Great food and well worth it. Will definitely return
Good service, great food well priced, really enjoyed it, beautiful restaurant
Fantastic meal and cocktails. All the staff were very good and professional will definitely be back
Food was delicious and service was decent and attentive even though they were very busy.
Was a little cool in the dining area as the main bar door was open (presumably for Covid).
Will definitely go back 👍
Lovely ambience in a restaurant very close to the railways station however service was very poor.
Been here several times for Sunday lunch and wouldn’t go anywhere else now for one in Newcastle city centre.Staff are lovely ,restaurant clean comfortable and nicely decorated ,and the Sunday lunch is delicious ,everything is fresh, meat and veg, the gravy well I could drink it, it’s so nice, yorkies are light crisp homemade and huge .Give it a try you won’t be dissapointed
Went on a Saturday night, had a lovely cocktail in the bar before being shown to our table. Was busy but service was quick and food arrived in good time. Really nice meal and well priced. Very happy with our visit.
Great food & an excellent atmosphere. The selection of dishes & deserts is great.
Graduation meal with family
We seemed to be an inconvenience for the staff even though we had booked a timed table and reserved with a credit card. When we asked why they were vacuuming the floor and dusting while were eating the staff seemed not to understand our point and advised that they were cleaning between breakfast and lunch service yet they were open for brunch and had accepted our reservation. We ordered drinks, coffee etc which didn’t arrive despite us asking 3 times, when we left we were told that the bar had got really busy after we arrived!
amazing service and food as always. the staff were lovely.
Excellent service, excellent food, reasonable prices and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Would definitely eat here again the next time we’re in Newcastle.
Would have been nice to have been offered the a la carte menu
Service was appalling, meal booked for 7.30pm, nobody took drinks or food order until we asked at 7.50pm if anybody was serving!!!!!!!!! After the main course they asked if we wanted desert menu, we said yes but after waiting 10 mins for it we decided to leave!!!!!!!!!!!
Far too long to be served at each stage and service charge shouldnt be compulsory
Waitress forgot about us when food did cone 2 hours later it was poor quality
Food was lovely . Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Great price . Nice atmosphere. Lovely surroundings.
Very good quality food plenty of choice and good size .
Delicious food, beautiful surroundings and friendly staff.
It wasn't busy, but we ordered drinks, then had to ask someone else for the same drinks as the server couldn't be seen at the point.
Our food order was also incorrect and when the food was brought out, we had to send 1 back twice and another once.
Communication across the serving staff needs to improve.
Everything else was good, thanks!
We visited the restaurant last night (Wednesday 8th) as we had booked a table for your restaurant week menu; partly as an early anniversary celebration (31 years!) and pre show meal for the show at the arena. The young waitress took our order for the 3 course option and we enjoyed our first 2 courses. It started to get busier and our wait for our dessert got longer and longer. My husband asked a waiter where our dessert was; and he checked the order. The young waitress returned and apologised; she hadn’t included the dessert when taking our food order! So it was hastily brought out ; nearly 40 minutes after finishing our mains. We were supposed to be meeting friends down at the Hard Rock Cafe for drinks before the show and we were too late because of the delay with the last course. I appreciate that it started to get busy, but no one asked us if we were wanting anything else in those 30-40 minutes.
Main course and soup were bland. Desserts was nice. Drinks good and staff friendly. Been a few times and would recommend but this will be my last time visiting as was very disappointed
First time visiting
My sons pasta dish had a piece of metal in ,waiter took it away and when it came back it looked the the same dish but watered down as the colour went lighter and less flavour.
Very dissapointed .
Everything was fab service and food as always this is my go to place
Perfect from start to finish. Very attentive
We made this booking last minute and they excellently accommodated a large party.
Fantastic food. Only snitch was every time we required a drink we had to request it - no member of staff came to the table to ask .
Bottomless brunch was great and fantastic service!
We booked for bottomless brunch and the menu stated a platter each, which sounds like a decent amount of food and it all sounded lovely. However when the platters actually arrived they had just deep fried everything and the portion was tiny considering the price. The food was really below standard and I wouldn’t come back again for this reason.
Very rowdy people in the bar , sat at out tables and were left for 20 minutes before anyone came back to serve us which is bad as you only get the table for 90 minutes on the bottomless brunch you also only get 1 jug of cocktails which isn’t exactly bottomless
Disappointing visit. Service slow ( waited 15 mins for drinks) and staff not readily available to take orders. Food just average and had to return food as cold.
Staff were friendly and the wine was good however. Lovely place, just feel ut's gone downhill lately
Starters good . Main course . Salmon fine , the surf and turf was breaded chicken that I would expect from a kebab shop , noddles tasteless . Guy offered me service charge back what wasn’t on the bill. So in the end just an apology. Expected better from the Hudson
Roast Salmon Fillet was outstanding along with deep fried squid as a starter , not too heavy
Food was outstanding, staff very attentive and friendly, will defiantly be back soon!
Excellent food but my experienced was ruined on my wedding anniversary because waiting service couldn’t take a simple request of having our food ordered correctly and to come together on time. This subsequently made us late for other engagements which tarred our special evening! Especially as we came from another City.
Great location, decor and ambience perfect
Lovely setting and good food and service, well worth a visit
We had the bottomless brunch it was really good value for money would definitely recommend & do it again
We arrived early for our reservation & we’re seated very close to other diners despite restaurant being less that half capacity on arrival. Requested to move tables as it was cold at our table due to air con but were told no because every other table had been specifically reserved…
Toilets seemed clean but were full of flies.
Staff were polite.
Drinks service was fairly slow.
Food wasn’t hot when it arrived.
By the end of our meal half the restaurant was still empty (& we even stayed a little longer than usual, to finish our drinks) so it seems they could have easily moved us to another table, but just didn’t want too.
Wouldn’t have tipped the full 10% if the service fee was optional.
