Fab night for 2 birthdays. Food and service excellent. Portions generous and reasonable prices will go again
Food was fine for the price but not the best Indian I’ve ever eaten. On a Sunday evening there were only the 4 of us in there so obviously no ambience to speak of but food arrived super quick which was a bonus.
Waiting staff efficient enough but didn’t have the spark/energy that makes you want to say much about them.
Wouldn’t be my first choice of restaurant but if someone else wanted to eat there I wouldn’t put them off.
Tables are ridiculoudly small, no room for plates and drinks. Curry was very poor with no flavour or taste, tasted like a Tesco microwave meal. Two different Currys tasted the same. Rice was mushy. Service was very slow. Overall very disappointing
Lovely place, really liked the decor. Food was lovely and well priced. We were on the long tables in the corner and felt cramped as table next to us was fairly close and kept getting knocked. They were a rowdy bunch of people so was quite distracting.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Best Indian food around, you only get better if you venture into Birmingham.
Our sons 21st birthday meal food was absolutely amazing and large portions,a great selection of cocktails and draught beers
Yet another great meal and evening at The Indian Tavern. They never fail on quality, quantity or price.
Best of its type that we have visited in the West Midlands.
We walked into be told no high table available when I complained after five minutes they came to say we found a table. I don’t understand why you bring starters and then fetch cutlery further more the mains came out and you hadn’t cleared the table from the starters and again had to go for cutlery noise levels are awful you can’t hear yourself think but the food is amazing and the rest you put up with
Our first visit. Food plentiful and excellent taste. Prices average. Would highly recommend and will return
Young lad first night very attentive and polite. The food came out on sizzler the smell was amazing had a box to take home value for money.
We ordered poppadoms, then starter and then main…. It was served mains first, then starters and then poppadoms!!!!! We complained and said that we had paid for poppadoms and wanted them in the order that you eat them..we were told that it’s all been cooked together as we stop cooking at 10pm…unbelievable.so they brought our starters at the same time as our poppadoms and we’re told we will bring out your mains in 10 minutes. We booked this time slot,so if they cannot serve after this time then don’t put it on your website to book.We will never go there again it spoilt our night out with friends. And to top it we were told to eat and drink up as they were closing.
Good food quick service only downside is menu is on an app on your phone I didn't have my glasses on so found it hard to read the menu
Poor service, small tables mediocre food and limited menu. Can’t quite make up its mind if it wants to be an Indian restaurant or a cocktail bar doesn’t work as both.
Had several meals here now and it never disappoints. Food fresh, very tasty and excellent value for money.
We came for a birthday meal and we was "served" by allana. She was unbelievable rude and unhelpful. It seemed like she didn't want to work there. As I say it was a birthday meal and her miserable face ruined the meal. I paid for my food and she didn't even say thank you. My other friend called her out on her terrible customer service and it looked like she was trying not to laugh. So disrespectful! I will never return to and if anyone asks me I will tell them not to bother unless you want to be insulted.
Really speedy friendly service and excellent food
I hate to give 1 star ratings, as I’m sure the food is lovely. Unfortunately, although we had booked a table for 7.45 this evening, when we arrived we were turned away as there were no free tables. The only one available was a high table with stools, which my disabled mother in law can’t sit on, hence why I’d specifically booked a standard table. Very disappointing turn of events for my other half’s birthday celebrations.
Fantastic food and service, very busy but the staff handled it really well and no one waited to long for their orders will definitely be returning in the near future
Been several times and always been rapid service, this time we had the table for 2 hours and yet no food arrived for 1hr 15 mins which gave us 45 mins to eat, the table was being cleared whilst last person was still eating, rushed from table and food was not upto the usual standard due to the high volume of customers, disappointed this time around however the management team were accommodating and this was reflected in the bill, I will still visit but felt they had too many people in to manage effectively.
