife had finished her main corse..........don't know weather I'd return to this restaurant. .....maybe.
It’s such a lovely restaurant but was disappointed when they sat three separate sets of couples all on top of each other in the middle of the restaurant. It wasn’t a busy night and there were other more private tables that we could have been seated at, which would have made for a better experience
Lovely staff, beautiful restaurant and amazing food and cocktails for the price
It seems a shame to write a bad review for The Hudson because I visit often for drinks and have been before when the food was great. This time however, and I am not sure if it was because of restaurant week/month, but the standard was a million miles away from what it usually is, primarily from a food but also service perspective.
Service: The gentleman serving us was actually lovely and overall his attitude was pleasant, but a few issues like we ordered a merlot and were given white wine, then at no point throughout the whole meal were we asked about ordering more drinks (or anything else for that matter) and just small things like there being no salt and pepper on the table were inconveniences that didn't need to be there.
Food: Actually stunningly bad for somewhere usually so good. We ordered off the restaurant week menu which was 2 courses for £10 so really good value, but for the starter I had Mozzarella filled meatballs which were poor. I swear that the sauce they were in is the exact same as the ready-made one I buy from Morrisons with that vinegary taste (I actually love it but don't exactly want to go out and eat it). I couldn't describe it as anywhere better than some microwave meals.
The Chicken Kiev for main was terrible. 2 of us on the table had it and we couldn't actually smell or taste any garlic in or outside of the chicken anywhere. It was overcooked too, so essentially a dry breaded chicken breast with no sauce, garlic, butter, or anything and some french fries on the side. If I made it in the oven at home I'd have been disappointed.
To The Hudson: Please let this be a one off as you're usually so good and despite this meal I'll still come back in future and give it another chance.
Had a lovely meal for restaurant week. Excellent value for money. The cocktail offer of 2 for 1 initially looked a good deal however after the first 2 drinks it was quite obvious that there was distinctly less alcohol used in the drinks that followed
The only faults were the service to get drinks order was slow and it was a bit cold in the booths
Food waS was amazing x best fish and chips I’ve eaten. Also starters were amazing a d all for the bargain price of £13 per person . Friendly straff lovely setting
felt uncomfortable from the second we walked in, it appeared the staff were talking about us, were not very friendly, not enough menus for one each, sat on an uncomfortable table even though there were booths available for the duration of our meal (and we had pre booked), one starter was cold, asked for it off the bill to be told ‘you pay for what you get’, burger sent back as it was pink which was not advised, whole plate was taken away so left with no food to eat while waiting 15 mins and everyone else had finished. When plates cleared we were not asked if we enjoyed. All very standard restaurant practices. Starter was taken off the bill and burger discounted 50% but nevertheless not an enjoyable meal. Wouldn’t mind but they are trying to brand themselves as an upscale restaurant but food and service does not fit.
Family Boxing Day lunch, great food and great service
Definitely better in the evening than for breakfast/brunch. Restaurant area was empty but service slow/clumsy. Took 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive (2 coffees) despite only two other tables being sat in the restaurant and no body at the bar. Bagel and chicken flat bread incredibly chewy and dry as we had watched it being sat on the hot plates for around 10 mins before it was brought out to us. Slightly disappointed as had had an excellent evening experience last year- don’t know whether it is overall slipping standards or whether it just isn’t the place for breakfast. Shame as had good expectations but won’t be returning in the AM.
It’s the third time I have been to this restaurant and had a great time. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was just right. Have recommended it to lots of people.
Lovely food and atmosphere, will definitely be back
Menu not as promised..
Food was very average. The dish I had was not good. The ingredients on the plate did not work together. Service, although attentive was distinctly average, got the feel no one was happy in their work. Portions sizes were on the small side. Beautiful restaurant and bar area is nice which is a shame as food, menu and waiting staff let it down.
The food quality was not great. The service seemed confused, starter were in the menu as you share’ but arrived as individual portions with no additional plates etc. The main was disappointing (steak and Thai broth) and not worth the price tag. Range of drinks was poor. The venue was through their bar area, so noise was high and an unpleasant smell. Then to top it off the waiting staff seemed to have no idea what was going on.
Not worth the considerable price tag!
Lovely meal before going to watch Jack Whitehall. Brilliant service.
Excellent family celebration for party of seven on a quiet Monday evening.
Food and service were first rate - thoroughly enjoyable visit - highly recommended.
Lovely food and a nice welcome, however we struggled to get anyone’s attention with being right at the back
We ordered from the 3 course meal menu. Fantastic choice of food and a great value. Staff were very professional. Cocktails were beautiful.
Perfect evening .1 minor complaint it was to cold and had to keep coats on...Staff were amazing and did move us tables but unfortunately still cold
Normally I would recommend the Hudson but on Saturday it was way overbooked we were put in a very tight corner couldn’t get in or out 45min wait for a starter and then another hour wait for a main meal. We couldn’t order dessert else we would have been late for our concert It was very noisy as everyone was complaining about the service I actually felt sorry for the staff
The food was good but the time it took to come was terrible almost an hour wait before we got the first course, I think they need to know how many tables they can cope with.
Very disappointed, having being here several times before for drinks, decided to book a lovely meal before going to see Michael Buble, our table was not great but was pleased to have one as we knew the place would be busy due to the concert and Christmas shoppers. The food was awful and the waitress walked past our table several times leaving the plates on the table. Every table was full but people were walking out due to waiting over 45 minutes for drinks and told food would be over an hour. Our food was cold and bland and when the bill arrived we asked for a reduction in the bill, we were told our food had already been discounted as we had chosen from the 2 course set menu, all in all very very disappointed and will not be going back.
We booked our table through the open table app and it was accepted immediately. Got there a couple of minute early, was told they just needed to get the table ready. No problem, was seated about 15mins later at 5:15pm, as they were setting the table a glass was broken by a staff member. Again no problem, they took our order and came back after 5:30 to say that there’s a delay in the kitchen and the food will take about 45mins, we explained we were leaving to leave about 6:30pm and as we were already been there 30mins we asked if it could be done any quicker as we also had only ordered mains. The manager came over and told us that they were overbooked and that they couldn’t do anything to help and just continued to say that they’re overbooked due to their online system. We left about 5:45pm meaning it wasn’t possible to go elsewhere, especially without a reservation. Food looked lovely but shouldn’t advertise on a reservation app if they are unable to fulfil the orders. Very disappointed.
I had read about the Hudson in Luxe Magazine. I think that my expectations were largely met. The A La Carte Restaurant was very quiet. The staff were attentive and efficient.
The food was very good with some imaginative selections to choose from the menu.
Spent my birthday meal at the Hudson with my friends and we absolutely loved it! All the staff were nice and the service was fab. 100% recommend and will definitely be coming back!
Lovely food and service by a new member of staff. I will be back for more of the vegan menu!
Amazing food/service couldn’t fault any of it. Would definitely come back
